The stairs - room 34 :((
The balcony and bath. Comfortable bed. In-room Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee capsules and tea. Modern look. Superb breakfast- huge selection of food including continental and full English. Great selection of quality cheese. Helpful, attentive staff. Located by a canal making stay peaceful and relaxing with calming views.
A little far from city centre. No phone in room. Long narrow winding stairs. Lack of shops or cafes within 5mins. walking distance.
location, staff, breakfast, bed
room too cramped and finding we had been bitten by something probably in the room
-quite location -clean room -perfect breakfast (fresh and high quality options)
-very poor internet connection -no elevator and extremely small stairs (avoid second and third floor) -no king or queen bed for couples (two small beds attached together as a solution) -no room telephone -bubble bath installed, however water pressure is extremely low, cannot be used -very expensive deal compared to given room and services
Location good 10 min to Damm square. Very good breakfast! Nice view with a balcony.
No Phone in rooms, need to call reception with your phone. No bags for Laundry and your need to bring yourself at reception your laundry. Very bad wifi connection.
Beautiful building Canal views Ver handy but quiet location Beds wonderful Breakfast very good
Bathroom fittings fell apart when tried to use rain shower and bath. More lighting needed where coffee facilities were as no lighting there at all.
Everything was perfect, we stayed in room 109 which had a wonderful rear view over the canals.
Only downside was being on the third floor without a lift, however we coped. There was a problem with the wifi.
Location window view
location very good for bars and restaurants easy walk into the old town and centre
ground floor bedroom a bit noisy traffic and kitchen noise, better upstairs at the back
Wi-fi very very slow .like a tractor speed
We loved our brief stay here, the Staff were fantastic, the room had absolutely everything you could wish for and was modern, warm and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good too BUT...be aware that there is a tiny menu on the tables which features 'Hot' food (Eggs, Bacon etc..) before you go diving in to the Continental offerings. The location is quite good too being 5-10 minutes walk from the Park, Museums, Restaurants. I will be back here next year for sure.
The shower doesn't get hot enough in room 5!! The windows on the 3 walls surrounding the bed let cold air in.
The room was nicely decorated with a Hastings bed and a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast room is also very cosy with a good breakfast.
We upgraded before our arrival to a room at the back of the hotel, but although we paid Euro 40 more for this room we still had a room on the Noisy streetside of the hotel. When we asked for another room all other rooms were taken and we were not compensated. A pity, because we called at least two weeks before arrival about this upgrade.
First of all I must tell that the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was nice with variety.
The room was extremely hot . We woke up during the night in order to open the windows and take a shower. Also the bathroom is separated from the room by a transparent glass and it is not comfortable for someone to go to the toilet under these conditions The most important and inappropriate thing that I have to mention is that they blocked from our card an amount for cancellation fees even we checked in the agreed date. I was trying to contact them by email but nobody answered me . I would not recommend it .
Was at front of hotel so noisy
The staff is very helpful, willing to solve almost any problem. Big clean rooms with huge bed and a coffee machine as a pleasant bonus. Very tasty breakfasts at a small restaurant with a nice channel viewing.
The WiFi connection was very poor. Since my room windows were overlooking the street, it was a little bit noisy at daytime.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was extremely well-situated.
The bathroom is not exactly a separate room and is only separated by a glass partition - not very romantic! Some guests complained about the stairs. We didn't mind but future guests should be advised there is no elevator and they are very steep. I thought all rooms had a canal view but that was my mistake.
View overlooking canal Bathroom is luxurious Bed is very comfortable
desk for laptop tiny, nearly unusable. internet connection not very good, had to use phone with personal hotspot.
Liked everything about this place , good all round and quiet for a city center hotel
The breakfast was great. Locating was decent.
The room we were given was right on the street level with the trams passing outside, and our door opened right in front of the reception desk. The sound proofing was good enough not to hear too much though. The internet was also intermittent. As well, the router was right above our door, which gave a great signal, but shone bright blue LEDs on the bed.
This hotel was in an amazing spot, walking distance to Heineken Brewery and museums like Van Gogh and the famous I Amsterdam sign. @ minute walk from tram that takes you into the heart of the city. Breakfast was amazing! Staff was very friendly and kind, but never at the front desk when you needed them, but still nice. The bed is by far the most comfortable bed I have slept in while traveling in Europe.
Wifi was probably non existence so if you absolutely need it for buisness then don't stay here. The stairs to the rooms are crazy steep! If you have a lot of luggage or problem with your knees of even older in age I would be very cautious about this. The rooms were a bit small, but still comfortable!
it has a really plain external appearance but the rooms are really very nicely decorated. Superb bathroom facility with rain maker shower and ornate bath, separated by glass partitions from the bedroom. Free soft drinks and munchies in the mini bar too. Fairly quiet area, certainly no passing foot traffic but the usual tram and police siren noise you'll get anywhere. nice breakfast room in basement and view of rear canal. So much better experience than expected. will certainly go back.
the hotel has no lift but they do warn you [due to conservation order], so stairs are very steep and spiralled.
A lovely small hotel close to Rijiks and other museums. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and Chef makes the best pancakes! Would definitely stay here again.
The wifi connection was a bit erratic.
Staff Clean Bed Bathroom Breackfast Location
There is no way to use the toilet if you arrive before 1pm!
Comfortable room with good facilities. Occasional teas and coffee in the restaurant were given free. Splendid choice at breakfast all included in our price.
Noisy air conditioning in the night - even when switched off there was a constant rushing sound from a ceiling vent. In another room my daughter had a portable air conditioner and had to switch if off because of noise
