Located in the centre of Amsterdam, traditional Dutch houses have been converted into 2-star private studios, private or shared rooms and comfortable apartments.

Fully equipped with kitchen facilities, free wireless internet access and cosy furnishings, the apartments have everything one needs in a home away from home. Some apartments are located on the ground floor and the luxury apartments enjoy a view over the canal from their private balcony.

Conveniently located near many of the tourist attractions, beautiful Vondel Park and bustling night life, the apartments are ideal for both short and long term accommodation.

Cancellation

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.

If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.

In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and extra beds

All children under 4 years stay free of charge for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Deposit

A fixed amount of EUR 50/500 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.

Pets

Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges.

Food & beverage

Self-catering accommodation with kitchenette available for guests. There is no breakfast service. In the surrounding area you can find many supermarkets and outdoor markets at a short distance walking. Also, there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity offering breakfast, lunch or dinners, as well as take-away or delivery services.

Room information

Amsterdam Apartments Alexander's offers 3 types of accommodation:
- Private room studio for 1 or 3 persons maximum, en-suite facilities and kitchenette.
- Rooms for 1 or 2 people, with shared shower, toilet and kitchenette.
- 2 or 3 bedroom apartments, en-suite facilities and kitchenette.

Important: when booking last minute, it is possible that apartments with kitchenette are no longer available (only accommodation with private shower/ toilet). The apartments do not have a separate livingroom but there is enough space in the apartment for a seating area. Apartments are usually en-suite. If you need a separate seating area, you can book a two bedroom apartment or choose a three bedroom apartment.

On request:
terrace, ground floor accommodation, hair dryer, washing machine, bathtub, telephone, iron and ironing board.

Area information

The apartments are conveniently located within walking distance of many of the main squares, museums and shopping streets and central station is just 10 minutes away by public transport. Some of Amsterdam’s largest clubs are also in the neighbourhood.

To escape the hustle and bustle of the city life, a stroll in the Vondel Park is highly recommended. The park is also an ideal place to go jogging or skating without having to worry about dodging trams and cars.

The best way to discover this multi-cultural city is by bike or boat. You get a unique perspective of the city when seen from the water.

Important information

Please note: this is a strictly non-smoking apartment service.

Accommodation offered at several central locations in the old centre: eastern, southern and western canal area. All locations are maximum 10 minutes from the central train station by public transport.

- Payment upon arrival: cash or credit card (Visa, Euro/Mastercard, Amex).
- Payment by credit card: 4 % extra charge
- Payment by bank transfer before arrival is possible.
- Please indicate expected time of arrival at time of booking.
- Late arrival policy: EUR 25 after 21:00. EUR 25 extra every single hour after midnight (there is no 24 hour reception desk).
- Deposit: EUR 50/500 deposit per person (depending on booking).
- Rates including services: bed linens, towels.
- Please note: Silence in the house after midnight. Only one homecoming allowed after midnight.

After booking:
Please check your e-mail for a confirmation of Alexander's and check at which of the locations you have been booked. This is also the place where you will be expected to check-in. In this mail you will also find a detailed route description by public or private transport. Communicate your expected time of arrival at time of booking or at least 24 hours before arrival.

The Kitchen was handy, good location.

Bed was a fold-out, and broken. Kitchen utensils were all dirty, tiny cramped room, misleading in location as there are actually 4 different places you could end up staying, 4 of the steepest flights of stairs i have seen so far in Europe.

Apartment was nice!! But the staff put me off it!

The staff we're ignorant and rude! When we got there they didn't even hav us booked in after they already sent us our booking confirmation!

The appartment was close, but not to close to the hustle & bustle of the city. The building was freshly renovated, the place overall good, fully equiped. Also, I would like to recommend the friendly and reliable staff: we have left there a luggage with some expensive stuff and they had been very helpful to get our luggage back.

The staircase is just typical for the dutch houses - so take a big breath before you start to bring up your luggage.

The really central location and the friendly staff.

The bathroom as well as the kitchen where quite dirty. The windows did not open.

Location convenient although I would have prefered a more central one. Room was quiet.

To say the least, the place was not clean. We were four sharing the bathroom that was never cleaned!!!!

location of the hotel which is near the central area

the staircase which is so tiny you can't really bring suitcase up easily and not so good for old perple...and the tiny toilet & shower in the room you can hardly move...and i did book for 3 bedrooms apartment but it turn out to be 2 bedrooms with 1 living room that have 2 extra beds which isn't private for the 2 that had to stay in the living room...i think you should say that in the confirmation

It is difficult to get an accurate review of this place because the company have 4 different locations and I'm sure the experiences will be different at each. We paid a lot of money for very basic accomodation.
