Hotel Was In Good Location and was easy to locate once we arrived in the museum district!
nice staff great location
tiny tiny room on a interior shaft bathroom flooded no hooks in bathroom only 2 plugs had to ask for glasses, worn out sheets, poorlu made beds stained furniture
Price. Small bedroom. Shared bathroom. No view from the sloping ceiling velux window.
The location and the offer to keep the bags after checkout since checkout is at 11Am so we were able to get breakfast and adventure before getting the car, very very convenient.
The room smelled when we entered, but once the windows were open for a bit it went away. The carpet was a bit dirty and the bathroom as well. But for convenience of location, and it is a bed and bathroom, this hotel is recommended.
very poor internet. in all areas.
Only WiFi and location
Although we asked for several times they didn't clean the toilet and bathroom at all. Even the white curtains were brown at the bottom.
bed was nice to sleep at night
not very clean. room smelt of damp
The beds are comfortable, Not far from the center.
The smell of the bathrooms n haven't to move rooms
The beds were very soft and uncomfort
Location View from my room Calm, but I was on the last floor
The stairs No breakfast No wi-fi on the rooms The shower
Nice staff Great location
Initial room was mouldy- but we were given another room which was perfect.
The location was great. It was only a few minutes walk away from the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum and the Stedilijk museum.
Wifi did not work in room. There was a smell of vomit in the hallway for all of my stay there. The room was very small with mould on the ceiling. It was hard to keep the windows open. The safe did not work. It was also very over priced.
The location was good. It's near to places you wanna visit. I never had a hard time going to the tourist spots. The view of Rijksmuseum from my window was great. Walking distance to Van Gogh Museum, Diamond Museum, Bloemenmarkt, and Begijnhof. The people were helpful and friendly when you need their assistance and further information.
The one I had was a single room with a shared bathroom and that was a bit of hassle because the loo was way across the hallway. I didn't feel comfortable having a shower and imagine walking down the hallway on your bath robe. The price was fair but the cleanliness needs more improvement. When I got in the room which was about past 2 pm, I had no mattress cover, duvet cover, pillows and pillow covers that I needed to ask from the cleaner and the reception for them. The wifi in my room was very bad. I never had a good connection during my stay but the reception area got a better signal. It's hassle thought to go down jus to get a grasp of the wifi.
Location was perfect, staff was helpful and friendly! The stairs were a challenge with luggage but otherwise fine. The wi-fi in the room didn't work barely ever and that was really frustrating. But I would stay there again regardless. Thanks for the good experience :)
We've stayed here only for one night; the location is really good, close to main touristic attractions, just across the rijksmuseum; the staff is ok;
the room is quite small (we had a double twin room with shared bathroom); even though the room was not clean when we arrived, afterwards they cleaned it up, but a disturbing old-stuffy smell was still there; the shared facilities (there is like a mini-kitchen on the floor, a toilet room and a shower room) didn't seem so clean. The stairs are insanely steep.
Room is very small, not very clean, and there were some machines making noise all night long. Internet was not working, and they charge you extra 2% fee if you don't pay in cash (which was not stated in booking)
the position: is very central the staff is super nice and helpful
don't trust the pictures you see on booking.com: it's totally different. Tiny rooms (I've been in two rooms) almost no space for the bags ..not very clean, it seems more an hostel than an hotel, instead the price is very high! Steep stairs and no elevator For 100 euros per night I'd expect much more!!
Location next to major museums.
No A/C Old fixtures throughout. No elevator. Spiral stairs were so tight it was difficult to move luggage, especially for Seniors.
Looked like a decent hotel, moved us to a nicer hotel seemingly.
We had booked this hotel and upon arriving they informed us they had overbooked and couldn't give us a room, they didn't even get in contact before our arrival to inform us of this it almost left us without a place to stay for 2 nights in a city we had never been to before and had no clue where anywhere else was. they did arrange for us to go to another hotel but we had to WALK to another district 20 minutes away to get to it.
the location of this hotel is excellent- right behind the Rijks museum, 3 minute walk from Leidesplein and just over the road from the canal boat cruise place. Overall the hotel was generally clean and tidy- the shared bathroom facilties were spotless and the shower was in a separate room to the toilet, so no queues! Our room (1401) was on a floor with just two others so we shared bathroom facilities but never had to wait at all. The hotel is very quiet at night and I slept very well.
When we arrived there were two glasses in the room that clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last guests left- one still had water in it. The mattress was also very strange- almost like a block of foam but one side sagged so I did almost fall out a few times.
-Close to Rijkmuseum. -The staff was very nice for giving an upgrade room to be in a quiet quarter.
-The room condition is not good. But it is clean. The reception looks new but the room itself is old. They only renovated the reception area!! -No storage room so all luggage bags must be left somewhere in the small lobby area--so afraid they would be lost. But it is all fine! -So many stair fights but it is normal for Amsterdam. -This area is not very good. After 9 pm., it looked unsafe to walk alone. Red Light district gives a safer feeling. -Not many choices of restaurants nearby. _Do not recommend to stay in this area. It is better to stay near Central train station and commute here for the Rijkmuseum just for 2.8 euro:-)
unpleasant staff, they gave us worst room without bathroom and toilet in 4th floor than we ordered. After arguing they gave us normal one in other builing but we need to pay 25 EUR/day more for our dog and we could not leave him in room
The positives are not much, but location for example is pretty good. Close to lively area with restaurants, bars, shops, tourist centre, tram stops, coffee shops, etc. Staff were ok, but i tried to limit my communication with them, because they could have not helped me much..
The hotel is small, however there were some negatives which i cannot ignore and feel obliged to mention, so other visitors are aware. I was placed on one floor below ground level with private shower/bathroom. The room was small and basic (which does not bother me), but there were stains on the ceiling and walls evidencing a recent water leak and high humidity. The room had a constant musty odour, and for some reason the small wardrobe also was smelling when opened. I did not keep anything in there. Plus safe did not work, even when i asked staff to sort it out they couldn't.. Situation in the bathroom was similar. It is basically a big room with a curtain attached clumsily on a part of the ceiling on a rail. The joint where the rail was attached to the ceiling was rusty and unstable. Toilet was also leaking and the toilet brush was broken. Wifi was unusable in this room.. Phone did not work and was sticky when touched. Microwave in the common area also not operational and smelly from the inside, covered in food stains. When I slept in my room during the first evening I noticed something like a small cocoon in the corner of the ceiling. I thought it's just a small spider web leftover. It turned out to be a butterfly cocoon, and two mornings later the butterfly emerged! I'm glad that this biological development happened in my room and that new creature was born, but the remains of this were not cleaned during the 4 days i was there. Same happened to my bed sheets, which i used for 4 days without being replaced.. The price I paid for this was about 470 euros for 4 nights.
