The famous Vondelpark functions as a backyard garden to Hotel City Garden, which is on the fancy P.C. Hooftstraat shopping street. It provides rooms with street or park views.

30 meters for VondelPark, five minute walk to all the important museums, in a beautiful and quiet neigborhood, access to transport and food. Great price. Absolutely perfect.
Location, Continental breakfast is OK but we missed the dutch 'hagelslag'
Needs renovation and the rooms are small. They want you to give your bankaccount number. Do not do that. It serves no purpose.
Third time there - have improved!!! Staff were friendly and responsive. Keep it up!
Breakfast too late - 8:00am but ok when the shutters open
perfect location right on Vondel park walk everywhere so this is outside of the very downtown which would not appeal to us and was just great. good restaurants close by and we walked everywhere , never took the tram.
first night was terrible, don't book 2 single beds, as it is in the basement and small ,very sad. not that clean we were upgraded the next day after complaining and had a very nice room , king bed ,bright , no problem so make sure you book a king or double bed , unless you are really 2 singles who do not mind , the lower rooms should not be the same price.
Location is good, wonderfull park near the hotel
Breakfast starts at 8 am only, not really convenient if you have early meetings in the city
Staff were friendly and a great location by vondel park and museums
Twin room beds so small really shouldn't be rented to adults matresses saggy no heating Breakfast mostly cold even the cooked stuff felt claustrophobic in room and on breakfast area
Good location close to the Museums and No. 2 and 16 tram. Looks very pretty from outside. Wi-fi is good. Nice restaurants and Cafe nearby
The lovely room turned out to be in the basement close to the washing machine and drier which seemed to be operating or alarming most of the time and the smell of laundry was only marginally better than the cheap fragrance squirters which are in all the public areas. The view was of the back yard and not the gardens. Computer in the lobby costs 5 euros/hr and there is no printer.
location excellent reasonably priced staff courteous and responsive
- Good location: a 15 minutes walk to the museums, and 2 minutes walk to the Vondel Park (a nice place to spend an afternoon, to run, walk, bike...); - hotel is 10 minutes walk to the Tram Station; - the building is a nice Art Nouveau one; - the room was clean and it had heating; - the room had the facitily to make tea/coffee; - WiFi connection was good; - we didn't have breakfast there, so I don't know how the breakfast is;
- Room was pretty small and was placed at the groundfloor; - no fridge in the room; - extra 3 euros is charged if you want to checkout, but to leave your lugage there for couple of hours more...;
Location is great - good access to museums, restaurants etc. next to Vondelpark.
Hotel is very old and in need of refurbishment. permanent unpleasant smell of airfreshner! While some staff were friendly and helpful some were extremely disinterested and even rude.
Hotel Atlas is a nice little hotel in a nice area. The hotel is close to the traim line no. 2, which takes you right down town to the central station.
The rooms are tiny.
The hotel is in a good neighbourhood, the beds are quite ok and the shower works fine
Breakfast is poor, mainly bread cheese and juices. the walls are quite thin so you will yea your neighbours. The hotel charges you when you pay with your credit card (sick) also they charge you when you want to leave your luggage in the hotel after your checkout.
Small, friendly, quiet, right beside a lovely park and very close to museums and concert hall. Close to good bars and restaurants.
At present the nearby tram stop is out of action so walking is needed to get to central Amsterdam and we took a taxi to the airport to avoid hauling luggage over cobbles
The proximity of the Museums and Galleries and the peaceful area. There were plenty of places to choose for evening meals. The Hotel breakfast was excellent.
The rather small towels that really neeced to be renewed as they were not very absorbent . However they were replaced daily .
location, surrounded by Vodel park, near the famous brands shopping stree...
Breakfast quality and WiFi speed too slow
Mostly good - room comfortable
Staff just need to smile more and say hello without forcing it - serm to need to hospitality training
Great location, close proximity to nice large park, working elevator.
No parking, pillows could be a bit fluffier, more selections for their breakfast.
The woman at reception was not welcoming.I was given a basement floor room which had little light. This coupled with outdated dark furniture made this room very dreary. There was constant noise from staff as they washed linen in a closet right outside my door,
Location, just around the corner from Vondelpark, and few minutes from Museumplein Has a certain warmth and feeling of tucked in Nice view
Our room was very very small Lack of refrigerator in the room You have to pay additionally for the breakfast
If someone in the room next to you showers, this makes too much noise to sleep in
service - front desk the room was small, old and smelly, hot and full of mosquitos the way to cool was an electric fan that was hidden in the cabinet too expensive for the quality. my wife took my 9 year old son as surprise, i had allready booked the room for two, try to pay an extra bed, but that room was too small for it, and they charge plus 35€ for the "extra bed" that didn´t exist, the boy slept with us, and couldn´t cancel, otherwise i would lost my money.
- location - good bed (particularly in the room we stayed (#118) - quiet room
- they do not answer on direct letters, only via booking.com - quality of room-cleaning is not very good
Good location and easy to go to important places. Very comfortable and the staff is friendly. I would like to come back soon and I highly recommended to my friends
Perfect location, easily accessible, exactly what we wanted for our long weekend.
Pretty building Near tram, park, restaurants, museums Had bicycles to rent Helpful front desk staff
Small room Musty smell, coffee area in room wasn't clean TV didn't work
