The whole presentation of the hotel was breath taking. A cluster of bungalows steps away from the beach. The restaurant there was nice and the food was tasty. Our stay there was very comfortable. The hammock on the front porch of the bungalow was nice just to relax in. The staff was nice and accommodating.
I think their should be an investment in mosquito nets. We had a bug issue in our room when we first arrived. Also an investment in a washer and dryer. They do launder clothes, but everything is done by hand. If it rains...you can't get garments cleaned.
Our stay here was wonderful! The staff was friendly, courteous and prompt. The location is ideal. The grounds are gorgeous. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The room was very cute and comfortable and had air conditioning. I do not know why this place is not rated higher; we visited other hotels on the island for food and drinks and none even compared. Highly recommended.
This was the most ideal setting for our family to relax, swim in the Caribbean and enjoy the excellent surroundings at Paraiso Beach Hotel. We loved our stay.
Restaurant staff was wonderful and the food was good.
The place looks run down and in need of someone that cares. Seems like the person who owns the place doesn't care anymore.
Walkable to the "town", free transport to ferry and airport, very helpful staff
For the price rooms were dark and dirty. For $60 or so on big corn it is possible to find cleaner r
Food was fairly good, location was close to ocean but beach was filthy and property was not beach front. Houses across street were tenement style with no sewage treatment, just outhouses. Property smelled of sewage at times.
Property was run down, not worth $60 a night, they tried to charge $70 a night, they asked for tips, rooms were old, beds were sway-backed, shower was rusted and very old, cold water only, substandard for American traveler, unlike Casa Canada which was lovely
Clean. Owners very friendly.
The ad gave the impression that we had booked a hut near the beach. In fact it was more of a regular hotel room, facing a back garden.
The island Big Corn is an interesting place to visit, evn if not a safe one.
We had booked a 3 nights stay in that hotel. We booked a 'Bungalow'. After arrival and check in, the staff member showed us the accommodation. I became very angry and the anger kept until the end of our stay. We got a simple double room with 3 old beds in a mostly wooded complex of 3 rooms. It was obviously the old accommodation and had nothing to do with the 'Bungalow' we booked. They kept telling us this is the bungalow...also some neighbours were not happy about the same. The room was about almost 90 USD per night, not including breakfast. We paid for airconditioning and what we got was the first model of airconditioning mankind has seen...it did even after a 4 ours full power usage not cool down even 1 degrees celsius, but left a noise you'd think a truck runs through this dark hole. There are no windows!!! Only wooden, selfmade window shutters, having inside an old and insufficient unsealing moskito net. These windows and the fact airconditioning does not work made the nights sleepless and terrible for a high price! At check-in, the staff told us not to walk around at night, as it is dangerous. So we had to skip the 15 minute walk and take a taxi to the restaurant. The island is not yet touristy and there is not so much time to enjoy, as it is dangerous. There have just been a number of criminal incidents days before we arrived. Local taxi drivers (spanish) told us also how dangerous it is and they feel discriminated too. This fact can be seen in this hotel too, as we had the farthest building (not Bungalow!!) out, we heard the dog barking and the saw the security guy and once even the owner shining all ovr with the torch and running after some noise. All this, made our stay terrible. No sleep, wrong and really terrible accommodation, heavy security lacks on the island, where police gets paid off by criminals. I honestly with all feeling disrecommend especially this hotel, but also the island itself.
Food was fabulous
The receptionist was not friendly; she constantly scowled and the wasn't very good at helping us arrange activities. We found some locL on the street to take us snorkelling on Little Corn
Nice and clean, all people are very friendly.
Excellent staff - especially the restaurant staff, but also reception, facilities (gardeners who keep the grounds very well) and of course the friendly managers who take good care of all their residents.
No hot water! But then, it is a remote and small island.
The gardens are beautiful and The staff helpful and friendly. The fod was also excellent. Stayed four days and enjoyed every moment!
Everything was nice. Corn Island is really the paradise. Staff in the hotel restaurant were very kind. The islanders are very friendly
Staff were friendly and the aircon was great! Airport shuttle was a nice touch.
Just wasnt what we expected. The local beach was average at best and situation wasnt very convinient.
