It took about 30 minutes to walk to the hotel from the train station and was easy to find. I was impressed with the room as I was expecting to be put into a small room at the back of the hotel like most single travellers, but instead had a twin room on the ground floor. I also liked the tea/coffee making facilities and the fridge which came in useful.

The room was clean and well equipped. The price per night was good. The hotel was extremely noisy. The separation between welcoming items (tea bags, coffee) and minibar items (chocolate, crisps) could be more evident.

Genoten van de stad. Dat er automatisch een extra reservering op mijn creditcard is gedaan voor het ontbijt. Dit terwijl ik had aangegeven geen ontbijt wenste en dus geen toestemming heb gegeven.

Het hotel functioneert uitstekend waarvoor wij het willen gebruiken...en dan telt eigenlijk alleen prijs, locatie en nachtelijke openingstijd. Het zou fijn zijn als ook onder de bedden zou worden gestofzuigd! Als je ze nu tegen elkaar schuift blijkt dat,.... Of... Echte tweepersoons bedden plaatsen...

Helaas werd het hotel bevolkt door dronken gasten welke de hele nacht de gangen op stelten hebben gezet. Een belletje naar de receptie had geen enkel resultaat, na een 2e keer bellen werd niet eens meer opgenomen. Ook ons beklag de volgende ochtend aan de receptie werd niet erg serieus genomen. Het klachtenformulier werd niet overhandigd en ook de beloofde email met klachtenformulier is niet gehonoreerd. 66 Pingels voor een slapeloze nacht erg duur. Kortom: afrader!

Fijn dat je 's nacht nog binnen kunt. Jammer van de losse bedden. De douche wisselt een beetje van temperatuur. Genoten hebben we vooral van elkaar en er zijn gelukkig geen krakende bedden.

Prima bedden en goed ontbijt plus vriendelijk personeel. Het Bastion houdt vast aan een vriendelijk rokersbeleid. Jammer, want als niet roker ruik je het toch nog wel. In mijn geval zelfs nog op de kamer.
