The staff were excellent ! Friendly, prompt and just such a pleasure. The hotel was very clean and had a victorian touch to it.

Loved that it was in old, historic canal houses. Loved the decor, the bathroom, the breakfasts, the helpful staff. The location was perfect. Really loved every single thing about it! Felt so happy to have found it.

The proximity to major museums was within walking distance. The staff was professional and friendly. It was clean, the room comfortable and the food good. It was picturesqe being on the canal. The price was high but I would stay there again,

Steet noise. Every night we were awakened by something happening on the street.

This hotel is fabulous from all aspects location, atmosphere, staff, cleanness. If it happen that I will visit Amsterdam again, for sure will stay in this hotel again. I would give this hotel (5) stars.

Over priced but I think it was due to city was preparing to crown new king.

The Hotel Ambassade was a terrific place to stay. The decor is tasteful and elegant. The central location was perfect to walk to museums and other city attractions, the rooms were very pleasant with comfortable beds. The hotel was very quiet, with a peaceful ambiance. There were beautifully arranged fresh flowers in every common area, and interesting collection of art displayed throughout the hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, staff efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room for no extra charge. The bed was huge. The bathroom had just been refurbished Staff were friendly Breakfast was excellent location was great

This hotel was excellent! My room was beautiful with a view over the canal. Location could not be better - in the "9 streets" boutique shopping area and very close to Dam Square. Everything was walking distance. Staff were good - 24 hour room service a bonus for a small hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

Maid service needs a little improvement. This is only a minor criticism though.

Great location with a boutique feel to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms didn't have a kettle and tea / coffee making facilities which are nices to have in the morning or after walking around all day.

Staff was very helpful, got a double room for 130/night which is ridiculously cheap for such a hotel compared to the Amsterdam standard... + safe and Wifi free of charge, a bottle of water and some apples as a welcoming present etc. +wonderful view on the on the Singelgracht, spacious room +tram tickets, amsterdam card, etc. available at the reception

Incredible location- central but on the most beautiful, quiet canal. Room was small but perfectly formed- beautiful antique furniture and immaculate facilities. Amazing, big, comfy bed! Sounds silly but the curtains were SO good! Complete blackout meant long, relaxing nights. Being able to hire bikes from hotel. We just loved it- it was just perfect for what we were looking for. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

two small niggles- 1. Wished there was a hot tub and sauna at the koan float or at hotel. 2. Chairs in the room were a little too big- it would have been even nicer if they just went there and maybe replaced with one smaller chair, we spent most of the time assault causing over them!!!

We are a family of 5 and they accomodated us with two rooms together in the same building. The location was perfect for exploring Amsterdam and located along a canal. Breakfast was very nice and the service was excellent.

Hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel was centrally located near great restaurants and bars.

Rooms were a little on the smaller size but that is typical for Europe's older cities where space is at a premium.

I am not exaggerating... The Ambassade hotel is the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. My husband and I were there for a week and the staff were fabulous. Room service was delicious. The service staff was perfect... Our room was always clean with fresh sheets and replacement toiletries. The location was ideal, our room overlooked a canal and we could see a beautiful church down the street. Anytime I go back to Amsterdam I will stay at the Ambassade

I didn't like that I had to go home.
