The Staff was excellent. The Desk Manager, Manger of Guest Relations, the Concierge, and a handful of bell-hops, were all very friendly and made sure I was happy throughout my stay. This is not the norm in the highly efficient Dutch world. I sincerely appreciated this and will fondly remember my stay at this hotel. My room had some issues but I felt like it was addressed immediately and quickly and certainly to my satisfaction. It's when something goes wrong that one can tell the true character of a hotel. Again, Service and Staff were an A+. |

The best thing is the bed. It is really confortable. The location is quite good also. Finally, it is a Marriot, and everything is quite standard and good. The room was not very clean. For example I found an almond under the bed table. In addition, the bathroom is not good at all, at least mine. It didn't have a shower booth, nothing to separate the section of the shower with the resto of the bathroom. So when you took a shower, all the bathroom was wet!! In addition, the device to stop the water from running out from the sink was broken. We had to pushed it with our hands in order to warm the baby's milk in the bottle. Afterwards we couldn't take the water out, we couldn't brush our teeth, etc. |

the location of the marriot is excellent. the service was excellent as well. we appreciated that they provided us the room before the check in since we arrived prior to the check in time. online, the room is supposed to be for 4 people, however, the beds are not big enough to accomodate 4 persons wherwe the beds are abit small. other than this, everything was fine. |

The location is perfekt. The room was cosy and clean. Price for breakfast is too high - 25 Euro per person. And one thing, that I didn't like, was the hotel have charged for my credit card more that the price for one night, despite I had paid all cash. So now I'm waiting for the refund of money. |

Loved the Beds. Stayed at two other hotels in Amsterdam and they said that a double bed was an american invention. I bet Anthony and Cleopatra had a double beds. They advertized on your web site that if you stayed three day you would pay for 2 days, but, there were too match "catches" to actually get the discount. I had to go back on line to cancel the reservation and call the hotel to get a reservation and they did not have any of thoes room left. I had to do all that This is what they wanted me to do - 1. I had to find internet access at a price and then pay the cancellation fees, then pay a 100.00 cell phone bill to call the hotel at international roming fees to change my reservation and I was standing at the counter!!!!!!!!! |

Location is excellent. The concierge is very helpful and friendly. It really smells... they need to improve the plumbing. And there are no tea making facilities in a 5-star hotel - just ridiculous. But I did ask them about it, and they brought me kettle. |

well, first impression was staff unfriendly..but then others where very nice and it balanced it off, the hotel is great, very clean, food is fantastic, position is great, the executive lounge was excellent and made the rate with it included a very good value for money. asked to have my extra executive room ajoining with the suit i had and could not have it and did not feel there was much effort put into helping make it possible, which if i have had, would have made the stay much nicer. |

A short walk from the shopping area, close to trams so able to get to central Dam square by tram or walking. We were a party of 4 sharing a room with 2 large beds. Our room was perfect and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and we all would recommend staying here to our friends. Fantastic hotel would definately visit again. |

The location could not be better, Rooms were clean, quite efficient cleaners. Very small hotel despite staying in Executive room services were the same. Initial impression by a receptionist who could not find my booking and asked me to go to the internet myself and print it out. I thought it was a five star hotel, very disappointed by this. She was not friendly at all however the rest of the staff made my stay enjoyable, they were excellent. A lot of renovations going on staff at the desk could not cope with the amount of people checking out and in. I will recommend this hotel for a very short business stay not going on holiday. |

Our stay at the Marriott was pleasant. The room was nice and clean. The concierge was able to provide us with tickets for the channelbus, which stops 100m from the hotel. Parking was very unfortunate. There is a parkhouse option for Euro 30/day but that was occupied when we were there. Instead we had to park at a highly secure but very expenisve (Euro 150/day) park house next door. |

Room for 4 people is available. Well located. Room service is nice. Friendly staff. We expected 5 stars hotel, but this hotel was no more than 3 stars hotel though the price was the same as for 5 stars hotel. Not enough shampoo for 4 of us. Just one small bottle. Had to buy our own. Expected slippers, but there were not even one pair. Unfortunately there was not a teapot either. Wanted to have some warm tea at night. And breakfast is way too expensive - 25 euros. |

The location of the Amsterdam-Marriott is unsurpassed in my estimation and we have lived in Europe for over 8 years now. The doormen and Checkin personnel were very pleasant to work with. The atmosphere was elegant but comfortable and we will plan on returning here in the future. But do please see our concerns listed below. Thanks for listening. Yours Anita Laue I felt the people working there were exemplary - but we did have 2 problems arise in our stay. 1- I stepped on a piece of glass missed by the housekeeping and made it difficult to walk in a city made for walking on a short weekend stay our 1st time to Amsterdam and we did have to curtail our destinations some due to this. 2- We always enjoy coming back to the place we are staying and enjoying the comfort and availablity of a lounge (which they have). We weren't notified at booking or check-in that it would start renovation on Saturday of our stay and were extremely disappointing. Twice the hotel had given us no choice but to curtail our initial plans. Very frustrating - we did inform the ladies at checkout about the broken glass. |

I enjoyed my stay at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, I thought it was a great location as it was just a short walk from the main shopping district and there are many lovely restaurants and bars nearby. The room was well decorated and clean and the beds were very comfortable. I did not feel that this hotel was good value for money at all and there seemed to be an extra charge to do anything in the hotel - including to watch the television in the room. I also found that the room was rather small, I had booked a family room but for three adults I felt it was rather cramped. |
