nice big clean modern, but not 4 star level Please...never ever stay here in Winter. Summer only. Rooms frozen solid. As cold as tool shed! Warmer in basement. No heater. Repeat No heater at all. Central heat turned off to economize on purpose. Look at list of complaints for heat, over 15 complaints in 3 languages. |

I came late and i got a room at the street side. Noisy. No apologies the next morning and they made mistakes with the incvoice. No service minded people behind the reception. |

Compensation was requested and given, a fair discount of almost 30% for the 3 out of 5 nights of our stay.. 1. After we got a room on the 3rd floor we realised ourselves that the elevator was out of service (this was fixed after 3 days) | 2. the room was very small, and the two sofas eliminated free space completely. | 3. we stayed five nights: the room was never cleaned as well as the sheets were never changed. Every day we had to call in order to get the correct number of towels, garbage taken out, and clean cups for coffee. | 4. coffee, tea and sugar were never "refilled" | 5. cleaners never knocked on the door, thank god we used the bolt. |

Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool is very nice. Lift was not working for final 4 days of our stay, which is too long. General maintenance could be better: our room door fell off the day we left. |

When you arrive at a 4 star hotel you expect a nice looking hotel, not broken windows, filthy carpets, no aircon, the room is so basic you may as well have stayed in an Ibis and paid less. it was very dissapointing |

It was a stop off on a road trip on my way home. There was a misunderstanding (my fault) regarding the payment, and the young man at the desk was helpful in this situation. Asked for non-smoking room; the room reeked with smoke and my clothes smelled of smoke the next day. The hotel was inflexible when I had a conflicting schedule problem and would not allow a change to the reservation, the room was small, the hallways smelled bad, and you could hear people all the time in the hallway. |

Location Breakfast cost, although very good and you could eat as much as you want £14.00 per person seemed excessive. |

The pool was very warm and enjoyable (although some lounge chairs around the pool would be nice). It was, by far, the smallest hotel room we have ever seen! Uncomfortably small. Also, although the rooms were supposed to be non-smoking, the room and the halls clearly smelled of cigerette smoke. |

Staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. From an era gone by. Faded. I cannot answer yes or no to would I recommend. As I was working across the road I will say yes I would recommend, but it is a distance from the centre. I didn't read the reviews. I expected gym facilities. |
