One of the reasons why I chose Art Gallery Hotel was the free wireless internet in the rooms and in the lobby, as it was written in the description on the web. In fact, there was no internet at all in the rooms nor in the lobby nor anywhere else. I was said by a receptioninst that there was a problem with the provider. Okay, that's possible, but why I should suffer of your problems? |

I was especially impressed with the variety of food available at breakfast, considering it is two-star accomodation. The stairs very were narrow...but it is Amsterdam. |

The fact, that each one night I came late and right after morning breakfast I went out, the hotel was good. I stood in one bad room nad it was smaller then I expected. But enough for sleeping. Very good location, just 10min. by walk from Rembrant Square... |

Location of the hotel is great, breakfast was nice, and, most importantly, room was very cheap! everything inside the building is quite old. However, given the price that is not an issue. |

Good location, very close to Museumplein, Leidseplein and Vondelpark (no need for buses or trams). The room was old, the bathroom drain flooded, there was even a remaining of a cigarette under the bed. |

Staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was wonderful and people friendly in breakfast room, free coffee, tea, fruit, all day, located close to museums and concert hall. Steep narrow stairway, no elevator, floor in room is carpeted, wood floor or pergo would be nicer in any hotel. |

This hotel is 15 minutes by tram from the railway station. It's near two great museums of Amsterdam - Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum.Hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful! It's impossible to carry your luggage upstairs! There is no lift, and the stairs are terrible. But it's a usual ting for Amsterdam. So don't take too much luggage with you! |

you can not open any window - because they dont want you to smoke inside price in amsterdam is generally to high - you get only amsterdam for this nothing else |

Staff was excellent, room was nice. Excellent breakfast provided. Stairs are very narrow--hard to feel comfortable with footing around the corners. Hallways are pretty beat up and a bit run-down. |

The hotel is very easy to find. I went there without a map and spent around 30 minutes only by going from the centre train station. All museums, shops, nightclubs, café in 5 minutes walk. Guys on the reception have been very polite and helpful. I have already recommended this hotel to my colleagues and friends. |

The staff tried to resolve the problem that arised Our room was supposed to be a small double room according to a website but in reality it was a hole full of a terrible smell. Beware of booking a room without actualy knowing what sort of room it would be |

Close to many restaurants off Leidseplein and Rijksmuseum. Good breakfast. No lift. Room on 4th floor has nice view but it is a real climb several times each day. |

The location near the Musuemplein, and easy connections to Centraal, and the wonderful neighborhood were the main attractions. The manager was 'zeer vriendelijk' and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. |

The reception with a very helpful young man, who supplied us with the option to upgrade to the toplevel room: view from the rooftop balcony over Amsterdam. When we returned the same night the reception-desk man on duty at that hour was much more rude, simply saying that he removed the key for the balcony since it was not allowed at night. No further excuses, no empathic attitude. Pity. |

The location was superb, very convenient for restaurants, art galleries and shopping, and the view was wonderful. Our triple room was basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. A good one: we'll stay there again. It was long way to the top of the stairs but then: that's typical of Amsterdam's traditional building. |
