Apple Inn Hotel  

The location was good for the main art galleries and the Vondel Park which allows traffic free access to the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast was adequate although somewhat limited in choice with no hot food available except toast and hard boiled eggs. The room was located at the back of the hotel and was quiet, outside the front of the hotel was a tram route and quite a busy road.

On arrival, having booked a twin bedded room the receptionist informed us we had been given a large room. This 'large' room had 4 single beds and a fold up bed, one chair, a single wardrobe, no writing facilities, one bedside table which could not be placed between any of the beds and another which had a small portable tv on it and a wet room. We asked if the sofa bed could be removed and was told this was not possible so we had to move it ourselves and place it on one of the spare beds. The general decoration in the room was in less than perfect condition with chipped paint and curtains wich did not completely cover the windows at night. Whilst the location was good we felt this was more a backpackers hostel than a hotel.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were polite and very helpful. Reasonable price for a fantastic location, 2 minutes from vondelpark.

Breakfast was a little uninspiring, would have been nice to have some pastries. However good range of cereal and bread for toast etc, there was meat but we are vegetarian.

Only location

Hotel wasn't good enough. Heating wasn't working properly. Moreover stuff girl charged me extra 2% for paying card, not cash.

Great location and helpful staff

As mentioned by others, the hotel is tired and could do with a redecoration. However, considering the price and location, you cannot grumble too much

Bathroom standard was poor with odours from the sewage drain and a vent that was not working.

Parking was a bit difficult

The bed was really comfortable, we had door out to the garden and it was in a great location - meant we got to walk through the park into town everyday

Was a little bit noisy at night when people came back to the hotel but our room was beneath the main stairs so no wonder..not that much of a problem though as the bed was so comfy it made up for it!

Si trova in una zona tranquilla ma ben collegata con il centro più trafficato . poi si trova vicino ad uno dei parchi più grandi e belli di Amsterdam . ottimo pre una famiglia

I materassi erano troppo morbidi.

Ottima posizione, fuori dal centro ma ben collegato (tram 2).

Le scale ripide e strette! Si paga in anticipo e c'è una commissione del 2% per pagare con la carta.

La posizione dell'albergo che a piedi permetteva di raggiungere più zone, e lo staff cordiale ed efficiente; l'accoglienza dunque oltre ad essere molto confortevole.

La macchinetta del Nespresso

Finestre sporche, tende sporche, bagno con un odore pestilenziale e ventola di aspirazione che buttava direttamente... Nella tromba delle scale. Lavori di rappezzamento di una struttura ormai obsoleta fatti alla meno peggio(Schiuma isolante sparsa sulla moquette, sulle tende e sulla tapezzeria). Staff(La signorina ispanica soprattutto) scorbutico e maleducato. La zona è servita solo dal tram n°2 che nei we passa ogni mezz'ora circa. Diciamo che complessivamente è meglio un campeggio!
