This cosy 2-star hotel has been a popular venue already for many years thanks to its ideal location, friendly atmosphere and helpful multi-lingual staff.

Conveniently situated in the centre of town, just around the corner from the bustling Leidse Square, all the main attractions are within walking distance. Whether you’re travelling alone, with friends or family and regardless of where you’re from, we will do our best to make you feel welcome. We can provide you with a map and many tips of where to go in our lovely city and surroundings.

Our rooms range in size from singles to triples and provide you with a simple but comfortable place to rest. Breakfast is included in the price and the array of international restaurants and cafes in the area offer more than enough options for lunch and dinner.

Hotel information

Hotel La Bohème is located in a characteristic Amsterdam building dating back to 1905 and has 4 upper floors. Please note that we do not have an elevator.

Between 09:00 and 23:00 the reception and bar on the ground floor will be open. Here you can just have a drink or snack and relax, or the receptionist can help you with any information or problems.

All rooms in Hotel La Bohème are completely non-smoking.

Food & beverage

We serve a simple all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, Dutch style, until 11:00. After that, until 23.00, you can order from a great variety of drinks and some snacks such as noodle soup or toasted sandwiches. It is also possible to order from some of the menus we have available from restaurants, which deliver in Amsterdam, and enjoy your meal in La Bohème.

Room information

All twins and triples (in total 15) have a private shower and toilet. The 3 single rooms have a sink, but share a shower and toilet. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities and we provide clean towels. The rooms are cleaned every day. If there are any problems in the room, you can always contact our staff so it can be solved as soon as possible

Area information

The hotel is situated roughly 200 metres from the Leidse Plein, the main night life area of Amsterdam. Here you find a wide range of charming restaurants, bars, famous disco’s and coffee shops. Some of the most important museums, for example the Van Gogh Museum and Rijks Museum, are also within walking distance.

The hotel staff especially Majel and Astrid are awesome as they are very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, great, great location with loads of activities, shopping, eating and sightseeing in walking distance.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the best team I've ever met in a hotel! The location is also very convenient, with shops and transport just a few minutes walk away.

Can be a little noisy when other guests walk on the stairs or room above, soundproofing can be improved.

The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable, they couldn't have been nicer. The hotel was very basic but clean and met my expecations for the price. The location was very good; close to a tram stop and right by a main shopping/eating area.

The stairs were quite steep, although we were prepared for this and I believe that any other similar hotel would have the same stairs.

The location is the best. I stayed at a double room and it was very nice with its own toilet/bathroom. Staff is nice from the little I had to do with them. Excellent value for money.

The stairs suck, but that's almost everywhere in amsterdam. The room was hot, but I guess they are not used to hot weather so much...

The Staff were welcoming and friendly, a very relaxed atmosphere. The 10 of us that stayed there all enjoyed our stay, and will be returning to La Boheme next time we are in Amsterdam!

Excellent location (just around the corner from Leidseplein), very friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, and free wireless Internet connection everywhere in the hotel.

Bad ventilation (although the fact that the rooms are non-smoking kind of makes up for it), and narrow stairwells that make you think twice before climbing them when slightly intoxicated.
