The City Hotel Amsterdam includes a complimentary breakfast and is just over a quarter mile from the Central Train Station. Its 18th-century building gives the hotel a characteristic atmosphere.

Room looking to an inner court, old mattress, and with a blanket and no duvet breakfeat doens't worth the money , not recommended.
Friendly staff, lovely setting ,homley ,perfectly placed for all the tourist attractions... Great stay
Well situated on the edge of the "nine streets, good access to all of Amsterdam tourist attractions .
Could have been improved with tea making facilities in the room , but that's a small issue . Will definitely return.
Really beautiful reception area, friendly and efficient staff. The large breakfast room is a real treat looking out onto the corner of several streets and canals, to watch the cyclists peddling past. Nice lounge area for bringing friends in for coffee or tea.
I had a basic simple room quite large, facing the rear. It was ultra quiet on this side of the building and I slept like a log! However, the bathroom had been recently refurbished and was bright and clean. Extractor fan did not run. Stairs to the third floor might be a challenge for some!
Excellent decor in the hotel, quite quirky and traditional - fantastic. Very well located, perfect to get to all the key attractions in Amsterdam, great views of the canal.
Too Silent, Comfortable Double Bed, Clean Restroom, Clean and Warm Room, Restaurant's been corner the street and so cute view in case I had superb breakfast when the city might wake up. I'm seriously I will coming back Wiechmann If I visit Amsterdam
Good location, pleasant staff, atmosphere
Tho hotel is located in the most picturesque part of a gorgeous city. It's easy walking distance to Dam Square, the Leidsplein, the Museum Quarter and all the major attractions. The staff at the hotel are always helpful and don't expect you to settle the bill as soon as you cross the threshold, unlike other hotels I could mention. The rooms are clean and tidy. You can secure your bike on the railings on the bridge opposite.
I've got no criticisms of the hotel. Have stopped there three times and will stop there again when I visit Amsterdam.
Excellent staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Great location, yet perfectly quiet at night, as was the hotel. The typical very steep stairs, but staff would have helped with the luggage if necessary.
The location is very good and close of the most attraction
Well the room was not even 10% of how the pics was looking on booking. Is very poor and the cold air from outside you can hear easily how come inside room near the window .Stuff from reception was very phlegmatic.Whatever the problem is you pay lot of money for a 2* hotel(to not say 1*).So pay attention what you choose...sure i will do next time ;)
Location Staff Room
Spent four days at the Wiechman Hotel for celebrating New Years Eve, and can nothing but speak highly of both the hotel itself, the staff, service, location etc. Location is brilliant, and having a balcony overlooking the canal really made a lasting impact. I can definitely recommend going.
All as described. Excellent
Good breakfast bar, great view along the canal
The location was awesome. It is right in the middle of everything. The room was spacious and clean. We would stay there again for sure.
Make sure to book online. We decided to stay an extra night and had to pay a higher rate.
every effort is made to make your stay comfortable. the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. the old lady Tes (the property dog) can not be ignored, everybody gives her a pat... the location is fantastic, we enjoyed our breakfast sitting by the big windows overlooking the canal view of Prinsengracht. it's pretty close to every where. Ana Franks house is on the same street, some 3 blocks away. the hotel has a friendly non commercial atmosphere.
I have very little to complain about re.The Wiechmann, its all good and a bag of chips as far as I'm concerned.I'll be back! Sorry Arnie....
Great hotel friendly staff
Staff who were very approachable Breakfast area which was in a great position to start your day watching the people go by Location is great
Rooms were a little too warm but still comfortable
Great early house overlooking the canal, with a lovely view of people passing by on their bikes. Very central location - walking distance to museum district, Dam Square, Red Light district, Anne Frank House, good restaurants, etc. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very clean, good choices for breakfast, very comfortable bed.
The stairs are steep - may be difficult for elderly people, or someone with mobility problems.
The location was spot on. Everything was within walking distance and the view from the room was fantastic.
Not able to check in early and had to wait a couple of hours in the lobby. Room was ready earlier but we were not notified until had to check with counter.
Short walk to many of major tourist sites All staff and proprietor very friendly and helpful. good breakfast.
It does have many stairs but if you can get to Amsterdam you can climb stairs!!
The staff were extremely good. The food was plentiful and very fresh. Perfect location to explore the centre of Amsterdam.
nothing - stairs were steep however the staff were extremely helpful. Steep stairs are to be expected in central Amsterdam.
The view on the city is beautiful. The people passing by on the canals on their bikes are a pleasure to watch from the breakfast room. The nice shops and cafe's in the beautiful streets surrounding the hotel , make it a charming experience.
When you are very old you could desire an elevator.
Exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was new and very clean. Staff always went the 'extra mile' in addressing my questions. The location is superb...on one of the most "Dutch-like" corners, which is perfect for the antique-filled sitting room and the dining room.
