Very good,
Score from 656 reviews
“ The location is great. It`s in the museum area. The Rijksmuseum and Vincencent Van Gogh Museum are nearby, maybe 2 minutes walking. This district is very quiet and cozy, not look like noisy centre of the city. And it`s not far from the centre, maybe 10-15 minutes walking or 5 minutes to get by tram. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. ”

The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was varied and the entire hotel spotless. The shower I had in room 18, was the most powerful I'd ever been under. it looked old, hot and cold taps, but by heck ! It nearly tore my skin off. Brilliant. My friends had a large room and were also very impressed too. It was just a one night stay but I would definitely stay again. Superb location also, 197 bus route just around the corner to and from Schlipol Airport. Given the price, the furniture could do with some modernisation, but that in itself would detract from the charm of the hotel. I also could not speak for the rest of the hotel having only been allocated a single room.

Ideal location both for museums and trams/airport buses. Friendly and helpful staff, Fan in the bathroom didn't function, so it stayed a bit damp after a shower. Our room (3) was affected by plumbing noises from other rooms - a problem if your neighbours get in late or get up ridiculously early and take long showers.

Service was outstanding and pleasant. My roon opened out to the pretty garden....And being early spring it was great to enjoy the opening of the lovely magnolia buds. Decent breakfast available and included in price, and gluten free products were made available with no hassles. Decor needs updating but otherwise it s one of the best hotels i ve used in amsterdam.

Staff was very friendly. Location great - near museum, tram, airport bus and city center. Good rooms and quiet area. Good breakfast. Has elevator which is good since stairs are narrow.

The location was good. Called several times to make a change in the reservation and nobody answered the phone. The decor is very outdated and makes the hotel feel cheap. The 4th floor's hallway is dark and poorly lit. One of our rooms doors did not lock and they were not concerned about finding a solution. It took 30 mins. To find another room.

Great and peaceful location, but still in the center. Our small double was very small. Bed was too narrow for two adults. There was no ventilation in the room which led to poor air quality. Breakfast was quite simple.

Very nice location near the museumplein. Few minutes for the rijksmuseum, museum of diamonds and Van Gogh museum. Something around half hour walking to RLD and central station, or 10 minutes by tram. Direct bus from airport stops just around the corner. Absolutely friendly staff give me lot of advice about city sights, excursions and so on. Very quite place, away from bad smells coffeeshops and noisy night clubs. So most of guests are aged people. However, you still can go to the Leidseplein and have fun there. It's just 10 minutes walk. PS. Stairs is awesome! Very small room. I strongly believe it's time to change the elevator! I simply stuck in there! Thanks to hotel staff, the rescue was immediately. I think that prices should be slightly lower. No air freshener in toilet.

The staff were extremely friendly and willing to offer assistance by suggesting places to eat etc. the rooms were large but traditional in style and very clean and tidy. The breakfast was self service but high quality and tasty. The location was great for visiting the Rijksmuseum etc and an easy stroll from other locations. The staff recommendation of Pompa, a local restaurant , was excellent. The breakfast tables were a little close together and the bath towels could have been larger.

Great bathroom, high ceiling, cosy, friendly atmosphere, nice staff, quiet, great beds, very close to tons of public transport A bit old-fashion, a tiny bit dated feel, but it goes well with the area and the building, the high ceilings compensate

Convenient location. Staff very courteous. The decor was a little " tired" could do with a bit of freshening up. Small double room really does mean small and I think the bed may have been a 3/4 double which was ok for us but would definitely not suit the taller or larger framed guest!!

Good breakfast, wireless worked well. Good location for art lovers, although Van gogh museum was closed for renovation during our stay. Close to walk to Leidersplein but not too close where it would be noisy. Old fashioned shower where the water goes into a drain in the floor with no tub, hard to keep the floor dry.
