The hotel room was very dirty, especially towels smells badly. The Approach of Armada Hotel for customers was just earn money. The hotel prices are very much for the services... |

Good price for a city centre hotel. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Plenty to eat at breakfast and the staff were helpfull. Some of the negative views are a bit harsh for what you are paying. We have paid a lot more for a named hotel which was not as good as this one. |

The location of the hotel is great. Close to the city centre, not on the touristic routs. It takes only 15 min by walk to get to Museum square. The view from the window is very nice - over the canal. The staff on the reception was very helpful. Only one disadvantage, but it concerns more the city than the hotel - quite difficult to find the parking place. If you are lucky to find one, then it is very expensive - 5 Euro/hour. It is easier to leave the car on P+R parking (e.g. Olimpic stadium) and come to the hotel by tram - the access is very comfortable. Everything was according to the price. |

The room was perfectly fine for the cheap price we paid. We'd heard a lot of reviews and none too favourable but what were people expecting for less than 30 Euros per night in the centre of Amsterdam?! It was clean and convenient. The staff were nice and breakfast was lovely and filling. The hairdryer didn't work but they gave us another (some staff very helpful). The shower head was leaking and water went a bit over the whole bathroom but luckily we survived it! |

The location great! Very close to Rembrantsplein and the city is very compact so we walked around the city all the time, we didnt need taxi (except in the night when we were wearing heals!) The staff were friendly and took good care of us, smiling and helpful! The breakfast was not in excellent condition. The cheese could for example be more fresh. |

If you are prepared to get only elementary service there are not hidden surprises. Hotel is on good location and clean. Stuff is very polite. That's all. Hotel is good if you are interested to visit the city and you use the hotel only because you need to sleep, change your clothes and wash yourself from time to time. Breakfast is edible. Maintenance is very very poor. Holes in the towels and covers do not leave a good impression. It's better not to verify the conditions of the mattresses and pillows under the linen. Pretty bad solution in the bathroom (less than two square meters). Once you make a shower everything is under watter and is difficult to use the toilet afterwards for example. It is really necessary to make a good strategy on the bathroom usage :) |

Proximity to main area of City Next door to a Bar that was frequented until the early hours by customers, who were largely outside on the canalfront as the weather was excellent. The hotel had been partly updated but there was still quite a bit of work needed. |

We were given a room in the building next to the main one, and it was nice and quiet, with a view of a small garden. The breakfast was simple, but fine. The hotel is indeed close to everything (30 min. walk max), and the canal is pretty. Some aspects of our stay were less pleasant, but we were on a budget, and overall, the hotel was good for the price we paid. There was no elevator in our building, so my friend and I had to drag our luggage upstairs and downstairs with no help - not fun... The rooms looked old and a bit worn, especially the bathroom - there was some mould on the shower curtain, and a few of the towels actually had holes in them! |

Showers in the room have great pressure... Beds are not plush, but they aren't board-stiff either... Perfect if you just need a place to go home and sleep for a few nights at a reasonable price... Vending machine with soda, water, and heineken beers... Breakfast of cold cuts and select breads/muffins/coffee/juice in the morning was a great way to wake up... Staff speaks many languages and is very helpful with maps and getting around... Restaurants, pedestrian shopping centers, Rembrandt Museum, coffee shops, and canals are all within easy walking distance... It does get hot in the upstairs rooms, but if you leave the window and door open for 5 minutes, that changes quickly... Leave the window open at night if you're on the upper floors... But in summer months, it may not be so easy... Late september was perfect... |

Location It is located next to a bar that was open until 2 am. Very expensive hotel considering the facilities. Rooms were also really small. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. |

Excellent situation, central and quiet. The double room was very small. The single room was large but had a very strong tobacco smell and there was no hot water when I arrived. |

I quite liked the way that it was situated next to a canal - not that we had a view of it! We had to pay before even seeing our room. We had to lug our considerable amount of luggage up 3 flights of stairs - there was no offer of any help and the lift was out of order for the duration of our stay. There was no offer to repair the lift. The breakfast was bland. |

nice location along a canal. Rembrandtplein, tram stops, restaurants & pubs are not far away. You need about 15 min to walk to Dam square. Free wifi access. The room for 6 persons is globally ok for a group of friends, but not comfortable enough for a family. There are 6 single beds whose mattress needs to be changed. In the bathroom the shower looks like a shower of public swimming pool (i.e. without a base). No curtain to separate the shower from other elements of the bathroom (toilet,...). Painting on the walls needs to be refreshed. |

Good water pressure in showers; you get what you pay for; good budget place; walking distance from tourist attraction and train station don't expect luxury; very very very basic |
