Excellent location. Very good size & facilities for a triple room which is often difficult to find. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely little casual bar/lounge area. The only way of controlling the temperature in the room appeared to be by opening the window..!

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious and modern. The location was fantastic, very close to Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein with the nightlife and restaurants. The shopping street is also a coouple of minutes walk. Would definitely stay again, fantastic value for money. The only thing that we can fault is the lighting in the room. There are only lamps, no big light. This wasn't a major problem but slightly annoying in the evening when trying to read etc.

Location was excellent. nice rooms considering its Europe. Staff was friendly. a bit expensive, we had to upgrade the room to King since Queen was too small for 2 people - 15euro per night for the upgrade. rooms are not sound proof. you can hear the maid in the morning cleaning other rooms. No wireless internet in rooms. only at the lobby and for extra charge. Overall not too bad but for 159euro per night, could be much better.

I found the hotel staff extremely friendly & helpful. The hotel itself is located centrally to the museum district, antiques district & a short walk from top bars & clubs. I would highly recommend this hotel to all age groups for value & style.

Very stylish boutique hotel in a great location in central Amsterdam The bedroom was not very big but clean modern and comfortable. The bed was particularly good - I got a great night's sleep. Friendly, helpful staff. The rain showed looked great with a modern, very large shower head - I thought it would be a deluge. But in fact the water pressure was just adequate. I guess thats because the room was on the fifth fllor - maybe the water pressure was stronger on the lower floors.

The interior design and structure of the lay out of hotel look. Service isnt bad. They charged me breakfast buffet but didn't notice my friend and I the time difference between weekend and weekday. The reception asked me how was my stay, i told her the problem, she gave me attitude, it was un call for.

It was right next door to the Rembrandtplein, 10 minute walk to the central station and 10 minute walk to the Leidseplein and Museum area. On the main road but the rooms were quiet, and although not massive, plenty big enough. Bed was very comfy and massive rain shower was gorgeous, bathrooms really clean and tidy. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. I was able to leave my luggage there safely when I arrived early and left late, I recommend the hotel highly.

All good apart from the comments below. A clean, modern and relaxing place, staff very friendly and helpful. On our second night we were upgraded to a suite to apologise for booking problem so this was welcome. The booking admittedly by staff at the hotel was placed on the wrong dates, we had to be relocated to another hotel on the first night of our stay which was an inconvenience. However alternative accommodation was given without delay and was only a few minutes walk away in which the hotel assisted with. That said it was a hassle we could do without as it affected our routine when changing back to the original hotel again.

The location and the decor. I was very disappointed in the Albus Hotel. They did not address my concerns until the day before I left Amsterdam and I found the hotel staff not helpful at all. I will never stay at the Albus again.

It's unusual to be pleasantly surprised by a hotel when travelling on a business budget, but the Albus is the right price (€100 - €120 per night). The staff obviously enjoy their work, which is wonderful to see, and means that even hiccups in service are no problem - manners and a sense of humour are always more important than starchy discipline. My one critisism is that breakfast is too expensive. €14.25 (with a discount!) for a buffet is steep.

The Hotel location to centre is quite good (reasonable walking distance from everything) and this hotel really made a lot of effort in the little things to make you feel welcome, ie nice bottle of proseco for a welcome drink. Hotel staff were also really nice, friendly and always willing to help. Everything else about the hotel was rather standard and there were some facilities you would expect a 4* facility to provide or have, which cost extra or simply was not available (for eg, internet service). Also the price was a little too much for the service/product we got. It was unfortunate for us that the particular weekend we were traveling in was uber expensive, but overall the average prices were a little too much for the standard of hotel we got.

Very central location within walking distance of all the major sights. Very comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom with shower and bath. Coffee machine in the room was very welcome. The room had stylish lighting but it was not really adequate for reading and you had to get out of bed to turn off the overhead light. We were on the 6th floor which was very hot but there was a fan provided.
