When you arrive at a 4 star hotel you expect a nice looking hotel, not broken windows, filthy carpets, no aircon, the room is so basic you may as well have stayed in an Ibis and paid less. it was very dissapointing |

It was a stop off on a road trip on my way home. There was a misunderstanding (my fault) regarding the payment, and the young man at the desk was helpful in this situation. Asked for non-smoking room; the room reeked with smoke and my clothes smelled of smoke the next day. The hotel was inflexible when I had a conflicting schedule problem and would not allow a change to the reservation, the room was small, the hallways smelled bad, and you could hear people all the time in the hallway. |

Location Breakfast cost, although very good and you could eat as much as you want £14.00 per person seemed excessive. |

The pool was very warm and enjoyable (although some lounge chairs around the pool would be nice). It was, by far, the smallest hotel room we have ever seen! Uncomfortably small. Also, although the rooms were supposed to be non-smoking, the room and the halls clearly smelled of cigerette smoke. |

Staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. From an era gone by. Faded. I cannot answer yes or no to would I recommend. As I was working across the road I will say yes I would recommend, but it is a distance from the centre. I didn't read the reviews. I expected gym facilities. |

Breakfast generous and varied, staff did their best (see below) Noisiest & worst night ever, also for the staff , who responded promptly, re. Next room problem, continued to monitor/ intervene - well done the manager. Large group of children rampaging into the small hours, unsupervised by parents drinking in the bar, were his nightmare too - not hotel's fault but hopefully you will complain to their school/group/parents. |
