Location superb, near a beautiful park and perfect for the whole city The hotel could not honour our request for twin rooms blaming it on booking.com for their system, it was a dreadful start to the trip and we had little option, other than to pay for another room but to share a king size. Shame on you Marriott.

Extremely comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast selection. Drains smelt in bathroom. Two empty bottles outside my room on arrival at 9pm. Stairs should be more accessible as an alternative to using lifts.

Location is great, staff are very friendly. Rooms are nice. Parking is expensive (Euro 55) and the breakfast restaurant (executive lounge) is too small.

Comfy bed, clean room. Room should have been the same as our friends (I booked two rooms) but their room had...dressing gown, slippers, foot stool, bathroom scales, bottled water in the bathroom, ours did not.

When I booked the room I asked for a room with two beds as I was travelling with my Son, when we checked in we were told all the rooms with two beds had been allocated, We were told we could we could have a second bed put in the room for EUR15 but when we got back that night there was no second bed. Not very good for a Marriott

The location of the hotel is perfect! Midtown Grill restaurant serves amazing steaks, the best we had in Amsterdam. And the evening staff in the restaurant is very attentive, willing to help, and very professional. Housekeeping staff was very efficient in changing our pillows and bringing additional amenities. The breakfast buffet is luxurious and delicious. Delicious cocktails at the bar and very friendly staff there too. The room was outdated, and poorly cleaned. All our towels (even those hanging) were replaced with every cleaning, contradicting hotel's green key policy. The mattresses were old, and I kept rolling in to the niche formed by other people's bodies. Breakfast staff is sleepy, slow, doesn't listen well, and every morning they did something wrong: heard one omelet instead of two, brought eggs not sunny side up though I have clearly specified that. The check in went slow, unfriendly. I had a feeling that I was annoying the receptionist big time, though I had a simple prepaid reservation. The check out was better, but still far away from a 5 star, and far away from Marriott standards. On the scale from 1 to 10, where 10 is excellent and 1 is awful, check in I would rate with 3 and check out with 5. Also the bellboys, doorman and all staff at the reception area appeared to be very unfriendly.

The hotel was clean & the staff friendly & helpful. Was travelling with a toddler so rang ahead of my stay to ensure we had the right bed configuration. They also gave us a room on the quiet side (so no view) but it was quiet. The restaurant was brilliant. The breakfast set up was great, with abundant choice for a good healthy meal. Very close to the city centre which was convenient for our short w/e city break. There was nothing that I didnt like but it would have been nice if the hotel had a pool. Travelling with a toddler & with it snowing it would have been nice to have stayed indoor with & gone for a swim.

This Hotel charges 49 EURO for one nigtht parking and did not inform at the time when I booked the hotel. For this I will never come back to this place!
