Central location. Friendly staff at reception. Chaotic atmosphere. Major renovation work on lobby level, the area is not cordoned off, workers go in and out, open hole in the ground without proper barricade. Loud drilling and hammering at 9am on Saturday could be heard from our room on the 4th floor. Only one restaurant in the hotel was open. Room was not made on the second day. The day we checked out, we were still in the room at 11.30am, housekeeping kept knocking every 10 mins to clean the room (although we already asked for a late checkout at 13.00) |

This hotel has an excellent Manager; the place is very well run in spite of major work, the staff were very obliging. Loved the food in the Executive suite where again the staff were so polite and helpful. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed at and we will return! It rained every day and we asked the staff to turn it off!! |

The rooms where very comfortable and clean and the transport and location where excellent. We were not aware that the hotel was undergoing renovation. If we had been we would not have booked at that time or would have expected to be offered a discount for the inconvenience. |

Hotel is being renovated. Our room had a broken window and we had to move. The new room was very noisy. Hotel staff didn't seem to be very motivated. Breakfast is very expensive. |

The location was fantastic. Very close to the city and can easily walk to all the major sites in Amsterdam (Van Gogh Museum, Heineken Factory, Anne Frank House, Red Light District). The room was very comfortable and very clean. The only thing that may have bothered guests was that the hotel was undergoing renovation. It did not bother me though. The hotel was starting to look even better! |

Location was excellent (close to museums, supermarket and restaurants). Staff was very helpful. When they couldn't find adjoining rooms they upgraded us to adjoining executive rooms at no additional charge. Concierge was very helpful. Breakfast, like most big city hotels if not included with the room was pricey. Parking was valet and priced comparable to most big cities at €30 per day. Internet was not free but was available in the room. Rooms were very clean. |

Only the location. Our booking was not in when we arrived, room was too small for the family. We ordered breakfast in the room, they delivered wrong, charged too much, and did not call us when they had doubts about our breakfast order. |

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. It was undergoing refurbishment. The hotel website should give transport directions from Central railway station. Tram nos. 1,2 and 5 stop very close to the hotel and had I have known this I would have saved the rip off 22 euro taxi fare. |

The price of the room considering the 5 star hotel rates in Amsterdam and the location of the hotel. Hotel parking was full when I arrived so I had to find a parking place besides the hotel. Chaos in the lobby because of the refurbishing. |

Helpful and friendly personel, perfect location in the heart of Amsterdam. During my stay the hotel was renovated, didn't look like a 5 star Hotel, but still ok. My keycard also demagnitezed, so i couldn't use the elevator and had to go to reception,. |

Its location on Leidseplein was perfect. The room and especially the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and modern. Bath was a bit small but it wasn't an issue as there was a shower as well. Great city view from the 10th floor. Breakfast was excellent. Staff always friendly and helpful. Trudi in the hair salon was amazing! Even if you don't your hair cut, go there just to meet Trudi. After five minutes, you feel like you've known her for years! And she's an excellent hairdresser. The only thing I can fault is that the keyboard for the internet t.v. didn't work. |

the room was very comfortable, nice and warm when it was less then 0 outside. Bathroom was well finished and clean the foyer is very dated and the consierge was rude. We booked at taxi for the morning of our checkout to go the the airport. 2 lots of people who had not booked taxi's were given taxi's by the concierge ahead of us and when we said we had booked he just said yeah yeah yeah. Very rude. In the end we were about 20 minutes late and he went up to the nearest intersection to hail a cab from the street. I told him not to bother and that we were very unhappy with his attitude and the fact that we were the only people who had ordered a taxi the previous n ight and were the only people who did not get one. I understand that it was partially the taxi company's fault but his attitude was very poor. |

Location was good. Expensive breakfast, internet and international call prices were far too expensive. Not a luxury 5 star hotel. Rooms on 2nd floor facing away from the road had had a horrible smell. Had to move to another room. |
