The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are old and in need of refurbishment. For a 4 star hotel it is a little disappointing. |

There were more breakfast possibilities. Besides the hotel breakfast there was a small breakfast on the bar's menu. We booked a standard room, and they put us in a patio room opposite to the heating room which was a bit loud. |

The hotel was very nice, the design was elegant, the room was so comfortable and quite big for Amsterdam standards. The staff were very helpful and friendly. An additional perk was the complimentary water bottles in the lobby for the guests, what a nice touch!! The only downside was the location relative to any nightlife. We were going to an event at RAI, so that was very close, but there were no choices around the hotel, within easy walking distance, for dining or having a drink. |

Comfortable room, reasonable space. Food expensive. €22 for a self service "average" breakfast - outrageous.Bar service was poor. Surly staff. |

Rooms with canal views were exceptionelly confortable and a stress relief with the beauty offered from the window view. The hotel is very clean and staff members (front desk, hotel bar or restaurant) were friendly and welcoming. What I liked the most about the hotel is the quietness, you leave from the hotel relaxed and resourced. What I can suggest for the hotel and of course it is optionel is to have a safe box in the room. Unfortunately there was none. |

We came a bit early in the first day to the hotel (at 12:00). Our room was not ready yet, but the hotel staff found an empty executive room for us and let us stay there for all the time, without extra payment. At the night of new year (01/01/10) one of the hotel buildings held a disco party with very a loud bass sounds. Which was affecting half of the hotel (the side of the main building that was facing the disco) till 05 in the morning. |

Staff, service was impeccable and very knowledgeable. However this is not not close to downtown if thats where you would like to be. It is near by the museum district. The location of this Hotel was in Apollolan which is ~ 30 minutes via local tram to get to. To walk- very lengthy walk and not feasible of shopping or with kids from downtown.. Also the Hotel was a very modern in design and comfort- but the fine details were lacking- rundown room- carpet had holes in it, bed appeared neat- however there appeared to be dirt underneath the comforter and noticed that the room was a bit shabby and some of the lamps in the room were unplugged and not available to use unless you manually decide for more light' |
