The creativity of the place. Lots of detail in its decoration and the pool. Everyone comes to the pool because of the hot weather. Breakfast was excelent, everything they promised the hotel delivered. The man that helps with the bags was the best.
The staff not helpfull at all. We stayed on the rooms on tbe second floor but got a glimse of the first floor and looked run down and dirty. Some things looked dirty like the juice dispensers at breakfast.
The Staff was friendly and helpful. They knew I wanted to practice my Spanish and they were again very helpful. You get a 30 minute spa treatment for every night you stay which I enjoyed.
Having talked with one other couple, we concluded that if you book on line, such as this site, they stick you in a less desirable room. When I booked the trip I requested airport transport to and from. When we got to the airport to leave we found out that we had only been billed for one way and we had a little hassle to get the balance paid while standing at the airport entrance.
The pool is nice and the facilities are just fine. It's close to things in town and easy to walk from there to just about anywhere. Every room comes with a free spa service, but, I wasn't able to take advantage of that.
The room I had felt cave like and the bed was uncomfortable.
Spa treatment included in room. Nice. Pool very nice.
Ducks swimming in pool
I enjoyed my night here. It's clean and pleasant and they gave me cocoa tea! Also I didn't realize you get a free spa service with the room until it was too late. What a nice thing.
Beautiful environment Fatima give the most amazing massages
Wifi was erratic
The garden areas were lush. The pool side bar was a good place to "hang out" Harvey and Harriet the two white rabbits who were at my door every morning were fun to watch as were the ducks in the pool and the goats on top of the bar roof.
My room was small and cramped. The free breakfast was to not good at all. The spa area was not as sanitary and clean as it should be. The hotel is old and needs a lot of sprucing up.
Really nice set-up and facilities. loved the pool, lovely room too.
Couldn't get consistent Wi-Fi in our room but communal areas fine.
The staff was extremely patient and helpful to us with our limited Spainish ability. One woman even helped us make our reservation at our next destination in Matagalpa.
The second day we were staying (of 3), the pool was drained for repairs. The "onsite" is about a block away.
free 30 min spa treatment for every night of stay good breakfast buffet excellent location
pool bar closed at 6pm parking was in a lot around the corner from hotel
Great in many ways just not my type of hotel. Staff are excellent, building is nice to stroll around. Spa facilities are nice and there's a customer discount and a free cocktail at the pool. Breakfast is very nice with eggs, pancakes and a choice of drinks and extras.
The room was the biggest flaw in the place. The wifi in our room was poor yet we were told it would work fine in all rooms (estrella). We got this on a discount price on booking.com, I wouldn't pay the full price. The rooms are massive but very poor use is made of the space. I.e. Our bed room could have held 3 king beds comfortably, yet they converted closets for the bathroom and sink and at that put the sink in a seperate closet.
If you like beautiful architecture, then you will be charmed by Hotel Spa Granada Makes your stay in this town much more special
Hotel car small, didn't have air conditioning a few days. Not enough info on quality of tours or all your options on restaurants. We found the great restAueants by the lake by accident on our own.
Patio Friendly Staff Wonderful view from the upper floor (roofs of Granada)
Booking didn't forward the correct reservation so we slept first night in a room wihtout balcony. But hotel manager was very helpful and arranged another rooms the following days plus SPA extras :-)
The massage and facials. Front desk people will go above and beyond for you I was having breathing problems and the young lady from the desk ran outside to find me a paper bag to help with my breathing. David let me use his personal phone so I could call my mother back in the states every day he even came in on his day off so I could do this. The importance of the phone call was my mom had a stroke so I was checking in on her. Great people all around.
Nothing to complain about
Beautiful facility and pool area. Close to town square. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Room was very dark and air conditioning function was minimal. Chemical balance in swimming pool wasn't right. The water burned my eyes.
The ambience, the friendly staff, breakfast, were great! The pool area, although I did not use it, was beautiful. It's an awesome historical hotel. Definitely recommend.
Wifi signal was too low. The bed in the room a bit small for a couple.
Overall great location that was just the perfect distance away from the tourist trap. The pool with bar was perfect for a hot day and the hotel offered a decent breakfast. They also arranged transportation from Managua airport to the hotel. From desk staff was always helpful and accessible.
The hotel's cheaper rooms felt far removed from main areas which made for poor wifi. We had to go to the lobby for the best wifi. There was also poor lighting in the room overall. The rooms were also a little cramped for space and the bed comfort was just okay.
The pool area was very nice and relaxing (we went during low season) and the free massages were great!
The room was poorly lit and only included a full size bed which we found a bit small.
Great price and location. The staff was amazing.
The hardy breakfast and location ..
Beautiful hotel- fantastic value for your money. Staff was incredibly helpful. Beautiful pool, great atmosphere. Spa is fantastic as well. Can't say enough good things!
This is a very nice hotel in a very old house. It ia just a short walk to anywhere in the center. Very nice pool area and artistic seatings all over the common areas gives this hotel a nice charm.
Wifi was very bad but it was bad all over Granada. You have to sit by the lobby to get connected
Good location in downtown Grenada with the Central Park in 5 min walking distance
Our room (heart symbol) missed a window, was kind of sub-terrain with a basement smell and very loud. It had doors to another room and the hallway on 3 sides of the room. We saw other rooms on the 2nd floor which were much nicer. The pool could use a makeover (many tiles missing) and the water quality was not the best (strange smell and burning eyes due to too much chlorid I guess)
The location is good and is the only thing we liked about this hotel.
The hotel is 2-3 stars maximum, definitely not 4 stars. But has the prices of a 4 star hotel. We booked a 'deluxe room' and expected something nice. What we got was a bad maintained, big room, right under the roof. The floor and the ceiling was made with thin wood, so you can hear every step as if somebody walks right through your room. The big room has a small airconditioner and is badly isolated as, as said, the floor and ceiling are covered with thin wood only. The rooms was the whole time 29°C hot with the aircon working full level 24 hours. During the night you can see light coming through the ceiling and you can hear birds walking on the ceiling wood. The floor is not very clean and the bathroom also not. The bathroom is very small. In the room we had millions of termites and ants. Not a nice place. The swimming pool is big, but the water dirty, not a place you want to swim. Reason for this is that 4 ducks live in and around the pool and you can find feathers and bird droppings in and around the pool. Really the dirtiest water in a swimming pool I have seen in my life. And nobody does something as removing the ducks or cleaning the pool. The pictures on the booking platform looked very different from what is reality. The whole pool area is badly maintained. Not recommendable. The breakfast was not good. There was nothing I would like to eat.
