The Ambassador City Centre Hotel offers hotel rooms. Joops hotel is around the corner of the hotel and belongs to the Ambassador. Joops Hotel offers mainly studios and apartments with a kitchenette and kitchen which makes the hotel ideal for longer stays.

The Ambassador City Centre Hotel also has a bar, called De Gouverneur (The Governor) and a restaurant called Pasta Pasta.

De Gouverneur (The Governor) bar is a popular destination for hotel guests and locals alike, where you will be able to enjoy a friendly and warm ambience, whilst having a small bite to eat or savouring, amongst others, one of the many authentic Dutch and Belgian beers available on tap.

The Pasta Pasta restaurant is a part of the Ambassador City Centre Hotel. Pasta Pasta has a traditional Italian cuisine, serving the most authentic dishes prepared with exquisite Italian products. The menu offers a variety of pastas, salads, meat and fish dishes.

Room information

All rooms at the Ambassador City Centre Hotel are non-smoking and are equipped with standard facilities including a free internet connection and a bathroom with a shower or bath.

Some of the rooms have a nice view on the Sint Bavokerk (the Big Church), but there are also rooms at the rear of the hotel where you can rest peacefully in the heart of the city.

Area information

The Ambassador City Centre Hotel is situated in the pedestrian zone of the historic centre of Haarlem. The city of Haarlem is known for its historical façades and courtyards. The Frans Hals Museum, the Corry ten Boom Museum and the Teylers Museum (the oldest museum in the country) are all at a stone’s throw from the hotel.

If shopping is your thing, Haarlem is also a great destination. Haarlem has often been voted as the best shopping city in the Netherlands and you will be able to spend as much or as little as you like in all the different shops and antique stores. The shops are a good combination with a nice lunch or a drink on one of the terraces.

Haarlem is also the perfect starting location for many different excursions: Amsterdam (where you can shop even on Sundays), the beaches of Bloemendaal, Zandvoort (beaches, circuit, casino), the flowers of the Keukenhof in Lisse (opened from March until May) and National Park De Kennemerduinen where you can hike and bike (bike rental in the close vicinity of the hotel).

It is also nice to visit the annually organised events like the flower parade, Dance Valley, Haarlem Culinair and Haarlem Jazz.

Wonderful location and friendly staff. Good size room and comfortable, large bed. Adequate amount of space for storing clothing. Clean bathroom.

I would have liked to have tea/coffee supplies with pot to make hot water in the room or if not, at least near reception for free use by guest throughout the day.

I loved its postion and our room overlooked the Church of St Bavo's. My 86 year old mother was enthralled and had never in her life stayed some-wehre like this. It was worth all the trouble at the airport getting her there. She is in a wheelchair and we found all the facilities and staff exteremley helpful

Great location, very good value for money (Euro 80 for two people). No need to book breakfast, plenty of nice places around the square where breakfast is cheaper and better!

Room had absolutely no view, but that we to be expected for that price.
