Anne's Room  

Excellent location, wonderful hosts (special thanks to them for their help and hospitality!), not really a hotel but more of an apartment. Free wi-fi everywhere. A bit pricey but it's a common thing with Amsterdam hotels so in this case you get more than enough for the price. Would love to stay here again.

Since it's more an apartment than a hotel you won't find soap, shower gel or shampoo so take care to bring your own. But that's not really a problem.

Good Location, Nice staff, kitchen facilities awsome, Great patio for smokers, Very comfortable bed.

This is not a hotel ,and the studio at the 1st floor, it's a small building with people live in! So expect that you will wake up every morning around 6 am really loud noise!, No one come in to clean or take garbage or change bed sheets or towels so take yours, We didn't have hot water for 24 hours during the freezing weather til they fixed it, when owner came to fix she told me that me and my friend are not orignized people due to a party we had the night before (totaly rude) The lights didn't work in the bathroom at the last day of staying, Got tired of calling the landlord and complain,VERY big 2 chairs in the middle of the small Studio!!

The lociation is perfect, the kitchenette worked well, the hostess was very friendly and accomodating.

It would be nice if Anne's Room had it's own homepage, instead of just pictures on various hotelsites. Also a bigger coffemaker and a more cutlery and glasses would be a bonus.

I'm not a fan of housekeeping personnel waking me up in the morning demanding access to my room so that they can clean it. I actually prefer to keep it tidy by myself and request a change of sheets or towels when I need them. Anne's Room is a small, single room apartment with just about everything you need for a day to a week. The kitchenette is stocked with utensils and cooking tools. There is a four burner countertop gas cooktop, a small refrigerator, private bathroom (fairly small hot water heater though), double bed, and a very effective heating unit. Don't know anything about the a/C.

Only one thing ... well actually two, but they're related. An iron and an ironing board. Oops. Two things. An elevator. The room that I stayed in was on the third floor. On the plus side, I got a workout going up and down the stairs.

It had a small kitchen with fridge. It was right near the Dam.

It said it had breakfast included and it didn'T. The bed belonged in the trash!! This is minor but in the kitchen there was only one mug. Attention to detail is not evident.

The hotel is definitively a good choice: in Amsterdam's city center, quiet and lovely in spite it does not seem a real hotel.

It is close to the touristic centrum of amsterdam

It is expensive relative to the accomodations that it offers. In booking .com states that there is free parking in the neighbourghood of the hotel which is not the case. For a lower price I got this summer a room in the centrum of viena in a 4 star hotel.

It was small but cute and perfect for a young couple. It had everything we needed and the location was fab! Close to anywhere and everywhere. I would say it has an aquired taste of decor, however it's nothing bad. Next time I stay in Amsterdam I will stay there again. A home away from home. And at a reasonable price.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. Although, the DVD player needs replacing.

Visited 24-27 March 2011. A charming and discreet place located right in the centre of the old town. I will definitely come back to stay here.

great location and not too expensive for amsterdam. the was quite clean, even though it was dusty aswell, ex. under the bed

i saw the owner just once, when we arrived. there is no reception, so no one there to ask some questions, it is not like a hotel, more a room in a house, where other people live. aswell there came anybody to change the towels or make the bed, or something like that. i would still recomend it, because for the money we paid it was ok.

Room was a good size for 2 people. Cooking area, fridge, and sink were all very useful. Bathroom and bedroom were a good size, clean, and modern. Staff allowed us to check in very late and pay cash on arrival. Shower had great water pressure and was large. We had shampoo and soap in the bathroom to use. Will stay there again.

No hook for a towel in the bathroom. Lots of stairs to the room - was fine for us, but if you have trouble walking it would not be ideal.
