Location, quiet rooms, helpful staff.
I have used this hotel many times as it is excellent value. It is situated close to Konings Plein which is a pleasant square It's not the Ritz but it is comfortable and very suitable for a short stay in Amsterdam
The location was perfect. Walking everywhere was possible and it was very easy to catch trams as well.
The accommodations were old and musty. Dingy carpet, dark room. Needs a major overhaul.
Great location & beds were amazing.
Breakfast buffet not readily replenished, wifi only worked in the lobby.
- Good location, in the city centre and a close walk to everywhere we visited - Friendly staff - Good facilities - Variety of tv channels
- Had some issues with the key card which meant I had to go down to the reception several times throughout the night to get into our separate bathroom. (However, I did come to find it was due to a different system used in the country where mobile phones can interfere with the key somehow)
Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast
Staircase is dangerously steep Paint peeling off the walls, wires in the bathroom Poor soundproofing
The staff were very helpful and we were able to store our luggage until we could book in. Meals were adequate. For an inner city hotel the room was ok, but It was close to restaurants etc.
There was a cafe below and the noise from that with the jazz band continued until the early hours of morning and the windows didnt shut out the sound. The carpet leading up to the room had a very bad stench, very hard on the nose.
Damp smell Impossible Stairs Dirty room Old furniture in bad condition Smelly reception
close to city center
every thing is mess
The location was good.
The cleanliness was poor. The wifi was poor. The hallways smelled like mildew. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom on our arrival. The bathroom sink was not clean.
good location, good breakfast
Orange juice at breakfast
No door/curtain on our shower meant water went everywhere and it had seeped into the carpet, which gave the room an awful smell. Neither the wifi or TV worked. We complained (which we have never done) but nothing ever came of it.
very dirty, dust, dust, dust and old banana undert bed. Very noisy old and destroyed room equipment. Garden view it is a joke. Room with kanal view is very noisy. Some customers had problem with their reservations. definitely too expensive on this standard.
Good breakfast. Personel very friendly but no actions on requested repairs of curtains and bathroom.
The high curtains were partly unhooked and let the early morning light wake us up too early. Bathroom shower needs serious maintenance (sliding door and shower head). Room was small and too warm for two people. No airco but couldn't open windows due to noise from vents outside. So all in all no good value for money (135€ per night)
We appreciated the welcome we received on arrival and the attention we received from whoever was on the desk at the time. An excellent location close to trams and opposite a canal.
A fair bit of noise from the parties behind the hotel. But it was the semi-final of the World cup which Holland lost ! It all went very quiet after th loss !
They do have better rooms on lower levels. The location is excellent, but if I booked it again I would want to be on floor 1 or 2.
The room we had was too small to be described as a double. The winding staircases (no lift) were very narrow for someone 60+
Location great. Near the Amsterdam flower market. Easy access to trams.
Hotel in need of a deep cleaning. Carpets and room dusty and shabby.
Location was fabulous and staff were very friendly
Breakfast ran out quickly
Well situated and very good value. Close to trams and overlooking the canal. We had excellent breakfast in a very clean breakfast room.
The only negative for this hotel was the stairs, hardwork getting the luggage up and down the stairs. Stairwell needs better ventilation.
Location, staff, rooms
excess to the rooms is very constraint
The location was excellent with easy access to the train station from the nearby trams. Great food options nearby, as well as bars.
The family room is on the third floor (4 flights of very thin stairs) and no elevator. Be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.
Perfect location Kind staff
Old facility Very poor breakfast without vegetable
location and staff
no lift. had to carry heavy luggages up the narrow staircase
