Hotel Amstelzicht    

1. The hotel location is perfect for walking to various sightseeing sights and restaurants. 2. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

1. The lack of an elevator and the climbing of very steep and narrow stairs. 2. The impression that the hotel came with a paid breakfast which it does not. 3. It would be nice to be supplied with a face cloth in the bathroom.

Excellent location. Bars and restaurants just round the corner. Very quiet at night despite previous reviews. Lovely views of the canal. Steps were steep but gave the building lots of character and we found them quite fun (just don't forget something in the room as its a workout getting up them!). Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Was extremely impressed and couldn't fault it.

Nothing. Would stay here again. If you suffer from any knee injuries may be worth a miss as the stairs are steep.

My son got sick. Staff were great. Green tea? Anything you need. Go to A and H for freshest food etc. room was huge #207. Fantastic view over Amstel. Can t say enough about how great the experience was

Very nice, friendly staff and great location in heart of downtown. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice Irish pub on 5meters from Hotel with life music and fantastic beer.

The staffs in the reception were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We had asked for the room with very little noise and there was really no noise in the evening as wel.

The stairs in the hotel are really very dangerous.

Central location. Beautiful look and feel of the appartement. Staff was really gentle.

Lots of noise at night. The appartment is just above a bar with lots of music and people talking outsid. The windows are not well isolated from noise. They could have included some tea and coffee and sugar in the kitchen of the appartment. A bit expensive for the type of service we got.

It was no elevator.....govermment restrictions with old buildings. A little difficult to carry heavy luggage up the small stairs...

Loved the location of hotel amstelzicht in front of rembrant square. The hotel staff were really friendly upon arrival. It was a beautiful location, looking over the canal.

I was charged twice for the payment of the hotel, probably resulting in a bank charge and an expensive phone call to Amsterdam. When I phoned the hotel today they told me there was nothing they could do until tomorrow, so until then I have no money in my bank account. I hope this can be rectified as soon as possible since it was a large group of us who went over and therefore a large charge to my bank account.

The stay was great; super convenient location, pleasant staff, really comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again

It's a charming old building by a canal

Charming old buildings in Amsterdam are tall and thin and ofte don't have lifts. This hotel is NOT for old people.

Character of the building, location, very comfortable beds and free wifi (always a bonus). Good value, would stay there again

Thé staff was very accomodating, we were able to get our room at 11 am when usual check-in is 2 pm.

We had a blast in amsterdam our hotel was clean, friendly And felt very safe. We loved being on the canal.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The room and the hotel overall was clean and tidy. Althogh it was a bit dim, the decoration of the entrance and reservation was good.

The staff was not especially helpful. Although we were 3 women, they let us carry the luggages up and down the steep stairs and our room was in the annex building and on the 2nd floor. The boom boom-sound of the bass from the music of the irish bar next to the hotel could be disturbing but we could sleep well. For the ones who cannot sleep earplugs are provided in the room by the hotel. In the city they never accept bills more than 50€ and 100€ at the hotel due to the money counterfeiting. Change is only available in exchange offices and they get 5% commission. So the best is to bring your money in 50€ bills.

The location of the Amstelzicht is fabulously positioned for all things.tram,boat service,shops ,bar's ,cafe's ,theatre and museum also not forgetting the market's .Very relaxed place for staying all the rooms clean and comfortable,staff very helpful and friendly.Would most certainly stay there again and recommend others to do the same.

The apartment was really nice and very large. Steep, classic staircase to get to the first level apartment were we stayed. Bunk beds are between the the living room and kitchen, bedroom in the back with the big bathroom. Location was very convenient.

The first floor apartment was in the building next door to the reception area. It is directly over a very popular, and at times loud, nightclub. They did provide disposable ear plugs next to the bed!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and welcoming and good location

The noise !! windows on the street, we can hear all the cars and the people walking by, especially there is a pub beside the hotel. The noise is also in the hotel, we can hear everything upstairs with people walking and suitcases rolling. No chance to have a sleep in the morning. Stingy on coffee, soap and shampoos which we had to request all the time. Towels were not changed and left hanging on the chairs, not good for a classy hotel
