Rebecca the host is friendly & accommodating with Check-in & out times Location is good for explorers but quite far out for visitors just wanting to be in the drinking area Steakhouse, indian, kebab shop & supermarket all underneath property Comfy bed Warm rooms Iron, fridge, kettle etc all provided by rebecca
No signage for apartments. small door with intercom next to kebab shop, Had to ask for directions Shouldn't be advertised as a B&B. This is the top floor of a residential building so should be advertised as that and not a B&B- misleading Extremely steep stairs which are fine in day for fit adults but could be very dangerous for children or drinkers
Great location short walk from central station & felt safe. Stairs are steep had no trouble up or down with 4 big suitcases. Rebecca is super lovely! Had back room not on street was quiet warm & wifi worked great! Basic cutlery plates etc kettle & microwave. We were only ones there for our 3 nights stay so we're super lucky! Thanks heaps Rebecca!
The fact we weren't let in to put our cases in from 10am until 5pm! The rude owner that shouted and screamed at us for 30 mins because of the mix up due to both Booking.com and Their B and B. Threatened to throw us out because she 'didn't need our business!" The fact she never answered her phone ever when we needed help. Being overcharged for the room that was stated 85 Euros and she charged us 125 Euros. We had no choice as we would be our on the streets. We were only there for a night and 2 days ad she had taken up our WHOLE day!!!
- The balcony - the romantic setting (magic lights) - the bathroom shared just with another room. - proximity to the center (5 min. for Dam square) -
- location: all hotspots within walking distance (20 min max) - 1600's building, very authentic. (Made us feel like we really lived there..) - host rebecca is very nice. Check out is normally from 10:00 till 12:00 o'clock. She let us stay as long as we wanted (1800!! Thank you!) - bed is comfortable - grocery store next door - good Indian food next door!(tip!)
If you have some problems health wise or with your legs you should reconsider. Due to the fact that it's an old 1600's building it has some challenging, steep and small stairways inside. (We didn't mind and thought it made our visit even more authentic)
- the host lady, Rebecca, was amazingly helpful and friendly - close to Dam sq. - a bright spacious room and a roof terrace - appart from tea & coffee facilities and a little fridge there was also an iron. For me it was a huuuge advantage - A supermarket the next door
- Stairs :) It was a lot of fun to bring the luggage upstairs and downstairs. Real challange - Shared facilities. But otherwise it would not be budget friendly I guess
Great location and the owner is lovely. Very comfortable room with everything you need
There is no sign so it's hard to find. It's directly across the street from the tram stop, above the kebab shop.
Staff are very friendly
The B&B was in a great location. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. The lady who owned the place was really nice and friendly and brought us fresh flowers for our room. Overall it was a fantastic trip.
The only negative thing was that the wifi didn't work properly as we were in the top room I don't think the signal was strong enough.
Localisation, in city center. Be in a typic house of Amsterdam. Silent bedroom. Rebecca, a very nice host. The price because it's impossible to get any hotel at the same price in this part of Amsterdam. Best place to have a good time in Amsterdam, in couple or with friends.
Stairs.. but it's normal on this type of house. But it's very lovely.
No signs to the place. The stairwell is dirty and it smells. The room was small and you could hear everything (your neighbours going to the toilet for instance). The room smelled intensely of schwarma because of the fastfood place on the ground floor (the vent is right at the level of the room). The place is too expensive for what you get.
the location was brilliant
no lift..beware ppl wd heavy loads
Polite and reliable staff. the ideal apartment for amazing value of money to feel Amsterdam
Location was just perfect. It is for people who loves to enjoy history and don't care narrow stairs :-) We liked it a lot and Rebecca is very kind person
Doors to the bathroom would need some improvement so that not whole building could hear opening and closing :-)
Was a good view
Sat around waiting 2 hours to meet Rebecca to get keys to room and then was left there whilst for a bit so wasted a day of our break, Room was very hot!! Even with a fan going the whole time we was there! Would have been nice to have a window that opens (altho this is meant to be happening next month) the stairs are a killer n dangerous but nothing can be done about that! Cooking facilities were laughable! And the floor wasn't even altho this made us laugh!!
Very noisy as in centre of town
The location (in the centre, really close to Dam square)
The room was too small with very low ceiling. You could hear every sound and it was noisy. Also the view on canals was not existed,
We and my husband had a great time an Rebecca could not do enough for us. The location was fab within walking distance to all the great areas . We did not have any problems with the shared bathroom an have to say it was very clean. An the view from our room was amazing. We will definitely return. Thanks Rebecca for your kind hospitality. Good value for money.
Nothing we were very happy
I stayed in an apartment that wasen't quite finished but was very clean and comfortable. the price was good for the location.
I was on the top floor and there were step stairs to the appartment.More signage outside so you can tell that is the B & B as it's only a door betwen shops.
As a multiple return client--I have nothing but excellent reviews for Rebecca--beautiful rooms with such ambience. Free Wi-Fi. Very clean--I could go on and on-I was truly thrilled with my stay. For such a low price--you feel like you are staying at a 4 star hotel. My stay at Rebecca's was truly memorable.
Again--I would not stay anywhere else but here. You will get a beautiful room that is spacious in a lovely old canal house. This accommodation will make your trip to Amsterdam truly special--and your host, Rebecca, is the sweetest woman--If you stay here, you will not regret it. I want to move to Amsterdam now after staying here. Rebecca will go out of her way to make your trip memorable.
This was my second time staying with Rebecca--I can say now--she is a true friend. Her place is lovely and always so clean--the views and location were perfect. I always feel like I'm from Amsterdam when I sat there. I stayed in her new room at the very top--and it was breathtaking--you could see canals on both sides of you and the Westerkerk right in front--Big beautiful windows and such a comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi is always dependable--Rebecca's place is the only place I will stay now when I visit Amsterdam. Simply Perfect!
The host is amazing, thanks Rebecca for a great week-end!
Bathroom is shared and was not mentioned in the description. No reception. Uncomfortable.
