Loved the atmosphere! Felt like coming home after a long journey and getting a royal treatment. Fantastic breakfast near the fireplace. Everything well taken care off.
The hostess is very friendly and can recommend restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Well located, 10 minutes stroll through the park to the bars and restaurants. Quirky but very comfortable and well equipped rooms. Although we arrived much later than anticipated we were made very welcome. Not your bog standard B&B.
My husband and I spent 2 nights at Breda for the "Redhead Days 2014". We booked the "Red Room" and were so surprised about the comfort. It was a quite place and the Family Graumann created a 4**** - room for an intimate stay at Breda. Fantastic! We will return next year for the "Redhead Days 2015" !!
Loved the decor, it's boho, quirky, but very welcoming. The breakfast room is gorgeous, candles everywhere. Nothing tis too much trouble. Music was playing in our room as we came in. Minibar is well stocked and good value. Spotlessly clean. Lovely canal side location.
The steep stairs weren't a problem for us, but could be for some - as it's traditional for this type of building it is to be expected. Had to use books to cover the glow of various electric appliances (TV, radio, etc) but they were lovely to have in the room!
- Beautifully decorated room - Fabulous bathroom with shower and separate tub - coffee/tea facilities & other attentions, mini-bar/fridge - fantastic breakfast - lovely welcoming couple - walking distance to center of town
- normally no direct parking around - room windows look out on wall
the individuality and character of the rooms; the personal touches like spectacles and chocs, and the location. we have stayed there 4 times now as we love the place so much! My parents-in-law stayed with us this time and loved the Mirror Room because of it's view. they thought the breakfasts were fantastic. we all adored the corner baths and quality of the bathrooms in general.
We usually stay in The Baron with the balcony as we both love fresh air but as it wasn't available we chose the Red Room instead. The room was lovely, but the windows can't be opened so it felt a bit stuffy until the owner kindly brought a fan, and I was concerned if there had been a fire in the corridor, we wouldn't have been able to get out. We'll definitely return to BBAdeS again, but not to that particular room.
Loved the old furniture/décor - very quirky with some interesting touches. The bedstead was very comfortable - the best night's sleep I have had for a very long time! Breakfast was superb: a lot of variety & plentiful! Hospitality was excellent. In spite of my negative comments, I would recommend this B&B & would, undoubtedly, stay here again. It offered excellent value for money.
The view overlooking the garden was very disappointing...the garden needs some tlc. The balcony needs tidying - probably some plant features would help. The suite could do with a freshen up with paint - it is looking tired.
Breakfast was great. The room was quite large and felt like home. And the proprietor was very friendly.
Steep flight of stairs to get to the room.
Really friendly helpful owners. Free chocolates in room. Fantastic breakfast. Good bed. Good shower & nice double bath. Nice quiet room.
Nice to stay in a typical home.
Our room was very cosy, nice interior. Lovely colours. Breakfast, fruit, bread, toast, eggs, ...
The matras was a bit to soft.
the breakfast area and service was very nice. The room was very comfy.
the check in hours was bad.
i absolutely loved authentic furnishing and unbelievably for NL spacious room. Breakfast area and service - amazing! Will definitely return if business leads me there again!
if you have big luggage, don't choose top floor because of the very steep and narrow stairs.
Lovely host & hostess. Delicious and ample breakfast!
- 10 minutes walk from the city centre. - Room is nicely decorated and it was cozy and warm.
- Lady from reception could have given us a bit of friendliness and a smile. She didn't seem to enjoy her job. She was curt. A little offer to help with the bags up the steep staircase would have been nice too. - We were asked by the same lady to separately pay in advance which we never experienced anywhere. When checking out and after payment, she didn't want to give us a receipt. - We could make coffee and tea in the room but no tea bags were provided next to the coffee pads. - The DVD remote control didn't work. - Hand towels looked old and worn out. - Staircase is quite steep, narrow and dark in the evening.
Room cleaning poor: Sheets not changed for three days. Room only cleaned once. No restocking of tea, sweets etc.
excellent service; breakfast with fresh baked bread, fresh fruit salad, fresh orange juice, egg and much much more; very friendly staff, walking distance from the central square, spacious, old fashioned, stylish room with dvd and cd player, coffee machine, complimentary chocolates, peanuts and cookies.
What's there not to like? It could do with a bit of paint, but even that fitted more or less with the style...
Possibly the most interesting B & B I have ever stayed in. Location, staff and furnishings excellent.
