Excellent heavy curtains keep the room very dark so that I was able to have a very good sleep. Much better in this respect than most hotels. The wireless internet signal was very strong and fast in our rooms (though we were near to the lobby so perhaps this is not true throughout the hotel). We were not very impressed by the food in the restaurant. There is nothing in walking distance.

Was surfing the purpose for our trip to Ameland the next morning It was extremely hard to find the entrance to the Hotel, due to road construction and signs which were placed in an awkward way!

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming, better than at any other hotel I have stayed at. It was excellent value for money with an amazingly good selection at breakfast and a much better than expected evening meal menu. The towels could have been larger/fluffier and the shower curtain less skimpy, those are the only 2 things they could improve on.

Alle wichtigen Dinge im Hotelzimmer vorhanden. Ein netter Zug: ein Schnellkocher, falls man sich einen Tee kochen will. Ein leerer Kühlschrank, den man gegebenenfalls selbst füllen kann. Die Service- Leute waren ausgesprochen nett. Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Zum Parken muss man ein wenig findig sein, aber der Parkplatz ist auf jeden Fall sehr angenehm. Beim nächsten Besuch in Leeuwarden werden wir BASTIOn wieder wählen. Wir haben nichts zu kritisieren.

Ja het eten was slecht. Ik bestelde een vegetarische pastaschotel en ik kreeg bami met ketjap en een plak gesmolten kaas erover heen. Dit voldeed niet aan mijn verwachting.

Goede locatie op loopafstand van de binnenstad Het ontbijtbuffet was om 9.00 uur formeel gesloten. Dat is wel erg vroeg, als je even wilt uitslapen.

Attentheid schoonmaakpersoneel. Een van onze groep had z'n toilettas laten liggen en werden vriendelijk gebeld door baliemedewerker. Minder was het feit dat we na het uitchecken en betalen een sleutel niet ingeleverd hadden en zelf het initiatief genomen hebben om deze terug te brengen, zonder dat we hierover gebeld zijn.........
