Fantastic hotel! Staff are friendly and helpful would defo stay again
they have charged me extra %2 because i choose to pay with cc. This information is not writing on their policy also evening the man at reception told us that they can arrange taxi but in the morning they said we should find by ourselves.
Free wifi! Staff willing to give advice and directions. 1 English plug provided in room. 24 hour service at reception and bar.
Room 4 is directly below bar area so you will be woken up at 6am every morning by breakfast Preperation. One particularly unpleasant member of staff! Downstairs rooms have limited day light. We were charged an Amsterdam tax on top of our bill and didn't pay the price booking.com quoted us.
Excelent staff... very friendly.... Good position.
Good location, helpful staff.
Beware stairs, they are very cruel. My room was occupied by someone else, but I get upgrade for free.
-No elevators -Commun bathroom -Smell of weed all over -The hallway on the downstairs rooms dispite being prohibited smoking. -Keys to the entrance did not work properly
Location, theme & decor! & the way the manager/owner ??? handled my unfortunate encounter with a staff member. The room & bathroom were very fresh & modern with excellent Wifi reception on 3rd floor. The whole hotel appears to be well maintained & cared for.
Besides my unfortunate encounter with a staff member, I didn't dislike anything.... BEWARE - There's no lift in the hotel which is not a problem but the stairs are particularly narrow & steep which can be a challenge when you lugging a suitcase.
I really liked this place. Very cool with the musical equipment as the furnishings. Especially liked the snare drum as the ceiling light :) The room was a good size, warm, comfy and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again when I end up back in Amsterdam...
The stairs is abit steep but shouldn't be an issue.
the shower was not working,no one had a clue to fix it in spite of complaining.Extremely low value for money. Good location but badly maintained
Everything about this hotel was great! Exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a 30th birthday in Amsterdam. The hotel was clean, the bed was super comfy after lots of partying, staff were accommodating and helpful, the bar was fun and the breakfast was brilliant value. We had a shared bathroom/toilet which was clean and always available. The hotel's location was excellent. An easy stroll to everything we wanted to see and do. Would recommend to everyone!
This is a fantastic place to stay, not much walking to main attractions, restaurants and bars.
The staff we're very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, a two minute walk from restaurants, shops, the tram.
The double bed was two single beds pushed together , this is not ideal for a couple as the beds kept separating
Excellent service of the staff. Sometimes too noisy at niht
Service, breakfast - good and reasonable
I booked this hotel as a surprise for my boyfriends 21st for uproar in the dam weekender. Me and my boyfriend loved this hotel! The room was spotless, and exactly what I asked for. 2 minute walk from the centre with easy access to the tram stops to get over to the station, red light district and dam square however only a 20-30 min walk away. The guys who work at the hotel were great. Let us keep our luggage in the kitchen until our room was ready and after we had checked out so we could go do some site seeing before our transfer. All in all an excellent stay!
Our room was on the fourth floor which meant a cracking view but with no lift the stairs were heart attack material. They are the steepest stairs ever but it is the same every where in amsterdam. Also the drains get a bit smelly at certain points in the day but the canals are everywhere you go so no surprise.
Cool design Good location - close to both the old part of the city and the new one Friendly staff Ipod/Iphone dock station with radio in the room Cool bar downstairs with 1 euro billiards
Shared bathroom Sink is located right in the room It can be really noisy at night from the trams going by right under the window and drunk companies returning from nearby bars Beds tend to slide aside forming a gap between them 2 lamps were not working
Helpful friendly staff
Those stairs. ....wow
The staff were amazing very helpful
My room had half a curtain missing meaning people could see in
V friendly staff .... Quirky place, definitely go again.
Extremely close proximity to Melkweg (was in Amsterdam to see a band). Clean room/bathroom, comfortable bed, good facilities.
Stairs, but that can not be avoided!
Very friendly stuff
The room was in the cellar, so it was a bit noisy because of the street.
We chose to have a shared bathroom, next time would go with the private. Shared bathroom spotless, just would prefer private.
Staff, location , hotel itself all excellent
Where do I start? First of all this place is a hostel posing as a hotel. Our room was dark, we found a cigarette under our bed in a non-smoking room and when my friend opened her duvet she found a spider. We were in the basement so apparently according to the guy at reception "spiders are common". In a hotel. Our room smelt bad, it was dark, there was no television, we could hear the traffic on the road and to add insult to injury, they kept us up all night because the walls are paper thin and we could hear the people upstairs moving around. Worst of all the bathrooms are shared. It was like staying in the worst hostel but at EUR145 per night. This will go down as undoubtedly the worst hotel experience of my life
