This cosy, quiet hotel is situated near the centre of Amsterdam, in the multicultural district of De Pijp, a multicultural area.

The best way to see Amsterdam is by bike. If you choose to do this, the hotel offers you the chance to hire bikes on the spot. The hotel is located near the RAI, the Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum and the City Museum of Modern Art.
The hotel’s mixed clientele are attracted by the cheap but comfortable rooms, the relaxed atmosphere in the cosy breakfast room and the convenience of being able to rent bikes. The staff offer you city maps and plenty of advice on alternative routes to explore the city by bike, as well as information about the markets, restaurants and cultural and sports events.

There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

Hotel receptionists were kind and helped me with information and hints about the city.

I got the fourth floor and the traditional Dutch architecture with no elevators and stairs like ladders were like clibing the Everest.

the staff was friendly and helpful; the hotel is at a good location, but is quiet; free wireless internet

the room provided the basics only; for example, there were no reading lamps at the bedside (or anywhere)

Really friendly and helpful staff. Tram stops are nearby so it's pretty easy to get around. There was a problem with our door lock and the owner came over to fix it as soon as we told him. The rooms are pretty clean and look quite new. There were computers with internet free for use in the lounge area and free wifi on all floors if you have your own notebook. Big plus for me.

Our room was on the 4th floor and this place does not have elevators. Prepare for a decent workout. The beds were a bit soft, maybe not that great for people with weak backs. The shared bathroom doesn't drain that well so sometimes you get leftover soap and shampoo muck from the previous person's shower. Overall though, the pros greatly outweigh the cons.
