The staff was helpful, the breakfast was generous, and the location works well with a tram pass. Plus there's a grocery store below the hotel so you can pick up stuff easily for picnics. |

Easy ro reach. Tram 1 from Central Station. Walking distance (5-10 min) to Leidse Plein (lots of restaurants) and to the art Museums (7-12 min.) Polite, helpful staff. OK breakfast. Inexpensive. Heavy smell of old smoke in the room. Steep stairs. Not for the walking impaired, or the weak old lady with a heavy suitcase. |

Location Thought I was getting non-smoking room, but didn't. Room was very musty/smokey. Light in shower went out last day, shower in floor below had shower curtain that stank. |

The continental breakfast was First Class. All staff were friendly and eager to help in whatever way they could. It is within walking distance of all the major sites in Amsterdam. This hotel is a great bang for the buck. The steps are very narrow :-). Other than that nothing really negative about the place. |

You can take Tram No. 1 going from Centraal Station and the stop in very close to the hotel. Easy to access to other places. |

Pretty cheap. Security was impressive. Reception guy was a bit rude. Wasn't really a hotel, more like a hostel. The picture in the room was ugly. |

Nice and clean, beds very comfortable! Limited parking spaces, and don't like the smoking policy in the rooms. |

We liked the location and the friendly staff, and it was a reasonable price (for Amsterdam). The room at the back was quiet, a good size, and had a balcony which we could sit out on with a drink in the evening. Security, whilst not a problem for us, could be an issue given the number of times we found the door giving access to the street was left unlocked without supervision. |

Friendly staff with a sense of humour. Decent breakfast, resonable rooms which were clean and well maintained. The location is very good. For the money this is a great choice. The stairs are steep but that is typical for Holland and they aren't as bad as people make out! |

For the money I paid I got the best there is I suppose. I stayed at the single room with a toilet/shower & really enjoyed it, there was a room service as well & buffet breakfast were decent (8-10am). I may stay at the same place again when visiting Amsterdam (also extremely good position of the hotel, just in front of the tram stop no.1 - straight from the Central Station, nearby to wonderful big park - Vondelpark and De Pijp quarter with lots of cheaper restaurants to go - anything else - walking distance). Recommended! Not really, no, thou I guess I was lucky, because my room had a window facing the inner courtyard not the busy street & also was on the first floor, so I didn't have to drag my luggage to much (be prepared for 'the stairs' in Amsterdam). |
