Great location Some rooms have much smaller balconies and some balconies are not in the sun. Pays to check if this is important, as even within the same class of booking it can differ

The studio was spacious and had many amenities, including a complete kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. It also had great ocean views, as it is located right in front of the beach. The restaurant was pricey and disappointing.

The staff were brilliant and room service was prompt. We needed a saucepan one night for cooking and it was delivered to our room in 10 minutes. My daughter left her toy bear behind and was upset and the staff were great and promptly posted it to us in Australia the same week. We loved the location, views, and it was very quiet at night. The 3 bedroom apartment was very comfortable and the kitchen great for cooking meals, we had 2 roasts that week and they were the best we have ever had! Free wifi and car parking were an added bonus and we appreciated the hotel booking our airport private transfers. A hint take your own dvd's from home as only 3 channels had English tv and very limited movie channels. The staff could have taken us to our room as we arrived at night and found it hot and dark and the air-conditioning was not turned on. Our main room aircond was not working at all and we had to wait 4 days for it to be repaired as it was over a weekend. We had other aircond's working in the bedrooms which were great and very cool at night. The hotel staff all need to speak English as many of them could not understand us over the week. The pool was tiny and overcrowded in the afternoons, we used the Novata Park hotel pool next door as it was the same chain of hotels, but the staff did not tell us this on check in. I knew from the website and so we used the other pool which was larger and nicer with a pool bar. Not a lot to do for the children except swimming in the pool or the beach, the hotel needed some more teenage friendly activities for holiday makers. The gym could have had classes also in English as I was hesitant to join in the morning ladies only french yoga or mat classes. We visited the Le Meridian hotel and that had a larger pool and was more fun for the children, however we liked La Promenade due to the apartment set up and cheaper for us to eat at home. The location to the beach and pontoon was excellent and the shops below very helpful for coffee and patisseries. We found Noumea very expensive to eat out as a family, so shopping at the local Casino super mart was helpful and we ate mostly at the apartment that had a great view from the balcony over the bay watching boats and cruise ships passing us each day. Overall a great place to stay and a relaxing holiday with excellent weather in January, 30 dg during the day and no rain.

The location, the apartment, close to public transport. Bed was one of most comfortable I've ever slept in. Kitchen well equipped. Staff very helpful and courteous. We changed apartments to one with a big balcony which I'd requested when we booked. Gt view of sunset. Very quiet. An Australian plug socket in bathroom. Food in La Terrasse on Christmas Eve was very good. Drinks expensive. Excellent boulangerie 5 mins away with cakes to die for. 2 local supermarkets provided all we needed and much cheaper alcohol. Drink before you eat! The larger more distant supermarkets have excellent range of mouthwatering french cheeses. Good range of restaurants within walking distance. Recommend Astrolabe, the microbrewery for beers and atmosphere, although didn't eat there, and the little stonegrill near the information office. You can book this hotel with confidence. Didn't dislike anything but felt the towels could have been changed more regularly and more care taken with the daily cleaning, but that's just being picky. Beware, rooms on top floors have small balconies. No mirrors in bedrooms for makeup which put pressure on bathroom. Personally felt the fees for the group fitness were totally ott which was disappointing.

Convenient location. Good to have self catering kitchen facility, sufficiently equipped. Strange smell in room. Internet connection intermittent and unreliable. Noisy nightclub adjacent. Guest gym very pokey, Thought room was expensive for what it was and that it was somewhat of an exaggeration to call it a "junior suite" as it was really quite small.

Location Check-in and check-out. Showed us to the wrong room as reservation details were not up to date. Then tried to charge us the incorrect amount at checkout, same error as on check-in. Fortunately we decided to settle our account the night before we left so we had time to wait for them to correct the error.

I liked about the hotel the design of the guest rooms; the location close to the beach; the ocean view from the room; the large terrace; and the free internet access. Also, the kitchen was very well equipped with new and clean appliances I didn't like that a few items in the room/hotel facility did not work or required maintenance, i.e.: the cardio machines in the gym; the room safe; and the keys in one of the elevators.

This was our 2nd experience at La Promenade; we had the Royal Suite both times. The Royal suite kitchen enabled us to cook if we wanted to or enjoy the surrounding restaurants and bars. La Promenade is located in prime position with the beach opposite and many other activities near by. As we have been to Noumea many times this is one of the best accommodation available beside the Le Meriden, which is the best.
