We liked all of the hotel, from arriving at reception we were treated perfectly. Our rooms were lovely, clean and very modern. The bathroom was great, the two televisions were an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and the food on offer was lovely. We loved the variety and the staff who served us were very polite, helpful and interestting. Saturday was busy in the hotel with a wedding and hen party but we were still served quickly and did not have to wait long. In fact the hotel was buzzing and the atmosphere was great. Overall a great weekend and we would reccomend the Arena Hotel to anybody. I am sure they would feel the same as us. Thanks to the Arena for a great stay!!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got a free upgrade which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive without being intrusive. A great break and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Location to far from city centre

The hotel is so unusual, all the rooms are decorated differently and very stylish. Our room was decorated on a white theme, very classy. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Very luxurious. We didn´t eat in the hotel so can´t comment on the food, but the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Apparently it used to be an orphanage, a huge old building turned into a stylish, modern hotel.

The hotel was just a bit too far out of town, although the tram and Metro are both within 5 minutes walk, it would have been better for us if it was in the centre but don´t let that put you off, it costs 7.50 euros each for a 24 hour travel pass. It is still worth the travelling to stay in this beautiful hotel.

The reception desk staff was very helpfull and the design of the hotel was very interesting. It was a comfortable stay.

They basically didn't clean our room instead they just made the beds.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was our first time in Amsterdam and we've been gratefully impressed with the quality of the Hotel Arena. The staff was really attentive and helpful with any information we needed. They provide us with restaurant recommendations and we also rent bikes from the Hotel. The room was perfect, bright, with canal views, high ceilings, and very clean. The design of the hotel and rooms is quite simple and minimalist but very warm and cosy. They also have a nice restaurant/bar near the lobby where you can enjoy quietly some food and drinks. Guestlist for the Club too.

We only missed the bathrobes and sleepers.... ;)

This is the second time my girlfriend and I stayed at Arena. We love it: the design is cool, the rooms are comfy, and for the price range much more luxurious than any of the hotels we've tried in Amsterdam (and we've tried a few). For some reason it's rare to have a minibar in hotels in Amsterdam. Not here. The bathrooms are sleek, with massive shower heads. The beds are big and comfy. The furniture is good quality (lots of marble) and non-kitschy. The staffers are very nice and helpful.
