The Atlas is a charming Art Noveau style building conveniently located a short walk from the Van Gogh, Rembrandt, the Rijksmuseum and other places of interest. We found many restaurants, cafes and bars also within an easy stroll in Leidseplein. The Atlas is comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff, from the front desk to the chap who serviced our room, were friendly and helpful no matter how much we two oldies challenged them! The reception staff can book theatres, tours, restaurants and taxis, a service we used several times during our stay. Our room, overlooking Van Eeghen Straat, a quiet residential street, was clean, well serviced and comfortable. Heartily recommended! |

The staff got me a taxi to the airport and it was the ceapest fare I've ever payed. It had to be prepaid at the hotel's desk. |

My room was much larger than at most Amsterdam hotels in the same price range. There was a queen bed and room to walk around it, a real tub, and a window with nature outside. |

The location is ideal. It's close enough to the city to walk, but far enough away to feel safe and comfortable. The park is a stone's throw away. The room itself was nothing special. Very low budget finishes and a strange shower. |

Check in was fast, the receptionist was competent, the room was clean, the breakfast was ok and it was better compared to other hotels I've been in Amsterdam. Good location, close to a tram station. 1. The amount that was charged on my credit card was different from the price I got at booking.com. Even after applying the 5% city tax and then 6% credit card processing on top of this, the figures still did not match. No one could explain this. 2. I still do not have a bill from the hotel and I still cannot justify my expenses before my company. The receptionist at the time of check out could not provide the bill and advised me to send an email to the hotel which I did but 2 days later I do not have a reply from the hotel. |

Location In no way should this hotel be certified as a 3 star facility. The advertised LAN was inoperative, due, we were told, to a change of ownership. Carpets throughout were dirty, the below grade rooms smelled of mold, we were quite unsatisfied. |

Decent size rooms for Amsterdam. Stairs also not the normal cliff face type normal for the city. Nicely decorated reasonable price. While handy for the museum area, it is a bit of a stroll from Dam square etc. |

It was close to two of the great Amsterdam Museums and close to Tram 2 that takes you downtown. Poor layout of the room, was hard for two people to shower, get dressed, and get going at the same time. No air condidioning, poor lighting. Carpeting did not feel clean. |

Fine hotel, on a nice location. They charge all nights during check in. Reception clearly mentioned that they do not belive on their clients even if credit card details are provided during check in. Several bugs where in the room. |

The staff was unbelievably helpful and nice. when we checked in we were given maps and explanations about everything which was very helpful!! We love the breakfast too! We also asked if the staff knew of a place that delivered and they had a whole binder for guest of take out menus. I also like that Vondelpark was right behind the hotel. Beautiful and safe looking neighborhood! When we first arrived the bathroom was dirty and stinky. The toilet seat was half off the bowl and there was dry urine on the seat. The shower head was broke. Though the second day when we came back from our journeys the room smelled excellent and the toilet had been cleaned! |

Fabulous location close to the downtown centre but quiet and relaxing -next to a huge downtown park and easy access to transportation and museums. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was also good,. Unfortunately right now there is construction on the building next door with early morning workers. Also the rental bikes from the hotel need servicing - probably better value to rent from a local bike rental shop. |
