The hotel has excellent location in the ceter of the city. We had a room with canal view which was nice but other rooms positioned at the back are less atractive. Staff was friebdly. Room was big and with a lot of light. It is nice to stay in the historical building but the lobby and corridors were stuffy, narrow and difficult for the luggage. The sheets where clean but very old, even thorn. |

The privacy of our room and the desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They let us check-in early. The cleaning lady woke us up, even though we were checking out that day. |

We are a us family stationed overseas with the military, so we are familiar with European travel. It was a typical old city hotel...but what was so impressive was it was very clean with small stove, frig, and even a 110v plug on the bathroom hair-dryer assembly. Another fantastic thing was its proximity to everything. Hotel has not parking, but they had a parking service that was a little pricy...at least we thought at first. Then when we realized just how scarce the parking is in Amsterdam and the cost for parking on our own...the 30 euro per day parking seemed cheap. Recommend the parking service, but do not make the same mistake we did and forget to call an hour out from arrival. |

Helpful and hospitable staff, big room, nice and comfy beds and great location. It was a real bargain considering the low prices. Our window was facing the backyard of a restaurant which resulted in quite a lot of noise when they were emptying the trash and sorting bottles in the middle of the night. We were ok with it, but I think some people would mind. |

The location was great and within walking distance of most locations. The room I stayed in was definitely not luxurious. However, as a student, it was kind of like sleeping in a dorm room for the weekend. Although the accommodations were not the nicest, the room was clean and so was the bathroom. |

Incredible location!! Especially for early to mid 20's. Not the fanciest but why would you spend time in your hotel when you're in Amsterdam anyways... It is located near the clubs so the music at night was loud and there were people talking pretty loudly outside, if you can't sleep through some noise it's not a good hotel for you. |

Location was perfect right on the Amstel River and around the block from the Rembrandtplein. Our room was run down with broken furniture, dirty walls, torn drapery, musty odor, poor mattress, dirty glasses, noisy, the T.V. didn't work, overall feeling of uncleanliness. When we asked for an additional pillow we were told other people had already asked for it. |
