Great value for money. Clean, well maintained, with friendly staff. Close to the beach, restaurants, shops, travel agencies and transport.

Generally very quiet, but my room was overlooking the spa pool, and it was noisy at times. I had to keep the balcony door closed while the hotel guests were using the spa pool. The pool was closed on the last day and the following morning.

Horrible odor in the Lobby area. Pillow cases need replacing & pillows could be upgraded.

The room was well looked after. The shower as great. The pool was clean and we loved it.

The noise of the main road, see next comment.. The need to sign pool towels in and out (felt a bit untrusted). The position of the foot bath at the pool entry was dangerous!

We had a very warm welcom and reception staff were great, they were very helpful when we asked for help with locations organiseing taxis etc, we would recommend this hotel to any one that wants a reasonably price hotel, it also has a private swimming pool to relx in.

I liked the location. It was just a few minutes walk away from a terrific beach, shopping district, restaurants and markets. You can easily get a bus into the main city area. The staff speak English very well. I love the buffet breakfast; they are value for money (I think).

The hotel is very pleasant having been recently refurbished and the rooms have a nice balcony Overall the stay was pleasant, the staff were helpful and courteous and we enjoyed our stay in Noumea.

As previous reviewers have commented, the rooms on the street side suffer from traffic noise, it's virtually impossible to sit on the balcony on the street side without shouting and even with the door shut the traffic is clearly audible. The road is busy all day and most of the night, the worst noise being from over-revved small motorbikes and car horns We were aware of this prior to arrival, and asked Booking.com to arrange for a pool view room and received confirmation this would be available, but when arrived the hotel denied receiving this request and put us in a street side room. After one night we complained, the second night the balcony door wouldn't stay shut and this was intolerable, this was fixed the next day which made things a little better, but if you are used to quiet environment then you are still likely to be disturbed. The next day the hotel arranged a new room facing the pool but it was not available for another three days. The description of the rooms as studios with a kitchenette, this is disingenuous as there was only a microwave and no way of prepare a meal as there was only two dessert knives and forks, no bowls for salad etc & no wine glasses.

The location was excellent, and so was the service from the Reception staff. The room was ideal and the bed very comfortable. The price was excellent value for money when compared with what else is available in the area.

We had a room facing the main street and it was very noisy, especially the buzzy motor scooters. Try to get a room at the back of the hotel if possible. Sometimes the room servicing was variable - one day the cleaner left our damp towels dumped on the bathroom floor, and often the dish washing and tea sachets were not replaced.

Lovely position. Nice and clean and recently redone. Good access to facilities and transport. The aquarium is exotic. Amenities - massage, pool, exercise equipment, hairdressing... All excellent.

The wifi is unreliable, Staff doesn't know passwords for wifi -- although there are people constantly changing keyboards from French to English in the lobby.

We only can recommend this hotel as it exceeded our expectations. Everything is well maintained and clean. The hotel has been completely refurbished 3 years ago. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We have been upgraded from a studio to a one-bedroom which was very spacious and quiet (poolside). We certainly will book this hotel again for our next trip to Noumea.

Breakfast is quite expensive, but there is a bakery (Boulangerie d'Antan) close-by where you also can get a coffee.

It wasn't a studio unit - it was a bed room with facilities. There was one chair for two people. There was no table. The balcony chairs were not particularly comfortable. I was expecting a sea view - your promotional material didn't make it clear there was no sea view

We loved the hotel, as it lived up to it's number (Trip Adviser) 1 rating. the hotel was modern, and catered for our every requirement. Recommended.

The reception staff were particularly obliging and friendly. Room servicing was efficient and thorough. Enjoyed using the swimming pool and spa pool.

Traffic volume even at early hours was a distraction but not an irritation.

Great room riendly stay overall great experience

Extremely helpful staff who were friendly and obliging. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the seafront but easy access to the promenade. 1 bedroom suite was ideal giving space to relax away from bedroom. We were on the 5th floor with great view out to the islands in the bay. The sofa in the living room is quite uncomfortable but if that is all I can fault! Good to have some kitchen equipment (crockery, cutlery, microwave, fridge) to be able to eat in rather than dining out all the time. All in all would highly recommend Le Lagon to those who was value for money but spotless, friendly accommodation.

Excellent location in Anse Vata, beautifully appointed rooms, very comfortable (and big) bed; there's a bakery close by which is really handy if you want to enjoy a meal on the balcony or on the beach.

Good small hotel,location

Stayed in 2 different rooms and the safes did not work in either,sofa bed broken in one room but they moved us.
