Very friendly stuff
The room was in the cellar, so it was a bit noisy because of the street.
We chose to have a shared bathroom, next time would go with the private. Shared bathroom spotless, just would prefer private.
Staff, location , hotel itself all excellent
Where do I start? First of all this place is a hostel posing as a hotel. Our room was dark, we found a cigarette under our bed in a non-smoking room and when my friend opened her duvet she found a spider. We were in the basement so apparently according to the guy at reception "spiders are common". In a hotel. Our room smelt bad, it was dark, there was no television, we could hear the traffic on the road and to add insult to injury, they kept us up all night because the walls are paper thin and we could hear the people upstairs moving around. Worst of all the bathrooms are shared. It was like staying in the worst hostel but at EUR145 per night. This will go down as undoubtedly the worst hotel experience of my life
The atmosphere and presentation in both the shared sections and the rooms are amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel but maybe not the top floor
It wasn't a fantastic nights sleep two people to sleep on the "twin" share beds and the stairs are difficult with bags
Stuff was really helpful Location is awesome
No shower in some floors, small rooms and restrooms
Good location Good decor
Size and price Condition bathroom
Breakfast was great! Room decor was cool.
The stairs were a bit steep but we knew that before we got there. They were exactly what I expected.
The location is close to the Hard Rock Cafe and the main restaurants! The Wi-Fi is good and fast! The breakfast is good and the coffee was really good!
We've to wait for 30 min to ckeck-in because the room wsn't clean yet. Also, we had to open the window because the smell of the room wasn't nice!
Nice area, clean, silent.
rooms had only fans, so we had to open windows in the nights , Then could not sleep because hotels was next noisy street. bathroom was very small, this hotel is good families as all, booking.com should not have advertise under family catergory. NO lifts, carrying all the bags to fourth level was nightmare, at least they even do not have potter. stair case steps are smaller than standard size plus steps curvy as it goes up, I do not know whether these steps are build according to legal requirements( yet to find) They did not have common sense even a family coming obviously coming with more baggage, at least should have organised lower level room. 649 Euros for two days is a joke.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We only had one night and they helped us make the most of it. Themed hotel was a hit with our kids.
There is no elevator which is clear on their information but the stairs are very narrow and winding. It was a little hard to get are large suitcases up it, but we managed and had a great evening.
Location was awesome staff was helpful bar is great one of the best I've stayed in
Wi fi was not great.
-good location -nice stuff(please to answer every question) -A coffee shop is just next to the hotel -special decoration(back stage)
-bad smells come from the toilet -smelly bed -not enough light in the room -the stairs are killing me as i lived on the 4th floor....:)....
Locations was good, fairly close to museums and the tram station
My room was in a basement, I found dirty towels on the floor of my room upon entrance, very damp, poor lighting, poor ventilation, the shared bathrooms are not big enough; I strongly believe that you can certainly can find something better for the price you pay, staff was friendly though.
Everything you need to stay and enjoy Amsterdam. Located in the center of town
Location and proximity to the Melkweg. Quirky with the music references everywhere.
When we arrived our room wasn't cleaned from the previous guests.
Nice location (10 minutes' walk to the city center - Dam Square), friendly and helpfull staff, awesome design, rock'n'roll forever, very cosy, spacious and clean rooms, quick WI-FI, easy to get to the airport (local shuttle buses that go 24/7 straight to the airport from Hotel Americain - 5 minutes' walk from BackStage).
Nothing at all
Hotel was perfect, staff, location, cleanliness, this hotel was very good. Thought that being 15 min walk to Dam square would not be ideal but it worked out that the hotel had a better square a couple minutes away. Would definatly recommend a stay at this hotel an have a friendly beer with the staff like we did.
Trying to pick a thought with hotel is hard, if pushed to name one then I'd have to say the bendy stairs after a few beers too many were a challenge.
Staff were very nice, and the washrooms were convieniently located and clean. The location was also very good, arguably the most scenic area of Amsterdam, with everything in walking distance.
Great location and responsive staff.
Needs some refreshing. All private rooms have in suite bathroom -- they should not have an upgrade option.
Lovely little hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Perfect for our short stay in Amsterdam.
Very good hotel for the money. Nice and clean room!! Cool decorations. Just in city but we took taxi to Remdeinsplain, took about 8 minutes with taxi. Plus for big and clean sink in room. Also the fan. Really beeb thinking of everything in this hotel. +++++++ //Sweden
There was nothing i didnt like about it. Maybe that we couldnt open the window so much. But theres a reason also, so people dont smoke in room i think.
