Location was excellent, nice and quiet but not too far from the hub-bub of the city centre. Value was good too. Being able to come and go without needing to leave room key was also a big bonus. Rooms were surprisingly spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We liked the room size, quiet, warm, lights, patches of underfloor heating Took a while to figure out how to get the plug out of the bath. A wooden panel was pushed in. Hotels in general seem a bit underventilated.

It's located in a quite central area of the city, next to the main museums and parks. I stayed there during the winter and the heating in my room didn't keep the room warm at all.

The room was amazing, spacious, clean and with a very nice view Lack of water boiler , does not allow you to make your own coffee/tea. Breakfast time is too early (no breakfast later than 10:00 am) and breakfast itself is too expensive. 12 euros per person.

Staff were very friendly, location right on Vondelpark. Our double room had a large balcony overlooking the park. Large bathtub, very useful for family with kids. Everything was good and as expected for an older building, except for the shower curtain in our room, which was so filthy we chose to take baths instead of touching it. When we did try the showerhead attachment to rinse our hair, it just sprayed everywhere and was not very useful.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The linen was clean and the pillows were super comfy. The hotel itself was clean and the location was excellent. I thought having Vondelpark behind the hotel gave it a nature reserve feel. I enjoyed the whole experience! I have no complaints.

The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood. The park is back from the hotel. The room was a bit old and the bed a little bit uncomfortable.

The location was good for my needs-quiet street right on the vondel park.the tram stop is around 3 minutes from the hotel-no problem to get quick to the center. About 20 minutes walk to leidseplein- with bycicles 7 minutes and you are there. The singel room was very small but just fine. Did not take the breakfast. Good value for the money Small singel room- no place for suitcase on the room.the pressure in the shower was very low. When sit on the toilet my legs hit the shower wall- very small bathroom

I had a wonderfull view to the canal and to park from my window. The breakfasts price, € 12, is much too high for such a narrow offering.

Hotel is nice, staff is nice too. Like everything, in the old world, building is a little old, but the location is great, rooms are clean, we rented bikes. Located next to VongelPark, you get to walk or bike through the park towards downtown. Breakfast is good at BnB near Hard Rock Cafe, it is quite a walk, but we had great weather in July 2011. Park can be a little loud at night, locals love the weather and meet in the park at all times. In the room we did not need ac, with the window open, at night, we heard the noise, but it didn't bother us much. Wifi, is reasonable, and the staff allowed us to connect all devices (computer, Iphone, bb) for the same fee. Breakfast is fair and it is not included. Price is 12e

Our stay was comfortable. The room was clean and the although there were a few language barriers, overall the staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was beautiful and the surrounding area during the weekdays and evenings was quiet and peaceful. The bathroom towels could have been of a slightly better quality and size. It would also have been nice to have had coffee/tea making facilities available in the room. Also would have been beneficial to have had a laundry facility in the hotel. Found the extra bed supplied was only a camp-stretcher and yet we were charged and extra 32euro a night for it (bit expensive for what it was).

Quiet location with beautiful view over Vondel Park. Can walk into town or take short tram ride. Good breakfast. Bathroom was rather cramped and with harsh lighting (I had single room, maybe double rooms have larger bathrooms).

Great location with a view of the beautiful Vondelpark. Room was quiet. I haven't heard or seen any guests. You had to check in before 10pm. I didn't realize this, and frankly I've never stayed in a hotel where you had to come this early. When I rang the bell at 11:15pm, the lady from the hotel was quite upset at me for coming at this time, which was not a nice way to arrive. The only way I could still pay was with cash, as the credit card machine was already 'switched off'. On the other hand, it was my fault for being late, so I guess I was lucky to still check in at this time, as it's not part of their policy. Room was tiny, but that's the case with many hotels in Amsterdam.

Well situated right on the Vondelpark. On the park side you look across a small canal and directly into the park. Close to tram but off the main streets (very quiet). Helpful staff. Not too far from the Leidseplein and the Museum district (both a 10-15 min walk). I have stayed here before and in spite of some issues I would stay here again. May be a little too far for older guests to walk to the Centrum. Rooms are very small (single room anyway). Fine for a night or two/three but not for an extended stay unless you are out almost all the time. Breakfast is not included and is very average in selection. Internet is extra. Value is "average".

We got a special discount for Wi-Fi services (signal was weak at first) and were offered to stay in a room after our checkout for free before our flight. Stairways are too narrow, especially when you moving to a 3rd floor (lift / elevator is closed during night hours).

The location was quiet and near the tram and a lovely breakfast and ice cream place, the Gelati Spot. Walking through Vondelpark was entertaining every night. A little far from some places, but not too bad as long as the weather is nice. Room itself was clean and well-serviced. During breakfast, it was difficult to find anyone to help with service requests (more bowls, coffee, etc.).
