This is my second stay in Amsterdam Mariott and I like their relax and clean rooms. The beds are just like a sleep trap, doesn't let you go out. They are so relax. Everything is so clean and proper. The rooms are large enough and the bathroom is nice and useful, too. I don't use the restaurants and bars at the hotel, so I can't comment on that. But the gym is really good. Everytime I stay there I spend some time at gym, too. If you are looking for comfortable and clean rooms in a silent part of the city, this is the one without throwing you out from the city center. The one and only very disturbing thing about this hotel is the harrasment by the cleaning staff. During both of my visits to this hotel I had the same problem. Even if you put the don't disturb sign, it doesn't mean anything to them. They are using a metal key or something to knock the door and that sound turns me crazy even when I'm writing this. They keep knocking the door even if you answer them with a towel around of you with wet hair. It's really horrible. I have never seen anaything like that in any other hotel. It makes you start a day in a terrible way. Another problem is that there's no wi-fi in the hotel. Nowhere, not even at the lobby. This makes the hotel very outdated.

Actually, I felt like a prisoner in this hotel. Looks like a barrack and feels like a barrack. This hotel is far from being a 5-star one. You're fined for even the smallest mistake. Haven't checked out before 12 AM? 300+ Euros fine!! Have you lit a cigarette?!! 180 Euros fine!!. One day Internet access cca 30 Euros. The ceiling is at 220 cm, at its best. The Executive Corner Room for 370 Euro per day was cold. There's no hairdryer. The free Executive Lounge made me laughing. I cannot suggest this hotel to anyone.

We chose this hotel because of location. We stayed in family room as a 3 adults, but the size of room was the best thing about our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No slippers and water in the room. No turndown service.

The staff were all really helpful and gave us a complimentry breakfast as it was my birthday. The concierge made sure that taxi's were there when we needed them and he was a really nice guy. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing. Breakfast is delicious and there is plenty to choose from. The hotel bar has a glass front and is great for evening cocktails. I would definately stay here again.

Spa was very good. Concierge very friendly. We arrived in the hotel late in the afternoon. Since bad weather conditions finally we checked in. The reception staff charged my credit card with full accommodation amount plus deposit of Euro 220 extra which at the departure has not been released. I do not know if i should call the hotel to get my money back or check it through booking.com? Since hotels block an amount of money to preauthorize should return this amount on departure.

There was nothing to like about it. Bad! Bad! Bad! Thats the best description for this hotel. Not friendly or helpful personel. Thats not 5***** Hotel - thats for sure! When we got to the room - not complete for the visitor: not cleaned bathroom, half used shampoo, gel, etc..., no bathrobes, slippers, shoe cleaning set. I have expected for such a high price to receive a good quality, but was disappointed.

The location of the Amsterdam Marriott is excellent and the room we had on the 9th floor had a fabulous view over the square. Rooms and offerings are good value for money. Best beds we have ever slept in! Would certainly use the Marriott Group again.

The Amsterdam Marriott remains perfect. Location, staff, a superb concierge who knows everything about Holland, highly functional rooms, provided with a wonderful view from the small balconies. The corridors are subtly perfumed. The Midtown Grill serves the best meat in Amsterdam and is has an extremely polite and friendly staff. Congratulations once more for the professionalism and kindness.

I liked the convenience to public transport, the location to all the attractions and the shopping right on your doorstep if that is your thing. With teenage children we were able to be away from the Red light district and fortunately did not have to explain the ladies in the windows :) This hotel offered a family room at a good rate. The outside of the hotel does not do it justice and looks rather run down masking the lovely interior. A good spruce up of the exterior will do wanders. I was put off initially by its appearance when I arrived, not what I would have expected of a 5 star hotel.
