The pool was ok

I did not like the staff. The wife's owner was rude, bad customer service. Our hotel rooms did not meet our expectatives, we supposed to get an ocean view and it was a dining room view, the same with the another room: garden view = laundry view. It wasnt close to the beach either. At the end we had to leave very dissapointed about our visit. I'll never recommend this place to anyone. I felt I paid for no a pleasure vacation.

Another great stay at El Jardin! We love coming here for our Costa Rica visa runs:) The owners are so friendly and attentive, and of course little Charlotte is a doll. Great place for families with young kids, relaxing pool, amazing view, and a short ride to San Juan.

This hotel was terrible in comparison to the rest of our trip. If you haven't been to this hotel, it's not easy to find. About 6 km outside of town. So if you want to go see or do anything in town you need a taxi, or have rented a car. The hotel is very pretty with bright colors and ran by a French couple with a 2 year old. The hotel is not vegetarian friendly and meals are cooked out of kitchen which a naked two year old uses as her play ground. No tv, or pictures on the walls in the room, completly cinder block or cement construction. Nearly a 3/4" gap at the front door, and 3/4" gap leading to the patio looking at the Garden (this means jungle) and tons of mosquitos. A toilet seat that had been incorrectly cleaned by someone in the past and looked disgusting, Could you just get a new one. They need to sell this place and concentrate on raising their two year old.

In my many travels - and I travel a lot - I don't think I've stayed at a hotel as welcoming and friendly as El Jardin. The couple who own the hotel were incredibly nice and helpful. The food that was served was great. The room was very nice.

The design of the the place, simple but stylish and the view is amazing!

The hotel is about 4 km out of San Juan del Sur and the road to get there doesn't deserve the name "road".

The view was absolutely amazing, the owners very friendly and helpful, the dinner was excellent, breakfast was too, and about 15 minutes to San Juan beach, we were very pleased!

“Perfect” Reviewed April 13, 2012 great boutique hotel, Set up on a hill overlooking San Juan Del Sur; beautiful vista a couple of miles outside the main town. The owners are extremely accommodating and genuinely terrific people. Also, a great "value". Extremely clean rooms with a nice pool just outside the front of the hotel. The cuisine? Typically French, but, not "imitation", rather the "real thing"; very authentic. I would recommend El Jardin to all who visit! Happy travels!! Room Tip: Best rooms overlook the bay, beautiful and quiet, a good idea to choose a room with air conditioning...

I enjoyed everything; in my mind, the hotel was perfect!

Un lugar para relajarse y descansar!!

El trato recibido fué excelente, el desayuno muy bueno, el hotel en si muy bonito y muy tranquilo por las noches. Vistas privilegiadas. No echamos nada en falta pues está a solo 5 minutos en coche de las playas, restaurants, tiendas etc. I really recommend this hotel as the owners are very helpful, excelent breakfast, near the beaches, shops, restaurants etc. Next time we go there, we shall book another room for sure.

El acceso es algo regular, no hay tele en los dormitorios pero eso al final es mejor pues te relajas totalmente. Por lo demás nada negativo. The access is not too well and there is no TV at the room but at the end this is really better if you want to relax. The rest is Ok.

No hay palabras para describir el buen servicio recibido por Delfin y Timoti, nos encanto el espiritud de servicio que ellos tienen. el Hotel tiene un ambiente agradable que permite la relajacion y el disfrutar de tan maravillosa vista y lugar. el restaurantante sin duda sobrepaso las expectativas...delicioso!!!....quedamos maravillados....no es un hotel de lujo pero el lujo queda de lado cuando pesonas tan calidas hacen que tus vacaciones sean inolvidables.

Gelukkig wijzigden we onze plannen en verkozen San Juan del Sur in plaats van Rivas. El Jardin ligt op 4km. Van de gezellige badplaats en is te bereiken via een wegje van slechte kwaliteit. Eenmaal boven prachtig uitzicht op de baai, zeer rustig, veilig, nette kamers, proper zwembad....Tot onze tevredenheid verkozen we een iets duurdere kamer met airco met zicht op zwembad en baai. Uitstekende en gevarieerde-naar Nicaraguaanse normen duurdere-keuken. Heel vriendelijk onthaal door koppel Belgisch / Franse uitbaters in het Spaans, Engels, Frans, Nederlands....Een aanrader!

La tranquilidad que ofrece el Hotel, la comida muy buena y la buena bondad de los trabajadores y los duenos.

Falto rotulo cerca de la carretera.

Me gusto que los duen-os del hotel y el personal fueron muy amables todo el tiempo.tambien me gusto que las camas son confortables y muy limpia la ropa de cama.

Lo que no me gusto mucho es la distancia y la calle para entrar hasta alla esta en muy mal estado.Yo fui con mis padres y para ellos era dificil caminar por que las edades eran mi mama 75 an-os y mi papa 81.an-os tambien seria importante que vendan mas cositas para asi no estar buscando taxi o bien que el hotel brinde servicio a los clientes aunque tengamos que pagarlo.

No tenian registrada nuestra llegada y, pese a que el personal era amable, la duena tiene mal caracter y fue grosera con nosotros.

Das Hotel hat mir insgesamt gut gefallen.Das Frühstück war sehr gut , die Möglichkeit, auch am Abend dort zu essen auf Grund der etwas abgelegenen Lage prima. Ein Lob dem Koch-das Abendessen war in allen Fällen extrem lecker !!!! Man kann sehr schön draußen sitzen und den Blick auf das Meer sowie den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Die Hotelinhaber sind ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam.Eine gute Lokalität,um in der Nähe des Meeres und doch fern vom großen Rummel zu entspannen ! Sogar in der Semana Santa findet man hier Ruhe !

Die Zufahrt zum Hotel ist sehr steil und recht schwer befahrbar. Vielleicht sollten Gäste, die nicht wie ich im Jeep anreisen, das vorher wissen !

The room was nice and clean. The Air condintioning unit was whisper quiet. THe bathroom was modern and comfortable with hot water. The food was delicious. Nice pool with a great view of the coast and sunset.

It is a little bit outside of San Juan and taxi's can be a pain. The road is rough so they don't like going up to it, so the price is a little higher.
