Nothing at all. Room in the attic above 4th floor (€159/night), dirty filthy beds and blankets, towels with holes(won't even use these for my dog), dirty carpet, dangerous toilet/bath with slippery floor, terrible breakfast, staff are bunch of liars including the owner, they are there for your money, won't give your money back if they have overcharged you. Stay away!!!!!!!! Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. To start off, only 30% rooms have canal views. The management lies, cheated us and charged us for 3 nights when we stayed for 2. On your website we saw a large room but we got room in attic where you can't even stand straight. Towels had holes to fit a childs head, dirty & most uncomfortable rooms ever, worst than a hostel or sheltered accomodation. If you are stuck, sleep in your car but don't book this hotel.

Excellent location. Most of the rooms have a view to Keizersgracht channel. The room is so small you can't even turn around. Bathroom, in fact an improvisation, is minuscule and lacking a shower bathtub you risk to inundate everything. The elevator is silly slow when not out of order. Breakfast is modest in choice but tolerably. This situation is still understandable as the building is centuries old, however too high priced.

the location of the hotel and the facade were the most endearing features of this hotel Breakfast was reasonable. Beds were comfortable. The decor is very tired and the hotel could do with refurbishing. My room which was a double was small whereas a single room which Ihad also booked was much larger and had much better facilities. However it was in the annexe next door and our companion, a single lady felt very vulnerable there.

When all need is a place to rest your head from a night out on the town, this place is for you. Clean and comfortable bed, great light breakfast and great location. We will gladly say here again!

The only things that have been quite good at the Armada Hotel are breakfast and location The hotel was dirty, the room was tidy-up in a very superficial way, the sheets and the towels had got lots of holes. We payed a lot of money for a triple room that was tiny and dirty. The chinese men (the old one and the young one) were really rude.

Price was good at £50 per night including breakfast for 2people, Lady on reception was welcoming, helpful, and found us a room a few hours earlier than check-in to save us carrying luggage everywhere. We were a bit dubious as to what it was going to be like having read some of the reviews, but options were limited as we left it late. The room was small, but comfortable enough, shower room very clean and obviously recently refurbed. It was also a nice change to go abroad having booked a non-smoking room, and to get a room that did not smell of smoke in any way. Breakfast was basic, tea, coffee, juice, cereal, ham, cheese, eggs, but being buffett style meant you could fill nicely up for a day exploring. No Tea/Coffee facility in room. Rooms elsewhere in the hotel were being refurb'd so there were workmen and noise from 9am, but wasn't a problem for us as we were up for breakfast and out of the door shortly after. The lobby/reception/stairs were dated and in need of a bit of a spruce up, but and the end of the day it was somewhere to lay our head that was perfectly adequate.

- good location - clean bed linen and carpets - acceptable breakfast for a hostel - avoid ground floor rooms - is very noisy and you can hear all discussions between receptionist and guests - walls spilled with beer - very small bathroom (improvised one i would say) - definitely not a 3 star hotel

1. Location of the hotel is really good. All main places of interest are located not far from the hotel. 2. Hotel staff is friendly and friendly Hotel was renovated a long time ago. Rooms are not very comfortable, but tidy enough - I don't think this is a fair argument (room condition is not something I didn't like, more likely something I expected from 2 stars hotel). Bottom line: hotel is 100 percent worth paid money!

I booked last minute for a New Years weekend, and it was one of the few centrally located hotels available. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast, though not lavish, provided an array of good quality cereals, cold cuts, eggs, very nice bread, fruits and fruit juices. There was a machine that dispensed various hot drinks. I'm picky about my coffee so did not use it. I just went out to a cafe later in the morning instead. When I came back to get my luggage later in the day after checking out the maids found my watch and gave it to the reception, who then gave it back to me. I have never had any other hotel take that trouble when I have forgotten items in a room in the past. I consider that exceptional service. Some idiotic previous guest who presumably didn't like his/her stay scratched a rather illiterate message expressing his/her unhappiness over the light swiches. They really should paint that over asap. A shower curtain in the bathroom would have been nice, but it was clean, spacious and otherwise convenient. I've noticed some other reviewers complaining about their experiences, but the hotel is clearly listed as 2 stars. Yes the furniture was rather worn, and the walls could do with a paint job, but the view from my window onto a back garden was lovely. If you want a newly furnished plush hotel room you have to pay for it. This hotel is very good for what it is. The location is great.

It is relatively near to every important location in Amsterdam. Also, it is quiet. It was not apparent at the time of booking that in case of paying with a bank card, there is 3% extra charge.

The room was okay. It was very small and the decor was very old looking. However, the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent. The lift appears to break a lot but, if you are willing to walk the stairs, the view of the canal and city is great from the top floors. Our family would stay here again if we ever go back to amsterdam.

Nicely situated. Thats all. The guy checking us in, was rude telling us off through the grapewine , that we very late, well in fairness finding that kip, was nt easy at 2.30h in the morning driving. He placed us in the basement, well ....ck that we sort . it said canal view hotel, I did nt want people urinating at night on me window. After moaning he got us a a better room 2cnd floor, but the state of these nonsmoker room was gruesome abucket of paint and 5 h would make such a difference. Greatly located, the breakfast cheap an cheerfull 7 - 10 am a bit boring 11h would be better. As I tried to extend me day 4 a third night, they was gonna charge me 90Euros telling me its the weekendprice. Bloody cheekey and booooorrinng buisness manners. Stayed in the vlando hotel for 80EUros than , but the standard 2 stars higher lovly, glad I left that kipp

Nice location, at the prestigious Keizersgracht (no canal view in the room though). I had a big room, but it was poorly furnished. Name anything, and it was broken: lights, tv remote control, even the heating didn't work properly (end of November!).

Fake photos of the rooms! Poor facilities! E.G. I booked a room with tv, but there was no cable and remote control for the tv!!! So no tv! The price definitely does not reflect the facilities!

Location... Room accommodated three adults... Breakfast was fine and the bathroom was clean. The bedroom walls were dirty and stained and in desperate need of cleaning and a coat of paint. Bed spreads were not clean. The value for money was not acceptable. The room was excessively overpriced for it's condition. Windows were dirty and cracked and the room was very noisy from other guests and the street below. I would never stay there again.
