I enjoyed everything about this hotel. It was so incredibly charming and stylish. After staying at another hotel in Amsterdam, this one will be the one I stay at again. It was Amsterdam to me...not a typical standard hotel chain.

The only room for improvement would be the mattresses in my room were not very comfortable. Would have been absolutely perfect with a newer one.

The hotel was in a great area and was a lovely building both outside & inside. The rooms were both clean and comfortable, with a lovely design. The hotel met our budget requirements perfectly and it was a romantic break for us as a couple as well as fun with our friends & family. Above all though the friendly staff and excellent service made this hotel the best I've stayed at in Europe and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and recommend it to others.

Hotel staff is great, assisted us and indicated two very good restaurants nearby. Rooms were initially small, but we were changed to large ones below street level. Clean, I would definetely go back.

Some rooms may be very small, ask for the large ones if you have big luggage.

Room was VERY small - misleading photo when booking!

We booked for a 2p. standard room, but just because a 2p. delux room happened to be vacant, we we got that room instead. The room was neat, clean and pretty up-to-date furnished. Perfect Location, good breakfast and very kind and helpfull personnel.

The bed was good, but the mattress was two-parted.

Will definately book to stay here again, Natalie and Anya couldnt do enough to help us and were so friendly, we even got a room upgrade without asking. The rooms were clean and really nicely decorated. Definately go for the breakfast option, really lovely food. A short walk from the square with lovely views over the canal. Can't wait to go back !!!

No kettle/ tea/coffee facilities. No hairdryer in the room.

1-Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, you feel yourself like in your family or at your home in Amsterdam. I felt myself very comfortable and safe in this hotel. 2- Breakfast is good enough for Europe standards. They are cooking pancake if you want and it was more delicious than others outside. 3- Canal view was very romantic and good for feeling real Amsterdam soul. 4-Location is not too touristy but close to everywhere. If you like and able to walk you dont need any vehicle. 5- Room and reception were quite clean. Room cleaning is done everyday - thanks to Sara!-

It was very traditional canal house and of course stairs are like alarm. If anyone go upstairs or downstairs you can hear each step one by one and listen each words if they are talking.

The Hotel was perfectly suituated and our delux double room had a beautiful view over the canal. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Natalie who ran the hotel, she was very kind and helpful.

If I was to pick one thing it would be to have a more powerful shower but the shower we had did not effect our stay its just a preferance of ours.

The staff where really really helpful, they can help with cheap places to visit, getting around, and provide a huge breakfast for 10Euros to set you up for the day. There is a very nice reception/ breakfast room where there is tea and coffee all day. The location is brilliant (though canalside rooms can be noisy at weekends). My favourite place to stay

The location was excellent, close to the city centre, public transport links very good and generally quite quiet despite its proximity to the busy centre, Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

We expected a small room but genuinely didn't expect it to be as small as it was. Literally about 1 foot alongside the bed - that was it! By a long way the smallest room I have ever stayed in. A night porter came into our room on the first night at around 2am despite the door being locked - no explanation or apology the following day. There were a group of girls staying at the hotel, who returned around 3.30am on our second day there, making alot of noise talking/laughing and slamming bedroom doors until well after 4 without any apparent interruption from the night porter who must have heard it all. Two nights there and two unwelcome interruptions in the early hours leaving us with little sleep over the weekend! This all took the edge off of what was otherwise a fantastic weekend in Amsterdam. We will not be going back to this hotel next time we visit.

Good location and service

Unless you pay a lot of money the room is small and noisy and uncomfortable

The owner, Nathalie, was so wonderful to us. She made us feel like we were staying in her own home! Her employees we met were also amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is small & cozy, yet the rooms were very spacious, and we had an incredible view of the canal. Everything was decorated so nicely too! The breakfast was specially homemade by Nathalie, and very delicious!! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Loved the warm relaxed atmosphere. Natalie and her colleagues will go out of the way to make you feel like you are the only guest in the hotel.

The location was outstanding -- all major sites within reasonable walking distance but far enough from the madness near the main train station. The decor of our room was funky and fun which makes up for the smaller european size rooms which are unavoidable. The best part of the hotel was the manager/owner(?) -- she was very relaxed, friendly, helpful.... just a great person --- it seemed like we were staying with a friend! : ) Will definitely re-book here in the future. No need to look elsewhere.

On arrival we were maid to feel very welcome, the hotel is in a great location, near enough to be part of the city, far enough away to be just a little bit quieter when you want to be away from the hustle and bustle. Natalie and Erik were very helpfull and knowledgable about the city and gave us some great ideas about where to go and what to see. We had a great stay in this friendly hotel and we are definately looking forward to returning oneday!

Staff were very friendly and couldnt of been more helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Were staying in the annexe, in my opinion an annexe should be adjacent to, not this one! Despite being told it was a couple of doors down was actually about 5 and being on the end of the row, and next to a very noisy road was not best happy. Also said it had tea/coffee making facilities, that was in the hotel, you were expected to walk down the street to use them in the morning and you had to pay. If your staying in the hotel would recommend but not the annexe
