The room was clean the the reception was helpful.

During the checkout the add the breakfast cost twice for one night!! So I asked them to correct it... In addition to that, this hotel is so strange as they reserve the room amount through the credit card once you book it through the booking website while it's free cancellation !!

I travel a lot for business and get really depressed when I wake up, look around in the room... And wonder a moment about which country I am. At Ambassade I woke up in a nicely decorated, large room with 3 windows just on top of the Singel canal. Just beautiful. Also loved the labyrinth to get to my room. Really Amsterdam to me. V. convenient location central, yet a bit outside of the tourists hords. The rest was up to usual standard.

1) I got used to complimentary coffee and tea with a kettle in the room as a standard - I missed it at Ambassade. 2) the cheap plastic feeling of the sheets 3) Bed is really soft - didn't hurt me but i would not recommend to people with a back condition.

Staff wasn't very helpful and front desk didn't answer phone for over an hour when I called for a wake up.call

We stayed in Room 17 which was very classy, clean and comfortable. The room faces the canal and thus very romantic and relaxing. We did not hear any noise. The hotel looked recently renovated. The cleaning personnel were very courteous. The breakfast/dining area was very luxurious, the waiters/waitress were very attentive and courteous. The reception employees were also very courteous.

A constructive criticism for the bathroom in Room 17 - it would be less messy when one takes a shower if a shower curtain could be installed from one end to another. That way, the water does not splash all over the floor. Nonetheless, the bathroom was impeccably clean, classy and beautifully designed especially with the heated flooring.

The staff was fabulous. Very helpful and cheerful, and answered all of my questions. They went out of their way to make me feel like a welcomed guest. The hotel itself is beautiful-- a collection of townhouses, with original artwork throughout the hotel. Free Wifi (thank you!), gorgeous decor, and a stunning location on the canal. I thought the value for money was excellent, and I will definitely return. Bravo to the manager and the stafff.

There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel.

It is nice cozy place situated quite close to city center. The staff is courteous and very helpful. Ambience is great, and standard of sevice is high. My room was quite nice size, nicely lighted and furnishhed. The hospital staff very easily metamorphises into make-shift guides! Supportive staff is also very very courteous. Would love to stay again if I ever visit again...

I would not complain about the narrow staircases, since they are part of architecture. The rooms lack just a coffee machine, and some stuff in bath such as comb, toothbrush, toothpaste (with Airlines so dead against LAG's, mine toothpaste was confiscated at Airport!!!). Apart from it, no complaints!

First rate amenities in the room. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional staff.
