The modern Bastion Hotel Schiphol/Hoofddorp, centrally located on the A4, has 80 rooms. It is 20 minutes by car to Schiphol Airport and 40 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam.

In Amsterdam, you can take a walk along the canals, visit the museums or visit a typical Amsterdam market. The hotel is also ideal for a visit to the city of Haarlem or the Zandvoort beaches.

Hotel information

The reception desk is open 24 hours a day and offers wake-up service, laundry service, fax and photocopy facilities and tourist information. The hotel features a friendly juke-box bar which is opened until midnight.

The hotel disposes over a Shuttle service. The Shuttle service is available from 6.15 until 23.45. It leaves every half hour.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served from 06.00-9.30 hours Monday to Friday and during the weekend from 06.00-10.30 hours. The grill-restaurant is open for lunch and dinner until 23.00 hours. A 3-course meal is available from EURO 21.50 per person and a daily special from EURO 8 per person. A packed lunch is available at EUR 7.50 per person.

From 12 midday to 12 midnight, you can visit the cosy bar, where you can have a drink and a snack. Every Wednesday night, the hotel organises a special football match or film showing.

Nice hotel, OK resturant next door, free internet access.

In the outskirts, so for other things than sleeping, it is not much to do in the surroundings and not easy to find public transport.

Staff at the hotel’s reception was very rude and unpleasant. Service was poor. Charged for beer that I didn’t have… Never will stay at this place any more!

the ventilation system made a terrible noise, to be heard in the whole hotel. Difficult to sleep in. The staff knows the problem but it not convince me that any action will be taken to improve this. This might be my reason not to come back...

On the 2. floor the second white door while closing are very noisy. I heard each entering or leaving guest. The schedule of shuttle bus (15 and 45 minutes after each hour) is not kept and that´s why I missed one shuttle bus. After this experience I was more carefully.
