Hotel Arcen    

- Location is very central on the village - good restaurant

- There is a night club right below the hotel, without no noise isolation. This means you cannot sleep before 4am! - old bedroom and facilities - breakfast is very poor

A quiet, spacious and clean room, located nicely in a lovely village.

The room needed another lamp. The only place I could read at night was in bed. I stayed here last year, when the breakfast was better and the price a bit lower.

Stuff was great, the room lovely, and the "smart deal" we got from Booking.com was unbeatable! I hope to return to Arcen hotel

Hotel located in the center of the pretty town. It is very comfortable. There are many restoraunts nearby.

You could hear all your neighbors, all night.

The hotel was spotlessly clean with nice size rooms, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the restaurant food and menu was excellent. The location could not be better, right in the centre of the village, a very pretty place. We will definitely be going back for a longer stay.

Large sized family room and allowing us to book in 4 hours early and book out late. Also allowed us to keep our luggage in another room before we caught our taxi to the Airport. Great quality breakfast with real orange juice and filtered coffee. Excellent quality food in the hotel restaurant in the evening. They booked our taxi for our return to the Airport.

Charges for cancellation if less than two days.

We have seen the hotel on our many trips to Arcen as it is opposite the ice cream palour! So hence our decision to stay at the hotel. Very polite and courteous staff and good breakfast selection. Free hotel parking was good and behind the hotel. All in all a good stay at the hotel.

The rooms are a little tired and being on the main square is a little noisey but that was managed. We stayed on the hottest weekend yet and luckily we had a fan in the room, our friends did not. The hot water is hot and we felt it should have had a warning sign, especially for kids! No lift but they did put us at the top of the stairs, we have a disabled member of the party. This was not made clear in the booking area of the website.

Staff were friendly always smiling. food was good and plentiful. Room cleanliness was very good.

No real private relaxation area eg. lounge. ? because emphasis is 'el fresco' approach. Tendency for staff to spend time clearing and preparing for next day's clientelle when guests were still dining and having to wait to order or receive their next course, for excessive periods eg 15minutes +

The room was comfortable and clean, the location was excellent. We slept downstairs and the children slept upstairs, the bathroom was also upstairs. We went to Floriade which was a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The castle was 2 mins away, nice restaurants locally. Make sure you try the ice cream cafe, Clevers, just across the road next to the river. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on that, but we did have dinner there one evening and it was very nice.

Could be a problem for some people that the walls are quite thin, but we certainly have no complaints about our stay at Hotel Arcen.

The hotel is located in the centre of a lovely village, within 50m of the river Maas. Very good breakfast and good choice of alternate dining due to the central location. Staff were welcoming. Great position for visiting Floriade 2012.

We chose Hotel Arcen as being close by for Floriade Garden Festival. Hotel in pleasant location with good bus service to the main town of Venlo if you are visiting the Garden Festival. Many pleasant restaurants in Arcen

Coffee machine in bar shut at 10 pm and unable to put drinks on hotel bill after 10 pm due to computer "shutdown". No coffee/tea facilites in room. Available in corridor at extra cost. Hotel adequate for a short stay

We had a lovely stay at hotel Arcen, situated in a charming little village next to the river Maas. It was easy to visit the Floriade from here by bus, along a scenic route through the countryside to Venlo and from there you can take the shuttle bus to the Floriade. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a great little bakery just over the road for an early morning breakfast and a variety of freshly baked cakes and rolls

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with the necessary requirements to make your own coffee or tea, instead of the dispensing machine where you had to pay for a cup of late night coffee

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the hotel. Upon driving up, someone met us there to tell us where to park and offer to help with bags. The receptionist was very friendly and informative. The hotel room (familiekamer) was more than adequate for grandpa, grandma, mom, a 5 year old, and a baby. The hotel sits in a charming town with beautiful views. We weren't far from Venlo. I'm happy with my experience there.

Unfortunately it's quite easy to hear the neighbors. Sometimes I could hear the T.V./telephone conversations from the room next door.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Arcen is a beautiful town and the hotel is located in the center with a lovely square that has outdoor seating and great food. The staff was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable.

Nette en ruime kamer.

De bovenste verdieping hebben geen nooduitgang. Er is maar 1 trappenhuis dat toegang biedt tot de kamers op die verdieping. Ontbijtbuffet was slecht georganiseerd (geen borden, servetten waren op, geen vorken). Kamers op bovenverdieping zijn gehorig. Kamers aan de voorkant (dorpsplein) hebben veel overlast van de terrassen (hotel en café) direct onder die kamers.

Sehr geräumiges Familienzimmer ( über 2 Etagen). Zu anderen Ausflugzielen nicht weit entfernt. Sehr freundliches Personal mit sehr guten Verständigungsmöglichkeiten.
