Very small rooms with sloped ceilings on the second floor: be careful with your head when getting up! Rather cold and NO heating in the bathroom!

Very powerful shower. Helpful staff. Very enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Good wifi reception.

Dining room got full at breakfast time.

Stayed at Hotel Asselt when attending a concert at the Warsteiner HockeyPark, just over the German border in Moenchengladbach. It's ideally situated for this, just a very simple 20 minute drive down the motorway. The hotel itself is a typically Dutch/European business hotel. Very modern design inside, businesslike. If you're looking for a hotel to remember, this isn't it. But it is comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful, and speak good English. Breakfast was fine, unremarkable.

We stayed in an apartment. It was well enough equipped, but very spartan in terms of decor. There was a double bedroom and bunks in the lounge. The upper bunk had no means of stopping you falling out, which made it unusable (in our eyes!) for our son. It didn't really matter though as there was a good sofa, he slept on that. Not a problem for one night, but wouldn't have been deal for a longer stay.

It's location - it is in a very quiet village. Food as described by others was very good.

The appartment is advertised as "newly refurbished" however this was very disappointing. The walk way to the appartments clearly was still being worked on or had workers living in the other appartments. There was old furniture piled outside the door, no curtain at the door - meaning passers by could see into both the bedroom and bathroom. Outside was littered with cigarettes and dog mess. The description of an apparement should clearly state that bunk beds are in the living/dining area, which with a young child meant that we couldnt use this as bedroom. There was a big kitchen area with empty cupboards, no dishes/cultery. On arrival there were coffee cups on the table but nothing to make coffee/Tea with? It's clear this hotel is not finished unlike some of the comments made on the website - the appartments are very low standard. It's a shame because it could be a great little hotel.

It was close to relatives we were visiting. The staff were very good in dealing with any requests.

It is a newly furbished hotel and needs a few things to bring it up to par. hooks or rails for towels in the bathroom, tissues in the bathroom/bedroom. baggage rack and a safe. Only small things but they do make a difference.

out of village location no local shop nor public transport. no mirror in bedroom (only bathroom which mists up) door closures cause disturbance at night

The Hotel was in a quiet location, but close to main road links, ideal for visiting Venlo & Floriade, or as a base for exploring the Limburg area. The room we had was quite spacious, with two large single beds pushed together to make a super size bed. Every room has free wifi, and our room had probably the best power shower I have ever used. The dining/breakfast room was large and light, the evening meals were very good value for money, although not a massive selection, but very good quality. Breakfast was as much as you wanted, with a wide selection of breads, meats, cheeses and jams, and hot cooked eggs, bacon and sausage. Anyone who cannot find enough to eat for breakfast is being VERY difficult

The only slight room for improvement would be a wider selection of meals on the evening menu.

Considering we booked very last minute we could not have been happier. The only problem was the shared toilet facilities but other than that it was terrific. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Nice hotel in a quite neighbourhood.

It was a bit hard to find it - address says: Oude Baan 6, 6071 np Roermond, but that did not exist in my gps maps ... The right address is Oude Baan in Swalmen, which is, in a way, part of Roermond, but exists as a separate city.

The staff, very fast internet ( 7,8) comfortable bed, not noisy, flat tv, Allmost 4 ****. parking space, breakfast (needs more varity), The brothers are a nice familly

This interesting hotel just opened early March 2012. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room but with a few "teething problems". The shower door leaked and there was not heating in the bathroom. Other than that good. The restaurant is nice and have a correct menu. They will be succesful once they will get settled. It is nicely situated. Very calm in the countryside and still close to the main roads.

Leider waren in einem gebuchten 4 bett zimmer nur 2 betten bezogen. Die anderen 2 mussten wir zusammenbauen und selber beziehen. In der eingebauten küche gab es keinerlei inventar. Für ein teures "apartment" einfach zu wenig komfort.

Grote badkamer

Kleine kamer. Ik had ook een babybed. Geen waterkoker op de kamer. Gehorig op de gang, vooral deuren dichtslaan door de deurremmers.

Vriendelijk en gastvrijheid uitstekend voor herhaling vatbaar
