It was really near centrum, just a short walk. And the staff was really welcoming. The room was cold, the temperature felt low. But the staff was helpful and tried to do something with it. |

Good little hotel to get yuour head down for a couple of nights although I would not recommend staying here for any longer. For an extra 10-15 euros per night you can find much better upgrade with meals included. No Breakfast/Meals included |

The bed is really confortable, with a nice bathroom. The best is his localization, near of all important in th city, we can go walking from the central station. Free wifi. The view of the room!!!! It was to the backyard of a bar/restaurant, very ugly, dirty and noisy, and looked dangerous (no privacy), specially at night. We asked for a new room, but there was no more available. No refrigerator in the room. Terrible stairs to get down in the room. |

The hotel had charecter and the staff were fantastic, they made our stay very enjoyable. The steep stairs were unique and not suitable for lazy Americans but this added to the charm of the hotel |

Very nice welcome from the receptionist during check in. Very narrow and step stairs with no lift - exceedingly difficult with a large suitcase. Website stated free WiFi in the rooms however this was not working. Mini bar was empty and limited stocks available from reception. |

Not much really : Decent size room ; helpful receptionist - she deserves to be in a better hotel than this. Relations with management strained when they insisted that payment should be in advance - invoked distrust - and turned worse when they inserted a double bed instead of a twin despite special request. Decor was poor; carpet a disgrace (very worn); hotel had an aroma that was not pleasant.Entry to hotel via ugly metal staircase. |

We had a double room with an extra bed for the first two nights and an appartment for the following two nights when an extra person joined us. The staff were fantastic, giving us a map of the city and marking all the good spots to visit. The stairs to the room were fairly wide but to the apartment were very narrow and very steep which is pretty typical for Amsterdam. The room was well furnished, a little dated which fitted in with the period of the hotel, it was built in the 1600's. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The towels and sheets could do with an update as they were vbery thin and frayed in places but there was plenty of them and they did the job. The front window of the apartment faces the street and the back balcony overlooks the smoking area of the Irish pub next door which made it very noisy, however the building is so convenient for trams, boat trips and getting to all the main attractions that it makes the stay worthwhile. |

The staff were very friendly. Gave us advice on what to see in the city, called a taxi for us and even provided an umbrella for free when we had to go outside in the rain. A query regarding something in the room was dealt with immediately. |

the location is great, but not near the train station. if you are looking for a peaceful sleep, this is not the place to stay. the beds are very hard and lumpy but the rooms are a nice size for 4 people. the staff member helped us carry our luggage up the 3 flights of very small stairs..no lift and was very much appreciated. |
