Location, easy to find, excellent breakfast, lovely staff.
Noise from nightclub (felt like they were in the room next door).
We loved the hotel and the apartment was comfortable.
They don't have elevator. We had to go to our apartament by ladders and it was very difficult with big bags.
location and staff
I don't understand why people keep giving negative comments about this hotel. Everything was perfect for the money we paid, the location (trams 1,2 and 5 from the central station, just drop you off the corner of the hotel) the room capacity and cleanliness, the breakfast as well.
Our room was beneath the stairs so normally we "lost" a little bit of the space between the bed and the wall, you couldn't pass through with your baggage. I am sure that not all of the rooms are like this. I think was room number 21, so choose another one..
Amsterdam is a beautiful place to visit
Hotel was not as discribed bedrooms old looking and cracks in the walls thick dust not clean had a smell in the hallway. Breakfast was only toast and boiled eggs with ham and cheese which was like rubber
Great location Comfy Bed Basic, but nice
Night club under the next building, so I could hear bass all night long until 8am!
Damp in Bathroom as no extract fan
location close to event. quality room essential and not big but very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was simple but quality. Fresh fruit :-) And amazing how minimal staff do the job efficiently. I liked the promotion price actually it should be the norm all over Amsterdam if not 5 star.
Actually nothing was to my dislike.
We stayed in a very nice triple room with a canal view. Clean and excellent location, a few metres from the flower market.
VERY FRENDLY VERY GOOD POSITION VERY NICE ROOM VERY CLEAN VERY TASTY BREAKFAST!
Great place for location and make very good breakfast with fruits sweet and savoury, clean room, 10 min walk from Leidseplein and Dam Square in front to tram stop next to supermarket. Thanks to Anuk and her collegues for kind help.
Bed was broken. Room needed a serious updating. Bitten to death from an insect or bug.
Excellent location Nice welcoming staff at reception
Extremely basic Quite expensive for the type of accomodation The door of the room moved a bit (as if someoen tried to force it in the past) and made me feel unsafe
Staff very helpful. Good breakfast and bed very comfortable. Location handy to everything. Trams very close.
Very steep stairs. No lift. Tiny shower room with sink in bedroom. Tiny TV hard to see. No tea making facilities in room.
Had valet service, but advertised parking. $32. Noisy location. Wifi terrible.
We were a bit worried when we booked this hotel but that was completely unjustified! Our room was clean and tidy, as was our bathroom. We only stayed one night but there was enough room for a big suitcase if needed without it getting in the way. We stayed on a thursdaynight in a room at the front of the hotel and had no trouble sleeping, there was hardly any noise coming from outside. The breakfast wasn't too fancy but it was good and was included in the price. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you can get a good price on it!
I liked that when I requested for a fan, the concierge got it for me without a fuss. (Considering me and my partner was eaten alive by mosquito's)
Well... for starters. Entering the place with the so called 24 hour concierge, we arrived to a empty desk , with no one insight. We waited approximately 15 minutes before a fellow customer walked past us and told us (in his words) "shitty service here mate" which didn't really lighten up our excitement. Few minutes later someone finally arrived, the woman saw us and didn't even acknowledge us. She lacked the common courtesy to even apologise for making us wait. Finally after getting our room keys we walked up the stairs to our room which was the size of approximately a jail cell. The draws where broken stains on the walls and very dim lighting. Overall rate this hotel at 4 out of 10.
Location, quiet rooms, helpful staff.
I have used this hotel many times as it is excellent value. It is situated close to Konings Plein which is a pleasant square It's not the Ritz but it is comfortable and very suitable for a short stay in Amsterdam
The location was perfect. Walking everywhere was possible and it was very easy to catch trams as well.
The accommodations were old and musty. Dingy carpet, dark room. Needs a major overhaul.
Great location & beds were amazing.
Breakfast buffet not readily replenished, wifi only worked in the lobby.
- Good location, in the city centre and a close walk to everywhere we visited - Friendly staff - Good facilities - Variety of tv channels
- Had some issues with the key card which meant I had to go down to the reception several times throughout the night to get into our separate bathroom. (However, I did come to find it was due to a different system used in the country where mobile phones can interfere with the key somehow)
Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast
Staircase is dangerously steep Paint peeling off the walls, wires in the bathroom Poor soundproofing
The location is very good
The staff were very helpful and we were able to store our luggage until we could book in. Meals were adequate. For an inner city hotel the room was ok, but It was close to restaurants etc.
There was a cafe below and the noise from that with the jazz band continued until the early hours of morning and the windows didnt shut out the sound. The carpet leading up to the room had a very bad stench, very hard on the nose.
