Hotel 83  

very good experience from clean room, plenty of hot water to friendly staff. good breakfast from caring cook, who is a most interesting fellow. you will feel safe and looked out for here.

Location for city center was very good. Leaving keys with reception is a good idea for added security.

I booked a single room with private bathroom but was given a shared bathroom. Stairs are lethal and very steep, elderly and children please avoid.

Not too bad, but room was a bit dingy/dirty

Staff were awesome, down to earth guys with a cute cat that sleeps on the reception desk all day. Right in the heart of the Red Light District.

If you're looking for luxuries or amenities, stay somewhere else ( I.e the shower needs a shower curtain), but if you plan to be out having a good time in the rld then it doesn't really matter anyway.

no elevator and stairs was tight with high angle like climbing a mountain which is very difficult if you are holding a suitcase.

Staff were most helpful and courteous,since its a Budget Hotel did not expect frills and fancies,my expectations were met,and had the most enjoyable stay in Amsterdam. Room and bathroom were clean what else do I need! There was a cleaner to do the touch ups daily.

The steep staircase is a bit daunting while coming down as the steps are narrow..its not a complaint,just an observation.

Everithing is right , good location , good rooms and restroons also, for the price , in amsterdam is really great value , I do recomend if you are looking for sheap and good hotel in amsterdam , go there and enjoy , I am sure I will return back.

They do not have clean room service only the bad thing is it i've got 4 days there , and never cleaned the room , but ok

the hotel had just bed and bathroom no other things in room like ketttle hair dryer the shower gel and shampoo was in very small sachets we paid 190 euro for two nights which wasnt really cheap i wouldnt recomend this hotel to any one we also got room with two single beds when i asked for double bed i was told they couldnt change rooms for us

Fun location, nice staff (family run), good breakfast, cool house cat, comfortable bed and bathtub. Decent internet, well placed electrical outlets for the tech friendly.

Would have liked a safe in the room, however I had no security issues.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the use of a shower after completing the half marathon when I had already checked out.

I wanted a location close to Central Station, but had not checked too thoroughly where the hotel was situated in relation to the red light district, which was a newbie mistake. As it turned out, my initial concerns on arrival of noise and security were unfounded, but perhaps not a location for a family stay.

Might seem an unfair comment but this hotel was better than I had expected. Given its location and price I was expecting it to be more 'down market' but I was more than happy with the hotel. This is not meant to be 'faint praise' - I was very satisfied with the hotel Location is excellent and staff welcoming.

For where it is located the price and star rated, it fits the bill for a couple on a budget. Really nice staff, clean and tidy. Not for kids cos right in the heart of the red light.

This is not about the hotel, but lots of work on the canal right outside the front door. Hopefully finished by the time I return in the spring. (Should be).

Excellent location. Fair price.
