We like the location. In with the locals, great market, and walking distance to the city centre. The price.. but hey it's Amsterdam.

Staff was very friendly! Always ready to help or just answear questions. Breakfast rather good and satisfying. Not far from the center. We walked every day to the center Our room wasn't cozy, but then looking into others rooms I understand that it is just about our room. The rest of the hotel was nice!

All the staff speak very good English they are very friendly and helpful and you can get a great cappuccino for 1 euro also they have 2 PC computers that you can use to stay in touch back home. The only that is dodgy is the stairs they are very steep but that is the same with a lot of hotels in Amsterdam.

I liked that they had various types of rooms, from hostel to hotel. The staff was friendly and easy-going, free access to computer and breakfast included. The breakfast was good, but lacked in vegetables (they only had cheese and sweet spreadings and sprinkles for the toast. I would have liked to have at least some cucumber and tomatoes). Also we couldn't get the free Wi-fi to work.

I really liked the staff, very polite and ready to help. The cleanliness was very good as well and the breakfast was the best one ever in a hostel. Highly recommendable place to stay at when visiting Amsterdam!

Friendly staff and reasonably priced. I was looking for a place to crash after a concert in Paradiso. For that purpose the hotel is perfectly ok. Not clean, sheets had stains and the garbage bin had garbage from earlier guests. The (shared) bathroom was not too clean either and had a bad smell.

The peace and quiet (this was off-season!). The warmth (the weather was very very cold outside this trip!). The buffet/continental breakfast was very good and perfectly adequate. The location (a quiet back street and just a short walk from the tram stop). If I had more time I would have rented a bycycle for just euro 7.50 per day! The staff were also friendly and informative. The shared shower and wc facilities, although adequate, I thought these might not have been up to most peoples expected standards.

Great location - close to market, 24h supermarket, ATM machine, tram. Very helpfull and friendly staff. Rooms are small but clean, have to highlight very comfortable beds and pillows, wi-fi worked well. Toilets and showers clean. Also very good breakfast (considered that is included in price). Free PC with an internet connection. Would definitely recommend to friends and would return. Many thanks.

The location is very good - 10 min to the centre by tram or 25 min pleasant walk. The area is very pretty and quiet, but only 5 minutes walk from tram stops, supermarket and restaurants/cafes. The room is basic, but clean, quiet and comfy. Good choice for breakfast (cereal, toast, cheese, ham, pate, jam, tea, coffe, juice). Free wifi available. We bought dinner to take back to the hotel and were allowed to eat it in the dining room - the staff even lend us plates and cutlery. We had a room with a shared bathroom, the toilet as well as the shower were clean. There are some very steep stairs in the hotel. Not a problem for us as we are in our twenties, but older people with walking problems would probably struggle to walk up and down.

The location is good and renting bicycles directly from the hotel makes accesssing the city really easy and fun. Possibility of offering parking/ garage parking. The shared shower is dirty and not well maintained. The bedding is very minimul and the duvet is too thin. The second rug in the cupboard to put on top of your bed when you've discovered the duvet is useless. Is one of those cheap synthetic rugs which reminds you of something a homeless person might stash in alley. If you like ikea, you'll like the bicyle hotel. This was our second visit, it's basically exactly the same after 2 years.

Location in the Pijp is great. Lovely area, very nice architecture. Not too touristy, loads of local Dutch community, great selection of cafes, bars and hotels. Museums very close. Really near Albert Cuypstrat market, and a local park. Felt really safe. 30 minute walk to centre, 15 minute tram ride to Central Station. Staff provide good notes on area and map and great directions when you book. Bicycle hire only €7.50 a day, thoroughly recommended. You can eat your own food and get coffee outside breakfast. Lovely airy breakfast room. Breakfast available to 11 which is great. Good selection of cheese, salami, cereals, bread, gingerbread, crackers, preserves and spreads. You can eat as much as you like. Very relaxed. Room was warm and bed was really comfy. Staff happy to keep our baggage the last day. Rooms are small and not much storage for clothes etc. just a shelf and a locker. This is not a complaint and it is a budget hotel, just a warning for anyone travelling with lots of clothes. The shared toilet and shower are fine, but not salubrious, this is as much to do with the style of architecture, houses in the Pijp are really narrow. Warning, again not a complaint, the stairs in the houses in the Pijp are really vertical and you should clutch the bannisters at all times. It is like climbing a ladder, but very interesting to stay in an original style property.
