Very pleased with Hotel Aalders, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff.
Location, v quiet, and staff were excellent
The position if this hotel is excellent if you want to visit the museums. Most of them within walking distance. The decor of the hotel is a bit old and could use renovation but the location and friendly staff totally make up for it. Everything worked fine, heating, hot shower, elevator. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast.
Excellent location in a very quiet street. Breakfast with few options but good quality. Friendly staff. Our room for 4 adults was big and clean. The shower works fine with good hot water pressure. The taxi from the hotel to Shiphol Airport was 42 euros.Next time we'll book the same hotel for sure.
Excellent location. Free Wi-Fi. Free breakfast.
Small rooms, outdated decoration, small bed, some noise from the inside. Barely standard breakfast.
Location excellent, breakfast was a really good choice and staff very helpful with any query we had
The hotel was very pleasant and the location ideal with just a 20 min walk either way for accessing all the areas of Amsterdam I required. The staff were very organised, friendly, helpful and available 24 hours. The room was clean, comfortable, fully functioning and quiet, with a street view and breakfast was a normal continental type, but as much as you liked. Also, the free Wifi was very reliable and worked well.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and although I had specifically booked a double bed, it was actually two separately sheeted single beds pushed together. I did not chase either of these up.
walking distance to the shopping area with good restaurant near by; a short taxi ride to the RAI exhibition center
bathroom too small and shower water will splash out
Very confortable beds. Large room for 3 people. Good breakfast. Quiet neighbourhood close to the museums.
Very poor sound-proofing (good thing the hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood). Could hear the Man in the next room coughing.
Outstanding location both for museums and exploring the city; very comfortable bed; good breakfast.
Wish that room had 1) shelves or drawers to make it easier to organize for multi-day stay; and 2) electric kettle. The cleaning product used had a extremely chemical (pine?) smell.
I stayed in January. Staff very friendly, quiet in hotel and street outside. Based in converted Amsterdam style houses. Very comfortable.
Nothing adverse about it. Staircases are very narrow and steep because of house design, but there is a lift,
Hospitality, localization near the most importants museums, breakfast and the confort of the room.
Everything was OK!
Helpful and friendly staff. Great location for museums and walking. Generous breakfast (cold). Very clean. Pleasant environment. Near supermarket and 197 bus from airport. I would stay again.
Mine was the smallest room in the hotel and I thought very overpriced but it was New Years. Although I am fine in small spaces this was tough. Barely enough room to turn around in bathroom. Had to put suitcase under the desk. My credit card was overcharged but management dealth with my query efficiently and reimbursed the difference. No kettle or clock. The room would benefit from some hooks, shelves and places to put things. No serious complaints.
Very nice staff, they helped me a lot. Last day, because I need to get a early plane and check out before 7, they even prepare me a special breakfast
The location allowed us to walk all over the inner city, and the museums were next door. Channal trip could be started very close to hotel. Staff very helpfull, breakfast good .
Location, staff, breakfast, wifi, near transportation, quiet,
Room was small, Bed sagged a bit.
Good location near three big museums, very quiet neiborhood and superfriendly staff. Good traffic connections and a big supermarket nearby.
A bit too little bathroom and no fridge though balcony served as such because of the season. At breakfast the was no beacon and eggs, but otherwise all was fresh and excellent.
culture in about to minutes walking. One minute walking from luxury fashion Breakfast very nice Hospitallity awesome!
Excellent location to visit major musiums and not too far from other attractions. Every one of the staff was all polite and very helpful.
No tea/coffee making facilities with an electric kettle. The floor mat placed outside the shower room gets wet and messy everytime you use the shower as the half of the shower room is open (no glass wall).
Location Price Helpful staff Clean
Location - near Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein Very comfortable beds Lovely pillows Beautiful room, very traditional decor and large space Lovely quiet hotel, dark due to thick curtains, great to sleep in
The TV was tiny and the picture was bad. We had to stay in at night due to baby, so would have liked a decent TV The carpet needed a clean It was quite expensive- not sure if good value The breakfast ended early- we went down at 10am and got dirty looks
Beds really comfortable Staff friendly and really helpful Good breakfast plenty of space to hang clothes
If you have noisy guests in the hotel, then the walls are a bit thin, but hardly the hotels fault.
Tables were slow been cleaned after guests in the breakfast room, coffee mediocre, bedrooms were Key access as opposed to swipe access. Beds and in particular the pillows were uncomfortable
The location is very good, next to key train stations(airport, train station, city centre).the downtown is just a 15 min pleasant walk away. The rooms are cozy and practical, don't expect luxus though. Very quiet area,no noise at all.Definetly to come back.
Well,I had to think a while to fill this part. I actually have no issue, maybe it was a bit expensive, as the whole city by the way.
Central location, clean room, decent view, nice staff
Room was too small. It was more an attic than a room
