Blatent misrepresentation on the website: there is no parking (although they say they offer a parking service which is expensive and you have to wait 10 minutes). If you want to pay by credit card they charge a massive extra 4%. Room was tiny, dirty and badly maintained. The lift wakes you up every time someone takes it. Worst hotel I have stayed in (out of 4 in Amsterdam this week).

The location is relatively close to the center, very specially if you rent a bike (which I strongly recommend in ams) I don't think that the breakfast they offer is worth 9 euros...

The room was extremelly small we couldn't even move to it, didn't know where to put our things..although looked bigger in fotos. The room was very simple, old and dirty, although looked luxury, modern and romantic in fotos. The price was extremelly high for what they were offering and the staff were very rude!! And boring to give tourist informations. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. About location they mention center but it is not exactly in the center, you have to take the tram and are many stops far away from the center..Late at night you need to use taxi to get back and they are very expensive in Amsterdam..

Location / price / staff friendly My room could do with an update/once-over. It was a little tacky but I would be inclined to book the hotel again. Room 35.

Great hotel for a quick stay in Amsterdam, for a reasonable budget. Just far enough from the city center bustle. Close to transportation hubs. Really nice bar and terrasse inside !! Recommended !!

Suprisingly nice for the low price, especially compared to other hotels in the city. Staff was very nice. A bit away from the main tourist sights, but a nice low cost option if you're mainly looking for a place to sleep. Rooms are a bit tight space-wise (think Nordic hotel rooms), and walls a bit thin, but you get what you pay for and it's quite nice for the price.

The location is really great. It's close to the park and to the city centre at the same time (about 5mins walk). The neighbourhood is quiet and typical old Amsterdam look. The breakfast does not makes you wow!, but still with the solid quality and standard - cereals, milk, yoghurt, some variety of bread, eggs, ham, cheese, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, honey, several kinds of jam, butter, tea, coffee, water, orange juice. The standard of the room, especially the quality of furniture and bathroom made me feel to be more in the hostel, not in the hotel, so don't be allured by the pictures - interiors do not look so glamorous. The room was very small - there was just the bed (pretty comfy, though), small desk with chair, very small space imitating wardrobe (it was hidden behind the mirror), few wooden shelfs and a tv (on the desk). The space designed to move from front door to the window was very narrow (standing there you have to sit on the bed to give other person free way) as well as from window to the bathroom (opened small suitcase was just enough to fit). Hairdryer did not work.

I love the hotel because I can manage my tour with the help of hotel staff, and they have a great discount for any museum in amsterdam.

It was cheap, not so rasy to find at first but then it became evident. It was a nice quiet neighbourhood away from the bustle of the city. A nice porch downstairs for coffee and a ciarette, the rooms were very clean but packed toiletrees and towels. The room was a little too small, we expected more for the price we payed. Toilet didn't have enough shampoo/conditioner/soap and it was too small to even pee standing.

Realatively low price, decent location, open 24 hrs, bar downstairs 24 hrs Staff was only ok. The room was a little too small. Even though I signed a paper saying I would not smoke, the whole place had a smoke smell to it.

The staff is friendly and helpful There was a plumbing problem in the room we stayed which couldn't be resolved due to it being Sunday. However we were relocated to another room, which unfortunately faces the main road and was noisy.

I liked how close it was to the city center and parks, and how helpful the staff was. The room was very tiny and a little bit cramped. Also, there was no air conditioning and it was quite hot.

Staff are so rude, they ignore you and leave you alone which I quite liked as I couldn't be bothered to be nice to them after the first day. Tiny rooms and horribly noisy lift. You can't even take a shower in the minuscule bathroom. Everything in the hotel is such awful quality and falling apart.

“Yes the rooms are basic but we knew to expect this and was very, very impressed with our standard room. For the small price we paid the hotel was immaculate, clean and modern. Very friendly and helpful staff too, a safe and secure environment but still close to the main hustle and bustle with good transport links. Although we only stayed for one night wish we had stayed longer as the bed was sooo comfy! Just what we needed for our short break, somewhere clean and cosy to get our head down.” Laura, Brighton & Hove |
