location we had problems from start to finish. We had no heating, room not cleaned during our stay and therefore due to no heating had no way to dry the wet towels, cold showers and were disturb by late phone call by staff, heaters that did not materialise, and very little effort made to rectify these problems. we were offered a room change after 1 day and night but given the fact that we were only there two nights did not want to move and lost confidence in the staff to provide us with the comfort and relaxing stay that we had anticipated. |

Cleanliness of the room - good location - quiet neighbourhood - nice breakfast staff could have been more pleasant - quite noisy inside the hotel (other guests taking the stairs) |

Excellent hotel for the price I paid (which I think was at a discount). Good interior design, breakfast room has nice features and a view of the canal. |

Fantastic hotel!! Loved the design, breakfast was very nice, and our room was huge! I'll be staying in this hotel next time I'm in Amsterdam, would highly recommend! The bathroom in our room had could have used a little more updating and the night staff at the front desk was a bit loud. |

The location is very good and the staff was very nice. The room was big and very comfortable. There is no lift, just like most of the buildings, but that was not a problem once the staff helped us with our luggage. |

The bed was extremely comfortable. We were given free upgrade to a room with a canal view. The breakfast was very good. Couldn't have been a better location, friendly staff and very uninvasive. Room was a bit small but perfectly functional and in light of purpose of our trip served its purpose.Room was not cleaned on second day. we were a bit late getting up but would have been nice if it was done by the time we returned that evening. I have bad knees and the stairs were a challenge. realise is syle of buildings though! not sure about having cats on the premises, am allergic! |

The location was unbeatable, right in the centre of the town, but still quiet... Everything (shops, museums, sights) was within walking distance. The atmosphere was pleasant also... |

The atmosphere was very friendly, relaxed. Very good support from the local staff. I would recommend it to people on tourism in Amsterdam that do not want to stay besides the noise and crowded centrum, and appreciating a confortable hotel built on an old traditional dutch house by one of the typical channels. |

Great location just off the canal and a 15 minute walk to the heart of Amsterdam. The breakfast is not the most extensive in the world, but in my opinion perfectly adequate. You need to be fit. The stairs are the steepest stairs I have ever seen, and in most countries would be illegally steep in a hotel. I was on the third floor. I carried our bags up the stairs and I am pretty fit. I would say that if you are not in good health and fit, if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor then you will have difficulty in climbing those stairs. Because of the stairs I would be careful with small children also. |

Friendly staff. Carried our bags up the steep stairs. Our twin room was large and well if simply furnished. Breakfast room pleasant with a nice view of the canal. Breakfast quite good. Location very convenient close to Leidesplein transport restaurants and galleries. Free internet. If you have a room up the top the stairs are quite tiring and steep. Bath room a bit small but adequate. |

the stuff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great view from my room to the gracht. The design of the hotel is beautiful! That had some problems with the warm water - but I guess it is fixed so far. |
