1. Tried to make a cancellation 48 hours before arrival and wasn't successful because the policy says cancellation must be made 2 days before. This is so unclear. 2. arrived the front desk at 10pm and was told my cancellation was cancelled because there was a cancellation request but i received an email from booking that room was still available for me due to unable to cancel without penalty. 3. waited for 30 mins then hotel said they will give me a room, then the room was small and not tidy as expected. 4. a true disaster and unpleasant experience, will never book this hotel again and wasn't happy with booking.com's cancellation policy and how it was handled with this particular hotel.

Staff were very helpful - enabled us to check in early and kept our bags until we left late. Rooms warm with comfy beds - great to come back to as it was bitter weather during our stay. TV and wifi better than we normally find at the cheaper end of the market which is our normal way of working. More expensive than we would normally pay but it was the Easter weekend and it was still one of the cheapest in Amsterdam.

No heating problem, fine bathroom, having kettle in the room was good. location is good, very close to tram stops, also Albert Cuyp Market is 5 min away by walking. poor isolation between the rooms, although we reserved for a double room our bed was two seperate beds joint together.

The room was not dirty (although not totally clean...) - The stuff was very bad with us: they asked to pay without giving us the possibility to watch the room and refused to give us a blanket - The room was not small (even if not big) but completely inadequate for the price we payed - The area around is not bad, with a nice bar and a couple of nice shops, but far from the city center (last tram at 00:30)

The location is good, there are several trams lines in front of the hotel, in less than 10 minutes you are in the centre. Also the area has lots of restaurants and bars. The room was not big but nice and comfortable, we had a balcony, that is good for smokers. We had some problems with the shower and the flush, but they immediatley solved it.

Although hotel isn`t located in the city centre is just about 20 minutes away by walking. Located just nearby Albert Cuyp market, Sarphatipark and few minutes away from Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and Stejdelijk museum hotel offers a nice stay to explore all the most visited sites in Amsterdam. Red light district is not far away though.

Has potential once the ongoing work is completed, new fire alarm look pretty with all the flashing light, and the hole in the ceiling by reception once repaired will cover up the soil pipe. Rooms will be a lot better once they have been freshened up Room 10 had kettle but no cups or milk for making a hot drink. Bathroom fan stayed on all the time. Toilet was sqashed in the corner Room 11 had drain pipe and as it was raining could here running water through out the night. Rooms 9 & 11 over bed lights stayed on as the switch was not obvious

-The owner of the hotel was very nice and accommodating - The receptionist was absolutely horrible, he was snobby, rude, and yelled at us. Should be fired. - the showers smelt of sweat -shower was designed poorly and the floors were always wet -and once again the service of the receptionist was disgusting and ruined our entire stay

Good hotel in a nice location, tram stops nearby, just outside the center canal ring and great value for Amsterdam, next to a park and a big street market. The room was spotless with a very good bathroom, nice balcony at the back of the hotel. Everything you need is nearby.
