Best Western Blue Tower Hotel  

Everything went wrong and was wrong!!! Unfriendly staff could not advise on prices and avaibilities over the phone (twice the answer was"everything is on the internet!"). In the bedroom now: light bulbs not working, furnitures mostly damaged, handles falling out of cabinet doors, too few hangers and broken. Lamp side table but not socket to plug it in. Dust all over the place. Found dirty laundry from past holiday makers being wardrobe. Towels with gigantic holes and stains on repetitives days, pillows full of yellow stains,room halfway cleaned on our last day, not allowed to take our drinks to our bedroom. Staff and General Manager were surprised that we had complained?! not interested! glad we never had breakfast.When the offer is too good to be true, then do not go there. It does not matter how much you pay for your bedroom, 1 or 2000 Euro, believe me this is not a 4 star hotel, do not waste your money.

The size of the room was very good. The cleanliness of the room.

Staff was really not helpful when asked to provide the phone number of the train station. Nor were they friendly. Also, Wifi was never working from the room, I had to use the computers on the ground floor and one of them did not have reliable connection. Also the corridor of the hotel were very smelly probably because of the old carpet.

The room was very nice, clean and welcome.

It is a little bit far away from center, it took 20 min. on tram to reach the center of Amsterdam.Taxi costs 20-25 euros.

The room and hotel has nice athmoshare, and they are really clean ;) The stuff is really helpfull, and there is a chance to leave your luggage after you checked out. The city center is about 20 minutes with bus 21 what can be an excellent sightseeing of outer and center district's life. Next to the Hotel there is a really good Turkish buffet and the Albert Hijn supermaket.

The most disadvantage is the bad, what was to soft for me. Other hands if sombody like soft bads, this Hotel can be the best for them ;) There was no minibar. After few days, the distance from city center can be unconfortable.

i didnt find the room very nice, it was cramped, dusty, cold and no means of fresh air as the window did not open, there was no remote for the tv even after we called reception and asked for one. the view we had was one of a brick wall

Away from the busy centre . Beds are so comfy and breakfast top marks . Staff friendly and very helpful. Will book again next year .

the hotel is excellent, stylish, modern and cozy. The rooms are tidy, have luxury, nice decor, good colours and comfortable big beds. The room size is approriate. The lobby is very stylish and inviting. The price-quality relation is accurate. Public transportation connections work well (tram&bus). Cleaning service was great. Free wlan worked well.

the taxi service took a long time when not ordered in advance. however, when pre-ordered, it was on time. Breakfast is quite expensive, about 14-15 euros. We couldn´t print out our boarding passes in pdf-format in the hotel lobby computer.

Normally this hotel is good so that is why we booked it again - for 3 different nights. But after the first night I cancelled the other two nights. The noise from the construction was unbearable. We were jet lagged after travelling from Canada and we are musicians and have shows to play. I was still charged for the 2nd night which I do not think is fair at all. I would not book a room here again.

Very convenient location - near highway to airport - it is just 10 min away. But also not far from city center... Very good breakfast choice. Free Internet. Friendly staff !

Restaurant is not working in the evening. We came around 9 P.M. - we where not able to get even a sandwich ??

A good business class hotel nicely decorated and close to public transport.
