Located in the centre of world famous Amsterdam and close to museums and the main shopping streets and markets, the Abba Hotel has been offering proper Dutch hospitality for over 20 years.

The hotel is also a few minutes walk from the large and quiet Vondel Park, where you can escape from the city.

The hotel has a relaxing lounge room with cable TV and a lovely balcony. In the summer, the windows are opened to present a light and airy atmosphere. This is a smoker-friendly environment, so you can enjoy your Amsterdam experience to the fullest.

There is a selection of over 36 comfortable and spacious rooms to suit all travellers, offering the ideal base from which to explore this wonderful city.

If you wish to explore Amsterdam and the surrounding countryside, the helpful reception staff will be more than happy to book trips and excursions for you.

Food & beverage

The hotel offers a fabulous breakfast every day from 8:00 to 10:00 with bread, crackers, orange juice, boiled eggs, sausages and much more.

Leidseplein is the perfect location where to find bars, pubs and restaurants for lunch or for dinner, and drinks in the evening.

Room information

All of the rooms have TVs, tables, chairs, mirrors, wardrobes, cupboards and some even have telephones and balconies. The beds are very comfortable and covered with duvets.

The rooms have 24 hour access and a night porter is always on call in case of emergencies. For close friends and families, we have family rooms for 4 or 5 people with 2 separate bedrooms and one adjoining shower and WC.

For guests on a budget, the hotel has standard rooms where the shower and WC are in the hallway, with a maximum of 4 rooms sharing the facilities. Alternatively, if you are after that little extra comfort and privacy, the hotel also offers rooms with private shower and WC.

Guests are allowed to smoke in the rooms, but the hotel requests that a window is left open at the same time, as the fire alarm is sensitive to smoke.

Area information

Hotel ABBA is ideally located in the very heart of Amsterdam, close to the Museum Square (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art), the Leidseplein with a huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafes and the Vondel Park, Amsterdam’s largest municipal park.
The major shopping streets (including the well-known P.C. Hooftstraat), the cinemas and the theatres are also in close vicinity.

Some other major attractions close by are the Flower Market, Anne Frank House (on the Prinsengracht), Holland Casino (in front of the Vondel Park), Concertgebouw (on the other side of the Vondel Park), Dam Square, Albert Cuyp Market and the Jordaan Area.

Important information

Amex, Visa and Euro/Master details are used to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment by cash will be made exclusively to the hotel upon arrival.

Safety deposit boxes are available at the reception free of charge. The rooms are ready from 15:00. Luggage can be left at the hotel's reception. The reception is open from 08:00 to 23:00.

All rooms are accessible by the stairs (there is no elevator).

Surprised at size of room- was large. Security deposit box is free to use, only a deposit required.

Decent walk to city centre, tram stop directly outside but is expensive. Noisy road outside, noise varied but usually copeable.
