Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.

The location was spot on. Everything was within walking distance and the view from the room was fantastic.
Not able to check in early and had to wait a couple of hours in the lobby. Room was ready earlier but we were not notified until had to check with counter.
Short walk to many of major tourist sites All staff and proprietor very friendly and helpful. good breakfast.
It does have many stairs but if you can get to Amsterdam you can climb stairs!!
The staff were extremely good. The food was plentiful and very fresh. Perfect location to explore the centre of Amsterdam.
nothing - stairs were steep however the staff were extremely helpful. Steep stairs are to be expected in central Amsterdam.
The view on the city is beautiful. The people passing by on the canals on their bikes are a pleasure to watch from the breakfast room. The nice shops and cafe's in the beautiful streets surrounding the hotel , make it a charming experience.
When you are very old you could desire an elevator.
Exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was new and very clean. Staff always went the 'extra mile' in addressing my questions. The location is superb...on one of the most "Dutch-like" corners, which is perfect for the antique-filled sitting room and the dining room.
Price was reasonable , location was great, staff were friendly and enjoyed my stay.
The stairs were steep to get to my room other than that everything was fine
Hotel in a great position, trams buses museums all very accessible. Breakfast good choice, available up to 11am Liked the antiques in the public rooms. Dogs homely
Could have had a better pillow but really any criticism would just be being picky. For others if you cant do stairs this hotel is not for you.
The distinctive style and decoration of the hotel; its excellent location with hotel rooms overlooking the canal.
Rather steep stairs - all part of the hotel's style, but could be a challenge to some.
Superb location and relaxed atmosphere
Wifi works everywhere Breakfast included Good Location Nice Rooms
No Elevator You need to contact with hotel before if you can't use steps
location ,comfortable surroundings , friendly/helpful staff .
All was very good. Cosiness in the heart of Amsterdam.
Stairs, as in all old houses, could be dangerous.
Great breakfast with a nice view & great staff fair price - not a complaint but the stairs can be an issue for some
Fantastic atmosphere feeling like at warm family home. Very kind and helpful personeel. I would like to come back to this hotel for a couple of days soon.
- location - free wifi
area, hotel, personel..
just.. when we need the fresh air in the room, we couldn't open the windows.. :)
very good location; quiet; friendly and helpful staff;
great view from the room
stairs! but i suppose there in many hotels in amsterdam
Pleasant staff knowledgeable and helpful. comfortable rooms
No lift and a steep climb should be mentioned in brochure. Breakfast was very basic and did not reflect what was available
The old fashion look
No fresh bred at breakfast
the reception area is nice, friendly staff
too far from city center as i walked from the train station
The location, staff, breakfast, view--all execellent. The antiques in the rooms and public areas made the hotel a delight.
The 52 stairs up to our room! But I really shouldn't complain as we knew the hotel did not have an elevator. It made us be more organized so we didn't have to climb them many times a day!
Fabulous location to explore Amsterdam and you really can walk to most places from here (or better still with a push bike rental) You can get from Centraal Station easy to it and to the shopping areas and heart of Amsterdam in no time at all.Hotel was small but the kind you expect in Amsterdam. Clean room and well maintained. Seems family run/owned with a charming old dog in the lobby which I thought was great. Also a gym is round the corner (literally) that you can pay as u use, complete with Sauna & SteamRoom (be warned no swim gear allowed ) the other end of the street there is an ATM and supermarket which is handy to know too for supplies. I found it a great amenity and no complaints from me..would stay there again
just beware the safe box in the room is only big enough for a passport/set of keys. you won't get a macbook in there. I didn't see an elevator in there either which is fine for a fit buck like me but i wouldn't fancy those 75º stairs if you had angina or a gammy leg let alone be wheelchair bound
We liked the breakfast room---it was nicely situated w/windows looking out on the street at the corner....the food and drinks were ample. We also liked sitting in the lounge area and having a cup of tea or coffee that the hotel provided.
We were told we were getting a triple room on the first level, but when we arrived, they said our room was on the 2nd level, so we had to climb 2 flights of twisty, windy, narrow, steep stairs...we felt they were treacherous. The staff very graciously, however, did carry our luggage upstairs and back downstairs. I would stay here again, but I would insist on a first level room.
