Amstel Botel  

The idea of the Botel is great. It was also a fun experience too travel in too Amsterdam on the shuttle boats. And even though we were out in the sticks there was still an okay restaurant and a takeaway near by.

There was NOTHING to do on the boat. The rooms was very small and the bed was bad. The bathroom was again very small and the water in the shower was impossible to regulate. The breakfast was at best okay. Not up to 3* standart at all.

i liked the location and how quiet it was

i think the bar area is too small some nights found it hard to get a seat

While trying to eat breakfast during the entire week; everytime I got up to get something I had forgotton , the staff picked up my plate and disgarded it! This happened 3 out of the 6 days I was trying to eat breakfast!

This hotel is very good value for money the rooms are small but kept clean. The menu is limited but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Transport to and from Centraal station is frequent and free. Our room was very quite and we had a great view of the lake and centraal area.

The pillows are square and very flat so we did not sleep very well. Bathroom is also very small. Hot water in the shower is very hot and I nearly scalded myself.

We had a great stay in Amstel Botel, staff very friendly and helpful to us. We had a great sunny city holiday in Amsterdam and great memories too. Great budget friendly place, happy with style of breakfast too. Location was just perfect for us as we travelled by car so free parking near by just what we wished for. Extra experience using shatle boat cross to Amsterdam main train station and city just taken aprox. 10 minutes very romantic in the evening :-)

Stayed here many times and always get excellent service given by friendly staff. The rooms are modest but very comfortable and warm. The bar prices are reasonable for a hotel in the city and the breakfast provides a fully acceptable start to the day with good variety of choice. Rooms are quiet good choice of TV channels.

The ferry is very handy, reasonably quick {about 12 mins journey} and of course free !! it is just that the Botel is now situated towards the port and away from the main attractions, so one has to use the ferry to get out and about. A minor gripe really and for us it will not stop us booking again.

The ferry which is near the hotel is very nice and make a nice place to visit Amsterdam when you come by car. The rooms are correct and the breakfast is good

The bathroom is a little be to small (but it is a boat so we can request all the thing).

it was friendly clean comfortable and perfect for a couple of days in amsterdam

it was very cold when we arrived we were given a room and the heating had not been turn on only a minor thing but would of been better if the room had of been warm

This is a fantastic place to stay. Catching a ferry into town and getting back to look at stars and city lights added an extra charm to our stay. Something even the finest hotels wouldn't be able to provide. genuinely plesant staff, a real joy. Thank you all.

Great price, reminded me of my time working on a ship.

If you come back late at night you have to take a shuttle which can be packed.

This is our 2nd visit to Amstel Botel. The rooms are small but you are on a boat, they are impeccably clean and extremely warm and cosy. We had a waterside view which meant we could sleep with the window open and not hear any noise at all. Although the noise is a minimum anyway due to the location. The staff are extremely polite and will do everything they can to help...you are not allowed to take food from the brekfast room however, on explaining that my daughter was feeling unwell, I was permitted to take her some brekfast to eat in our room. My advise is to ask the staff and you will be pleased with the answer. Snacks are served in the bar until around 9.30pm -- if you get hungry after this time, bring some food back with you from the station or the city. I have no hesitation in recommending the Amstel Botel to anyone who wants peace and quiet at night but is still close to the buzz of the city.

This is nothing to do with the Amstel Botel but Amsterdam has became very very expensive.

i love the breakfast lovely and warm in cabin rooms clean small but fine just for sleeping shower basic but lovely and warm cosy little room

you have to get on free ferry to get to it a lttle walk but there is nothing close by need to go out to eat there not much on the menue for evening meal only snacks

location fantastic beautiful view. Woke up to submarine outside window. Breakfast good choice.

Clean and simple.

Transfer was tedious. The staff were very uncommunicative.

Hearing the room next to us at it for a good hour!!

It was amazingly easy to get into the center of Amsterdam which took about 10 minutes (free ferry and free hotel shuttle after running hours!) The breakfast was really good and staff was helping! Overall very recommendable

The shower head was a bit weird, however, that's nothing that can't be dealt with

no food after 22.00 hours - we did not arrive till about 21:45, had to go into the city for food
