Stay for a few days and your fitness level is sure to improve just by climbing the stairs every time you return to your abode :D
Steep, narrow stairs requiire a fit person to climb them while carrying the luggage to the apartment.
Excellent wifi! It was a big surprise :) Everything else was perfect also :)
Our appartment was comfortable, very clean and not very far away from the city center.
Stairs are VERY high and steep. Old fashioned windows that do not open completely
Very close to museum zone, a couple of locals and bar near the apartment, but it depends by which apartment will assigned to you!
The parking is public near A10 highway (very very far!) and the staff didn't tell us that the price depends by the entry you keep (usually 50€ a day, just one is 1€ a day). You don't know where really you'll be until check in.
Bathroom was beautiful and the kitchen was fully equipped
Climbing the steep stairs to the fourth floor and the broken banister. Also only one room had a mirror
Not worth the money
The apartment was extremely outdated, decore felt like we were back in the 70's. I had to ask to have the shower head replaced as no pressure, no shower screen, putrid toilet, no ventilation, paint peeling, thin uncomfortable mattress. They don't tell you which apartment you have been allocated until you arrive which was a hassle. A few days after our stay we realised we had been double charged by Bema. Bema denied this and referred us to the Europe Merchant Service who unhelpful to say the least. After advising both EMS and Bema that I would get Police involved the 285€ was mysteriously refunded without explanation or apology from any party the next morning. Such a terrible experience that lingered days after leaving!
Nice, fresh and cousy apartment, got everything I needed. The stay made my trip so much more comfortable and encouraging. For me, it was the perfect stay and apartment. Real classy, I will get this room again next time!
I travelled with my husband and two sons during the last week of July 2014. When we got off the bus from the airport, we were impressed by the warm welcome of the staff. We were received by a lady and got many advice and suggestions of where to go and how best to get there. Bema is located in a very good location which is Jordaan, very quiet but very close to main attractions such as Museumplein and Leidseplein. The apartment is clean, the facilities are in good conditions. Wifi works very well. All in all, we enjoyed greatly our stay in Amsterdam and Bema apartment.
The location is nice
very steep stairs, used up apartment, not fair for the price
Loved the location and authenticity of apartment... Comfy, clean and great view. Free wifi also :-)
That I wasn't there longer! :-)
Location Size of rooms
The apartment was large with large, wide-opening windows and nice wood features. It was also only a short walk (max 5mins) from a square with a supermarket, alcohol store and pharmacy. As well as an Indian, a tapas bar and other bars. The apartment is also only a short walk from Leidesplein and the museum quarter.
On arrival we were warned about the steepness of the stairs leading up to the apartment, this was not a problem as it was to be expected as a traditional Dutch building, however, I would say if you are a mature person with limited walking ability then I would not advise this apartment as the staircase is very narrow and steep.
Very nice staff. Great location.
Location is excellent! Everything is so close and if not there is a tram stop right outside. Apartment itself was basic but nicely done. Up steep staircases but thats Amsterdam for you! Coffeeshop near by and supermarket! Great value for money, wouldnt be good for long stay but 3nts was good.
Loved the flat but unfortunately I have left with 7 bites caused by bed bugs which can only have came from here! Hate saying it aswell because I would have defo went back if it wasnt for the bites!
The price was really good. It was in a good location as it was surrounded by shops and places to eat. The shower was good and the living room had a sofa bed, which was ideal for our sleeping arrangements.
The toilet was small and the TV was an ancient model. Additionally, there were very few electrical sockets (plugs) for use.
near a tram stop and a supermarket, big and quiet. The children loved free wi-fi. It had everything in it. We would love to stay there again.
It was great, expect from narrow and steep stairways- but that is Amsterdam i suppose.
The close proximity to The Museum District
Lack of WiFi access
Nice room , quite Clean
great room for the price, fridge plus cooking facilities, location 5 minutes walk to Leidesplein, 20 mins from central station
not knowing address of property before arrival
Style of the apartment, the friendliness and how helpful Bema Rental staff was, location was great.
the neighbors upstairs were noisy, so there were 2 out of 4nights we could not sleep. It looked like they were moving but they had small children. We even met a guy when we were leaving in front of the house and he did not say hello or any sign of apology. One evening I wanted to ask at Bema office if there could be done anything so we could have a quiet evening or get some sleep, but the office was closed, so I thought no point to call when they are not there. Also there were evenings when it was quite cold in the apartment. Apart from this all was great. Thank you
Great apartment in the centre, excellent commute with trams, very cozy.
WiFi connection wasn't that great
location to grocery store,transportation,great neighbourhood
Stairs was an adventure if you have heavy luggage, hey but still great
central location inexpensive ability to cook meals-restaurants were expensive
very steep stairs would be difficult for people with disabilities bed was uncomfortable
The facilities are superb! The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is perfect.
It would be much better if there are opaque door for the shower and rooms.
Spacious apt, friendly staff
Poor heating, little privacy
