Excellent location for early morning flights from MGA. Good breakfast included.
The aircondition cannot be regulated - you will either freeze or roast...
The privacy and the cleanliness. The grounds were superbly maintained and beautiful. You would never have known you were directly across from an airport. Our next trip into Managua will surely include a stay at the Las Mercedes Best Western.
Everything was wonderful with appearance and room cleanliness. The hotel layout was easy to follow and attractive.
Everything was wonderful as regards the accommodations, cleanliness, etc. The bathroom did mention not too drink the water. However, I am not sure that the ice cubes at the hotel were made with appropriate water . Usually better quality hotels make sure of the water in their food and ice preparation. My husband got very sick that night. I had to go down to the front desk to get additional bottles of water for him to keep fluids in him. It was a difficult trip home and for two days afterward. I suggest when drink orders are taken by staff that people are reminded not to have ice cubes OR please use better quality water. We would like to continue to use Best Western in the future. Internet was difficult to use.
Great location, nice pool area, lovely grounds
"airport shuttle" only serves domestic terminal (we were international) wifi was slow some light bulbs burned out no soap
Excellent location across the highway from the airport. Friendly and courteous staff. Quiet. Nice pool/bar area.
proximity to airport
Had to argue for the room I was promised. Two single people that had reserved a room with 2 beds and then given a one bed room. It took quite a bit of pushing back to get the room promised.
What a change from 5 years ago. It is in perfect condition; room was fine; only one negative
Water pressure in shower was weak.
Location great but I will not stay there again. Any hotel that forces a family of 4 to stay in 2 rooms is only about scamming extra dollars and not about service. I have stayed at las Mercedes many times and am extremely disappointed in these recent changes which cost my family of 4 almost $250 extra dollars during our 2 night stay atthe beginning and end of our vacation.
It had comfortable beds and pillows very clean and private rooms. Very nice outdoor dining also..nice staff
Loved the location.Restaraunt was nice and included breakfast far more than expected. didn't realize on arrival that there is a shuttle from the airport even though it is across the street, so no need to deaf you're luggage across.
ONLY negative was that the internet could be better. had to go to the lobby for it to work well.
Reasonable price, nice staff. Beds are comfortable. Restaurant is good, especially the included breakfast. Great location so close to the airport. We walked across the street at 5am for our 6:30am flight. No problem.
Bathroom smelled a bit moldy, and I had to call to get hot water in the shower. They did get it working promptly though.
Great place to stay for an early flight. Was able to have breakfast after checking in for my flight. Room was comfortable.
Had to pay for things from the restaurant as you go instead of having the option to have a tab. The restaurant and bar had very average and overpriced food and drinks.
as we arrive late at night, this hotel was perfectly situated across the airport.
Location and very clean.
We were double charged on the room. Still waiting to have this problem rectified.
This place is right across the street from the airport, so it's perfect when you have a flight leaving early morning or arriving at night. The rooms are fine, the restaurant is very good, and the staff treat you well.
It was all good.
Location, location, location. I stayed at the Camino Real at the start of my trip but this place is much better for an early morning flight to America. It's literally across the road from the terminal so there is no waiting around for 30 minutes for a shuttle. I was so lucky, the queue for my check in was so short that I checked in my big bag, got my tickets, and then went back to the Best Western for breakfast. The grounds are huge, so it's a grand place to spend half a day. Plus, there is a nice big outdoor swimming pool at one part of the complex. This was my second time to stay here and I will be back. Also, breakfast is included in the price, whereas it costs US$12.50 over at the Camino Real, which is way too expensive for Nicaragua. It's a huge all you can eat buffet style breakfast here and the staff were very generous with the coffee when I lingered on to read my newspaper. It's so close to the airport that I popped over for an evening meal at one of the food courts at the Augusto Sandino. Also, there is very little noise despite the proximity to the terminal, so I got an excellent night's sleep.
The price is a tad expensive for Nicaragua, but it's still an excellent choice for an evening arrival or early morning departure from Managua.
Front desk always available and easy to communicate with . GREAT buffet breakfast and much appreciated in the cost of the room. The convenient location and breakfast will keep me coming everytime I fly into managua late.
pool, room, beauty products in the room
Landscaping is beautiful. Location is perfect for airport. You can walk to airport in less than 3 minutes, however, noise levels are not bad at all, as this ain't Atlanta! There are few flights in and out.
Didn't have longer to stay and get daytime photos of the grounds.
location, clean rooms, good AC.
very overpriced for what it is. the food is mediocre at best and overpriced. Beer prices are outrageous too but i suppose unless you're willing to take a $20 cab ride to metrocentro or venture into managua's underbelly you're stuck.
Location is great for early morning flights or late night arrivals into Managua. The building is nice.
Food was poor quality, I ordered pasta and got stale old garlic bread and the sauce was warmed and not fresh. My boyfriends steak sandwich was cold and the fried we're not fresh, the prices for the good quality we got was not a good value. There was a cockroach in our room, we stayed for two weeks backpacking the country and that was the second time we had seen a cockroach in a room the other was a bungalow on the beach where we paid near to nothing. I would only stay here again if I had another 6am flight, not work 95$ plus tax.
