price ,but if I Knew that what will happen to me will pay double to avoid that terrible hotel !!
everything very old hotel no A/C Poor WiFi On elevators ! you reach your room while you are breathing out !! terrible stairs just like climbing a mountain will never come again
-Clean toilets, -clean beds -good breakfast -good location -value for money
-climbing up stairs with baggages is like doing an up-sailing activity -slow as a turtle wifi -no shampoo , no shower gel , no fan no ac
Back rooms with balcony were just great, nice breakfast,
Was pretty good for a budget hotel. Location was ok. Close to Leidseplein and also had a tram stop right outside the hotel. Staff was friendly.
Its a budget hotel so expectations were adjusted.
Friendly staff and conveniently located.
The beds leave a bit to be desired
For the money we paid we were really pleased with the hotel. It is very basic but nice and clean which is the main thing. Staff were really helpful and we would definitely chose hotel abba again when visiting amsterdam.
Comfy bed Clean facilities Towels provided Breakfast included Very close to tram stop Walking distance to restaurants and supermarket literally right out the door
Breakfast hours weren't long enough would appreciate until 11am, steep stairs which weren't really a problem for us but just a heads up! Other than that no other problems!
La cama ya vieja y hundida
Location was excellent! You can walk to Leidseplein and everywhere or take a tram.
Good position. Easy to go to Schipol by bus (197) and easy to go to the center just walking.
Good location, Tram right outside. Request a room at the back, it's much quieter. We had a shared bathroom which was clean and easily usable. You can smoke! Free breakfast (which I didn't try but smelt good), friendly staff. Nice balcony, and room very clean. English tv channels, and wardrobe.
Being a cheaper hotel it depends who is sharing the bathroom with you I'm guessing. Same with other guests, was quiet for first 3 days but last day was very loud at night. You must ask for a WiFi key, no hairdryer in room.
Nicely packed and located for the price!
Basic breakfast included was nice. Location was decent, next to Vondelpark, good for a run or walk. Walking in to Amsterdam centre takes time, alternatively there is a tram right outside the hotel.
VERY squeaky floorboards from the guests above us. Walls were paper thin so we could hear everyone around us. I complained to reception about noisy giggling girls at 3am and they told me to deal with it myself.
location supermarket downstairs wifi shower
noisy neighbours noisy road / tram just outside
the location is nice, close to city center on foot; the neighbourhood around is very nice, tram stop is just in front of the hotel; breakfast is adequate;
The room was on top floor, no elevator and in this case the staircases could really look like a roller coaster; a lit bit hard if you travel with heavy and large suitcases; beds are comfy although one of them was not very clean on arrival /esp. pillows/. The water pressure in the shower was low in the morning. If possible ask for a room on lower floor and it will be very nice stay as a whole
easy to reach, central, clean, friendly,
the washbasin was a bit small, the water pressure of the shower could be better in the morning
Nothing It Was good
This is a traditional older Amsterdam hotel with steep staircases and no elevator. The staff was extremely helpful getting my luggage to my room. The breakfast was excellent and room comfortable. The location (near tram in museum district) was convenient. Excellent value for the money!
Location Soft mattresses Clean towels supplied Next to supermarket Next to tram
Room not ready on arrival Breakfast poor-quality of food was poor Stairs- too many, too steep Difficult to reconnect to wifi
Staff were ok Breakfast was good Felt free to cone and go . Price was ok . Tram stop right outside
the room stank !! No not of weed , that I could have handled . Urine would be my best description . There was very nosey guests in the next room , like a three bed room and they kept me awake until 4am. Also security worried me at you shared a small low level balcony with two other rooms.
Very clean, comfortable bed, spacious room with balcony, nice view from window, working TV in room, adequate closet room for clothes, hot water
No lift, steep stairs
The staff was super friendly and thoughtful. Location is quiet (compared to the city centre) and yet pretty close to the centre. Our room was facing the indoor patio, so no traffic noise. There's also a supermarket downstairs which comes in handy.
It's an old building with really thin walls and wooden floors, so you hear every step. I had to sleep with earplugs because otherwise you weren't able to fall asleep before 3 am or keep sleeping after 7am (but I'm a light sleeper, my boyfriend had no problem with this issue). I don't know how the ventilation system works, but you could smell pot in the corridors and one day our bathroom had a strong pot smell when we arrived at our room. But hey, it's Amsterdam. That smell is all over the place.
The reviews correctly reflect the hotel quality
Room service cleaning could be better but rooms very small so it is hard for them to get to details because everything is used as a shelf!
location is ok and in front of the hotel there is a tram station and a market. breakfast was really good.
